I was suspicious when you said "anyone" could drive it because not anyone has the physicality and skill to handle an F1 car, then it turned out to not really be an F1.
Anyone can drive one, but not many can drive it fast.
Doesn't matter, most people probably won't even do anything close to a hot lap.

Swen Snoek Is het wel. Ze hebben er alleen een 600pk motor in gedaan vanwege veiligheid. De oranje is de Arrows A21 waar jos verstappen nog in heeft gereden en de andere is een jaguar F1 auto waar ik de naam niet van weet. Behalve de motor zijn het gewoon F1 autos

Since he is describing the power to weight ratio describing how fast a car with less then 600 horse power goes considering it only weighs 1500 lbs then imagine a renault prototype also weighing only 1600 lbs that actually has 800 horse power now imagine that speed. Its somewhat arguable that these cars are kind of more just like heavy 4 wheeled motorcycles then cars but I suppose technically they are more similar to a car then a motorcycle but just for a frame of reference to get an idea about the speed and handling of what they are driving with the power to weight ratio behind it. Unbelievable torque as well if you want to calculate the ratio of 606 lbs per foot of torque of a car weighing 1600 lbs the torque pound per foot is over 1/3 the number of the cars weight. Hard to say exactly how fast that is but its fast. Like i said technically a car but to me more of a 4 wheeled motorcycle when you get into these types of vehicles.

V8 600hp, the original engine from 2001 where 3.0Liter V10's with over 800HP.
the Main reason (besides Safety) they changed the engine is that normal humans (read non racing drivers) can't keep the engine running,
the engines were designed to keep them above 12000 rpm under that the engine would just stall because there was barely a flywheel on it.
Also 10k Rpm or 20k rpm engine maintenance big difference.
If you dont believe it or w/e, google/youtube it, Richard Hammond (from Top gear) explained it really well in old top gear and also short discovery series.

We racing fans know all that. A lot of us clicked on the video because it said he going to drive an F1 car. Then he casually mentioned that they changed the engine and was a measly 10,000rpm, that's why everyone is disappointed.

Not in the Arrows it didn’t. 2001 Ferrari was making ~750bhp, the Asiatech was probably 100bhp down, which is why the Judd V8 in it now would be just fine without stressing a 17 year old chassis.

Well, that's still miles away from anything approaching an actual F1 car experience, but theres no doubt it's still pretty epic. The fact of the matter is you can't easily put mere mortals into an actual full tilt F1 car without it ending in a total disaster. Congrats Parker that looked like a truly spectacular time.

Noiderate No, the car is like 98% of an actual F1 car, but a mortal like Parker (or any of us) can only drive it at 1/3. Give him 100 more laps to get comfortable and adjust his mind, and it will get closer. Put Hamilton into this car, and he will deliver F1 lap times.

How to make people think F1 cars are slow 101
I hate to do this but I feel like I have to call this out since it's false advertising. Even though it has real F1 body (or at least good replica of it), the engine is not Formula 1 - cylinder count is wrong, RPM is wrong, even the exhausts in the Arrows are wrong. So it literally just has a wimp version of a road car or something in place of the real deal. So, if you are watching this, be aware, that is NOT a real F1 car and whatever these guys are advertising, you don't get to drive one there. False advertising. I almost feel like UA-cam should remove this video. :/

3.0L Swept Volume on the V10 with mandated forged crank was rev limited to 19k. Anything more would have granaded the engine.

Keep in mind that both of those cars are old and detuned in order for you to manage it.
Imagine what it's like driving a newer one spitting out almost a 1000hp, that can go zero to 100Mph and back to zero in 5 seconds!.
There is not a single car on this planet engineered like a Formula one, they are not the fastest, but nothing come close to the sheer explosiveness of a F1....nothing!
the car in this video is not a formula 1 car . You can tell it by just looking at the aero and body.

@@f18murderhornet It does look like the Jaguar Cosworth R2 and the Arrows A22. They do look like the legit chassis although a number of little differences. Could be a basic setup. Could be a test car. Could be a show car. Who knows. I know they won't use proper F1 seating positions, but the whole panel section around the driver doesn't line up. This could be custom to allow punters to get into it though.

For those in doubt those cars are former F1 Chassis and yes they've been modified for reliability and maintenance issues. Still makes them F1 cars just not the power levels even the one that JWW drove was detuned to save on wear and tear. Still tons of fun and great video Parker this is what living a dream is all about enjoy it young man because life is short and might as well have fun while you can really enjoy it and then look back at all the memories later on in life.
It's not an F1 car. Not according to the FIA rules handbook of the year the chassis is from. Also, if you put a Toyota Starlet engine in a Ferrari Enzo, it is (to my opinion) no longer a Ferrari. The name applies to the full package.

The Arrows had a V10 Asiatech A22 engine. So it looks like they use the F1 chassis but changed the engines by V8 engines.

Yes, that's great experience! But remember, that real F1 car was 200kg lighter and it's engine was reving to 18KRPM and has 800HP not 490. Your tires were as well "made by wood" compared to real F1 tires. So - now you can think - how difficult was driving real F1 car "on the edge".

F1 cars hate first gear
They have comparatively little torque, the opposite of a diesel engine...and rely on power generation from their high RPM.
The low torque is due to small cylinder volume, short piston head excursion, and high compression.
When an engine has low torque, the mass of the car in first gear works provides a massive amount of resistance to the crankshaft.
These things are meant to operate above 6000 rpm. i.e. race.
When the car starts to move from the pits, if the team push the car it significantly reduces the torque required to get the car moving, and reduces the chance of stalling.

I have heard the V6 have flatter torque curves meaning they have higher torque at lower rpm.
However, I don't know how prone they are to stalling.

I love how people think that power to weight ratio is nuts. Clearly you guys have never heard of a sprint car. A 410 sprint makes approximately 900 hp and only weighs around 1,400 lbs. Kind of puts that Veyron you mentioned to shame.

The Amazing One if it was a actual f1 I live the cars and everything about them and I’ve raced in f4 before and it’s something everyone should at least do once but a f1 car the amount of strength in your legs you need to put down 100% brake pressure is insane and believe me I’ve felt the g’s of a f1 and it’s not fun

If anybody is aware of what car used this engine in Formula One, please let me know. It Is A Judd V8. I have the sneaking suspicion this is from a EV spec March car from 1989-1991. I think it would be awesome if they used a Yamaha/ Judd V10 from the 1997 Arrows A18 that Damon Hill drove. That, would have been the experience of a life time, and any man's dream.
