- So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Matthew 24:15-16 ESV
Yeshua said that, when we see the Abomination of Desolation prophesied in Daniel 11:31, those in Judea should immediately flee to the mountains, that the greatest tribulation mankind has ever seen is about to begin. There are four general ways to interpret all Biblical prophecy, but only one of them fits what Yeshua said in this chapter. The skeptic says all prophecy is fake and the gospels were written after-the-fact. The preterist says these prophecies were fulfilled by Titus in 70 AD. The futurist says these prophecies will be fulfilled at some future date. However, a cyclical understanding of prophecy shows that the preterist and the futurist are both partially correct. Antiochus partially fulfilled Daniel's prophecy around 168 BC and Titus partially fulfilled Yeshua's prophecy in 70 AD, but a worse tyrant will inaugurate a much worse period of tribulation when he blasphemes God's Tabernacle at some point in the future. I agree that the war in Jerusalem in 70ad was a partial fulfillment-I’ve heard some argue that when the Ottoman Empire invaded, it was the abomination, because they built the mosque on Temple Mount 🤷🏻♀️ I believe the scriptures talk about what already happened as a warning to what is going to happen.

Good Morning. Just found your channel. I also am Torah pursuant for 4 decades.
One thought which came to my mind the first time, was that the DIFFERENCE between the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D and those previous to it was ***THERE WAS NO ARK OF THE COVENANT*** in the Temple in 70 A.D. but the ARK was there in the previous destructions/desolations.
I believe this may be a hugely significant point to consider, in deciding whether or not 70 A.D. was the "Abomination of Desolation" of which Messiah spoke.

Good assessment Jake. I've been perplexed about something lately. Even before I got serious about eschatology, the dome of the rock and the mosque was always repulsive to me, still is. Having them on the Temple Mount as well as being anywhere near the ancient temple from 690 AD to present time 1300 years later seems to me to be as bad or worse of an abomination as a pig in The Temple. I can't imagine what a worse future event/presence could be that desecrates God's holy site. I wonder what it could be? Nice scenery there btw.

I agree that the abomination will be the clue that tells us that worst time is upon us. I also agree that there have been types of the abomination of desolation in the past. I believe we have to translate that to the present day, hence the admonition to consider this carefully in Matt 24:15. It will not look like it did then but will be an end time similitude. If we take Exodus 31:11 and translate it to the present day we get: anointing oil (the Holy Spirit), incense (the prayers of the saints - Rev 8:3) and the Holy Place which is in the temple (the body of Christ - 1 Cor 3:16). Add to the this that you cannot abominate what God has not sanctified, and it leads to a rebuilt temple being a red herring. We may already have had our own end times similitude of the abomination in 2020. A few thoughts for your consideration ❤️

That’s a lot of “translating” as you say. The problem with that is what did it mean to the people who first heard it; those who didn’t have all the NT passages you refer to? Rev 11:1-2 tells us there will be a temple, built of course, by the Jews who still haven’t come to Jesus. It doesn’t say that God ordained it in anyway, but a fact that there will be one and Daniel's prophecy fulfilled. The statement "that Daniel spoke of" may also be an indication that while Jews will initially see it that way, it won't be seen that way by God.

Good question, I think that fits. Oct 7 2023 was a sabbath and it was before winter. And the jews did flee to the mountains around jersusalm on that day! They had NO time to pack or get anything from their homes during these attacks. And those terrorists targeted woman, pregnant and otherwise. As well as killing babies. Also the attack was on an moed (appointed time). Not to forget it was 3.5 years after the strong delusion took place world wide. I've learned so much from Christian Widener, author. He's also on yt. I'm reading his book and real events are converging. Be blessed 🙌. Ps things are not what I expected or was told by preachers regarding eschatology. I've heard this and I believe it's possible. I know that what our own perceptions of how we think this will all unfold are changing every day. Praying for clarity.
It seems like much too small of an event to me and didn't have much of an effect on Jerusalem.
To small? We're you there? What would it take 10000 dead? This is what I mean when I say, I think our perception, rather preconceived notions of how it's going to unfold may be way off. No one knows, only speculation.

I just came to your video because today I was reading the KJV. I’ve read the New King James Bible front to back but I haven’t read the apocrypha books that are in my King James Version so today I was reading 1 maccabees and in 1 maccabess 1:54 it mentions the desolation of abomination and I thought wow has this already happened then and most of us just don’t read all of the books?

And the title of the chapter is, Antiochus Goes Up against Jerusalem by Force, Sets Up the Abomination of Desolation in the Temple, and Slays Those That Circumcised Their Children
Wow as I’m writing this I just heard you mention Antiochus, ok great that’s what I was reading about. Now I’m diving deep to try and understand Jesus.. Yeshua speaking to us in Matthew 24 with the rest of the word. ☺️ I was thinking just because I read this doesn’t mean it can’t happen again. What has been…will be again. There is a reason the plagues repeat and are similar to the ones of Egypt. The MOB is similar to what the Hebrew boys went thru. Why does Jesus reference the sabbath when Christians declare it done away with. Go back and do the first things first.
The TIME IS AT HAND !
The abomination of desolation already happened. Luke actually reveals exactly what this means. The Gospels are to be read together as each writer records different details. Jesus is speaking to a crowd and even says that their generation will not pass until these things happen. In other words, he is telling the disciples that many of them will still be alive when these things happen. We can't read passages like it's all written directly to us. They may be written for us but not all passages are written to us.
Read Luke 21 for context
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it,
22for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.
23Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people."
It's about the armies surrounding the temple to destroy it. That already happened just like Jesus prophesied.

@@myfriend280 That was definitely abominable! But Luke provides details that were specifically talking about the event of the armies surrounding Jerusalem and calling that the abomination of desolation. "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near".
I read another comment that mentioned there are a couple different abominations of desolation. I am trying to read that comment and passages to understand that more fully.
@@danielmotes7969 If you follow Jesus’s logic in Matthew 21,23, and 24 the abomination of desolation was the rejection of the Son of God culminating in his murder and crucifixion. He literally declares the temple desolate while he’s standing in it. He tells parables metaphorically illustrating how the rejection of the son and of his servants will lead to the loss of the inheritance of Abraham and the destruction of the temple.
In another place he tells the lady at the well the time is present when they won’t worship in the temple but in spirit. The spirit of God rested in the holy of holies and the veil was torn at Christ’s death. Signifying the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy. The Holy Spirit left the holy of holies because Christ had just been sacrificed. (Ie the abomination of desolation) The coming of the armies would occur years later but it’s all one prophetic event. As far as the chronological timeline, Jesus uses prophetic language so the chronology is not his focus. He organizes the prophecy as a set of events with no strict order necessarily. Some order can be deduced but in general he’s saying they will kill the Christ and the wrath of God will be on Judea and the Temple will be destroyed. He says that generation will not pass without seeing those things so the things he speaks of occurred. The rejection and murder of Christ and the destruction of the temple.
That’s one reading anyway. I happen to believe it. I’m sharing it merely for your consideration. Godspeed in your studies.

History repeats itself. I think that's why every warning God gives us in the Bible is repeated numerous times. I think it's because he knows we forget or we don't learn from the past and he doesn't want us, the church to be surprised.
There was an abomination of desolation spoken of in 1 Maccabees 1:54 as well. I think if you really study this out, there must be a temple or at the least an altar at that time. I know some say that we are the temple but it doesn't really make since to me that way.
There will not be a rebuilt brick & mortar physical temple for the final fulfillment of the prophecy
I think in Maccabees is referring to Antiochus epiphanies, and in Matthew 24, I think it is referring to prince Titus, whose father just became emperor of Rome, when Israel was destroyed and AD 70

I would say there is three Abominations Of Desolation.
1. Daniel 9:27 - 70AD
2. Daniel 11:31 - Papal Laws starting around 500AD
And arms (Civil Power of Rome) shall stand on his (Papacy's part), and they (Rome + Papacy) shall pollute the sanctuary of strength God's Sanctuary, and shall take away the daily sacrifice (True Religion), and they (Church And State) shall place the abomination that maketh desolate (Papal Rule/Laws).
3. Dan 12:11 -Spiritual Israel/God's people - Beast wound healed - Church and State laws
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
So yea I'm looking for some kind of church and state law that will force us to worship the Beast over God.

But I still expect a more severe law to come out that probably means death if you don't follow it. For sure you can't buy or sell.

The second temple destruction and its abominations that led to its desolation was fulfilled in 70 A.D.
The final abomination that maketh desolate will be when the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled.
There were 3 invasions of J.city, 1st one was probably 605/ 606 b.c. and it looks as though the Levites had removed ark of covenant from the temple perhaps as early as 609?
The eagles referred to could have been the Roman flags resembling eagles.The 1290 years could have preceded the Dome of The Rock cornerstone of 685 a.d. plus 605 b.c. Then forward to 2023, Oct and you have 1335 yrsof Dan.12 ,also. Yes, it has. The abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel standing in the holy place mentioned in Matthew 24:15 was clarified by Luke in his parallel transcript of this statement in Luke 21:20 as "Jerusalem surrounded by armies".
It was surrounded by armies in 70 A.D. and utterly destroyed by the Romans, under the guidance of Christ, as the Hebrew of Daniel 9:27 actually says "Upon the wing of abominations, he will be desolating". The wing of abominations referred to the Aquila standards (which were literally idols to Zeus, a.k.a. Satan) of eagles carried on poles by the Roman legions into the city.

And it will be surrounded again. Isaiah 29 talks about Jerusalem being surrounded and in verse 5 it says “But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant,6. the Lord Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire”.

This is introduced at verse 14, following all of the previous verses which describe the assaults of enemies that God would inflict on this people as punishment for their lack of heartfelt sincerity in their worship, which would devolve into merely their mechanical performance of prescribed rituals:
"I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people". Its effects are elaborated in verses 17 to 24.
However, His second coming, which is indeed still in our future, is not what was described in Matthew 24:15-21 and Luke 21:20.
The original language of Isaiah 29 verse 5 can be more accurately translated as:
"And the rushing roar of your estrangement will have become as fine dust, and the rushing roar of the ruthless ones will have become as chaff sweeping through / overflowing, in an instant, suddenly."
@@vf3289 Jerusalem, representing the people of God and their form of religious worship, has been oppressed by Rome, which is the terminal kingdom of the golden-headed image, and the little horn, which has since manifested in its final form into the Antichrist power, ever since 63 B.C. The final people of God are still dominated by Rome and will continue to be until just before Christ's second coming. In a figurative sense, we are being surrounded and will be increasingly so until that time.

The Dome of the rock was built at the temple mount in 692 AD. This is when the abomination of desolation was set up. See Danial 12:9. A day for a year. 1290 years I think point to 1981 and 1335 to 2026. Take a look!

It happened in 167 BCE and will happen once again at the end of the ages just before the resurrection. Jesus makes this clear in Matthew 24:15 for He spoke these words almost 200 years after the first abomination of desolation.

Go read Amos 9.
Because we are at the day, the time, the hour and the season, the Lord Jesus reveals things to us. The line of events have made it clear, the UN wants to take over the whole world and are succeeding as being part of the beast, or the authority of the Beast. If you pray, and read Rev 13, how it speaks about buying and selling, and the mark you will come to realize one thing. This isn't about money at all. I direct to the guy who made this video. Jesus will show you what this means.
For my whole life I thought it was money, I thought it was food. That indeed is happening but for another reason, inflation and control. but this is a spiritual matter instead. The mark is now, it's right now, and people don't see it because they don't have eyes to see or ears to hear.
Jesus spoke to us in Spirit, not physical, however there are some physical elements as well, like dying because you didn't take the mark yes, of course. Because we won't bow to the beast and take its mark number of the name or its image, people will be killed for having the mark of God on them. Let the Lord's Spirit direct this to who is called to read it. The mark it not in your hand or actual forehead, it's a spiritual corp worship of Satan. it's already here. When it becomes enforced then we have come full circle.

Colossians 2:16-17 there are no sabbath days anymore. Christ is our Sabbath days work and we can worship God anytime anywhere any place 24 seven!

Scripture is clear of the events concerning the reveal of the antichrist claimiming to be God within the 3rd hebrew temple, then setting up a image of himself within a wing of the hebrew temple that causes the abomination of desolation of the temple.of which commenced the great tribulation from the antichrist upon the saints.
It's not what you think, it's what God says. Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Praying that the day that you need to flee is not on the Sabbath, clearly indicates that it's not okay to run for your life on the Sabbath. At least then, for they were under the law. I remember the first time I read through the Bible, and when I got to the end. I felt a sense of urgency, that I couldn't explain. Jesus told not just his Apostles, but other people that he would return soon. It makes perfect sense to me, that Jesus returned shortly after the destruction of the temple, and we are living in the short season of Satan's release.

Amen brother! The abomination that causes desolation is described in 12 books of the old testament. The abomination of desolation of the past pales in comparison to the distress of the end time abomination. The army of Gog and Magog (king of the north) will be burned after they have destroyed Jerusalem and it will be desolate by an earthquake that will rock the earth, this has not happened yet. Today's preachers say this all took place in 70 AD, they need to study the old testament.

Past iterations of the abomination have involved desecrating the Temple and altar through idolatry and trying to force God's people to sin. Anything is possible, but I don't think a nuclear war fits that pattern. Not that nuclear war isn't possible, just that it's not prophesied by the "abomination of desolation".

9:55 God did not create Adam more than once. Jesus did not die for our sins more than once. Prophecy is not fulfilled more than once. Eusebius, Josephus & Tacitus wrote about the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible does not mention a third temple.

That warning from Jesus was not for Christians, it was for Jews in Israel. Remember, the church was not even founded yet. It is not the start of the tribulation; it is the mid-point of it. The tribulation starts as it states in Daniel, with a peace treaty between Israel and the one whom will be revealed after that as the antichrist. Daniel 9:27 “And he [the antichrist] will make a firm covenant with the many for one week [a Sabbatical week is 7 years per Daniel], but in the middle of the week [42 months per Rev 13] he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering;

I think Titus did not fulfill the scriptures that we see outlined for us he did not fulfill all the qualifiers but I agree that there could be multiple fulfillments. @@vf3289 I used to believe similar until I continued to study out revelation. The first beast is apollyon (ba'al/ nimrod) given in revelation 9:11 and revelation 17:8. We're given his name directly, no need for reinterpretations. He is the beast that was(prior to the days of john existed), is not (did not exist in the days of John), but will be again. So you would have to believe Obama was in existence prior to the days of John, that's the only way that interpretation works. The people who John was speaking to would have known exactly who he was talking about. He was worshipped in every religion under different names which even the scholars have acknowledged. That's because according to Josephus he tracks back to the tower of Babel, he was the King of Babylon. Even more interesting one of the only polytheistic gods that they said would return. Ill try to drop a link where you can go look more into it if you choose. Hi Joy. Thanks for asking! I do frequently call him Jesus, but I usually use the Hebrew form "Yeshua" for a couple of reasons. First, it's a real word in Hebrew. It means "Salvation"! Jesus is a transliteration of a transliteration of Yeshua with an added English accent, and doesn't have any inherent meaning in English. Second, Yeshua is the name that his friends and family called him while he walked the Earth. I appreciate it when non-English speakers make an attempt to say my name correctly, and I want to give my King that same respect.
I don't think there's anything wrong with saying "Jesus". Even though I appreciate foreigners trying to pronounce my name correctly, I'm not at all offended if they say "Yay" or "Dzhey" instead of Jay because the J letter might be unfamiliar to them or difficult to pronounce.
