  • After buying an eastwood car rotisserie we install our 70 firebird to continue the restoration process.

    I was going to mount my 70 Camaro the same way but I realized the same thing you did when mounting to the rear shackles. Balancing is a pain on the F bodies because of the height difference in the front & rear mounting points. Rear sits higher so you have to do alot of adjusting to get it to spin smoothly. It's tricky & if you don't get it right the car will flip under it's own weight & that would suck big time.

    I put my '64 Chevelle on a rotisserie last year and you are right it is scary until you see that it actually works. Mine is a little lighter as I removed the glass, doors, and trunk lid. Still makes me cringe when I rotate it!

      Now that we have fully stripped the car down to a bare shell. It is a lot lighter and doesn’t make me as nervous haha

    Needed to take of the doors, trunk lid, back bumper, etc….

    I'm building a 73 Camaro.
    With a Roadster shop cassis Was wondering what you did for the steering.

      I haven’t got that far yet. Been a while since we worked on it. Need to make some time for it tho.
