I’m going to head to Walmart!!😁
Yay!! I hope you find some great plant finds! 💗🌺
Everyone loves a good bargain! I especially love the coreopsis.
Me too! I'm very excited to add to my existing collection of coreopsis. I just deadheaded these today and boy do they look better after being all cleaned up! 😊💗
Thank you!!!!
You're so welcome. I'll keep my eyes peeled for other great bargains and will be sure to pass them along as I find them! 🥰🌸
@@budgetgardeningvita Thank you. You're so kind 🙇♀️
I love fox gloves. I just discovered them.
I do too. I wintered sowed some a few years back and sold them in my backyard plant nursery for $6 each. They sold out very quickly and I wondered why. Now I know. Lol. They really are a cool plant. 😊🌸
Thanks Vita, great info!
You're very welcome, Jen! I love finding good bargains on plants! 💲🌸
That's a great haul!!!😊 For the past two years, I was able to purchase 10 hostas (Wild Brim) for $4 each at Walmart..They look great now!! ❤❤
Thanks, Nancy! Oh wow! That's a great deal on those Walmart hosta plants! 🙂🌺
I got found two Bobo Hydrangeas and a Pinky Winky hydrangea (all 3 gallons) and two Chantilly Lace goatsbeard plants, all for 50% off, so about $15/enormous hydrangea at Home Depot earlier this month. I stuck one of the broken branches when I was planting the Bobos next to the them in the dirt and that rooted, too. I think you'll have good luck getting that foxglove to bloom for you again next year if you cut the stems off now.
Oh wow. You got some great finds! I'll have to keep checking Home Depot and Lowes to see what they mark down as the summer winds down. I definitely want to root more Hydrangeas. Thanks for the suggestion on cutting back the Foxglove stems. I will definitely do that. 💗😊
@@budgetgardeningvita I've found hydrangeas so easy to root in a number of ways: when I trimmed them back by 1/3 in late winter those sticks rooted in water on my kitchen counter and put on leaves, then I potted them up in spring (this was probably the easiest way); tip cuttings root in soil with no rooting hormone; softwood cuttings root in soil with no rooting hormone--these also all root WITH rooting hormone but it isn't very important. For more important cuts to me I use rooting hormone in potting soil in a closed clear tub on my porch for humidity--that's how I've got climbing hydrangea to root. You've got such a green thumb, I'm sure you'll have no issues multiplying your hydrangeas.
@@cejanuary9378 Thanks so much for all these tips! I can't wait to try some of these! 💕💐
I got a phantom hydrangea at Lowe’s for $3. It looked pretty pathetic but I took it home cut off the dried leaves, water and fertilized it and it’s starting to grow some new leaves.
That is a good find! I never see any shrubs at Lowes around me marked down to $3. Was it a small size? I'm in MA.
Oh wow! #3 for a Hydrangea is a bargain!! I'll have to go to Lowe's soon to see what they have marked down so far here in New Hampshire. 🤞🙂
I usually have good luck at Lowe's ne er know what shows up on the clearance rack. 99 percent of the time just needs water.
Hi Michael! You are so correct. Many of those plants just need a little TLC. I'm tempted to stop by there tomorrow. I really don't need any plants lol but, well, a bargain is a bargain, right? 😉🪻
Sis I think you’re in the same area as youtube.com/@northlawnflowerfarm?si=bFjNZEJAENnqMkFo! She’s a former vegetable farm manager and also turned her home secret-flower-garden into a small business. You two remind me of each other. Thank you always for your channel! 🫶🏽🌸💖✨🪴
Thank you, Kibibi! I love Danielle from Northlawn Flower Farm. I believe she's in zone 6b / 7a in Pennsylvania, which is not too far from me here (zone 5b New Hampshire). She has a wealth of knowledge and I have learned so much from her wonderful channel. 🥰🌼💗
@@budgetgardeningvitathank you as well! If you Ladies have UA-camrs like you both - but located here in Georgia (zone 8b), please kindly share 😊🫶🏽💖🙋🏽♀️✨🌸🪴🙏🏽
