Karl, getting you're videos in my feed now due to your great review of playseat challenge, which I've now bought, thanks for that, I love it! (I'd watched a few reviews but yours swung it) Ive had cv1 for years now. A key thing ive noticed using this tracking system, is be very careful if you have ANY mirrors in the room. This will play crazy games with tracking, as infrared light is reflected in mirrors just the same as normal light. (My old desk based setup had drifting tracking regularly till I realised I had to cover my mirror during use)
Thanks Dave! Yes the mirror tip is a good shout, I don't have any in my play area but large screen TV's can have a similar effect if they have a very reflective glass too.
Just bought the original cv1 pack with the Xbox one controller( b grade £100) and also the touch controllers and a sensor (b grade £32 + £15) cex don't sell the controllers and sensor combined) from cex , all in it was £147 yet they sell the cv1 with 2 controllers +2 sensors b grade for £160 and you don't get the Xbox controller , really looking forward to giving it a go
I loved my Rift but I could never mount my sensors anywhere to give me full LOS. I had to stand them on my desk behind my monitor. I could never reach things on the ground in Arizona Sunshine for example. Why I'm thinking about grabbing the Rift S. Maybe I should look into selling my CV1.
I found one for 250 CAD, is that a good price? is it worth getting this over a 150 CAD acer mixed reality? My room is quite small and I'm not sure where I can mount the sensors.
Karl Gosling I didn’t even notice it. I bypassed it by setting them up closer then i moved them and set my space. But hey thanks a lot your vids were a ton of help with my decision with buying the oculus. Keep up the great work :)
Great explanation, I have one above me on my ceiling and the other just below head eight on the wall in front of me. Seems to suffice pretty well for my game play. :)

I'm so jealous of that play space! I'm running 2 sensor 360 setup and ,as you said, its almost flawless if you position them right.
Still end up hitting my TV from time to time! lol

Karl needs more attention really because some people don’t think you can get the cv1 anymore whilst Karl here says you can get them refurbed by oculus

I bought oculus rift cv1 2 weeks ago and i still dont know how to use it becouse hdmi dont want to connect in oculus app
connect it directly to your gpu not the mainboard or an extension

Yeah that sounds a little awkward, Rift S will work though for sure.
I gotta get a 3rd sensor for my refurb rift
Definitely helps but as I say in this video you can run room scale without if you're play space isn't too big.

Thats fine, they can move around quite a bit before it effects tracking.
I got one for 650 aud with a 3rd sensor and bunch of things to set up the sensors should be here in a week I'm pumped

Is your 3m extension cables USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?
USB 3, it has to be for at least two of the sensors.

I only have 2 sensors and i don't know why you would need 3. 2 Sensors works completely fine for me and i can move 360 degrees.
Bigger play space.
Oculus setup says you cant put them more than 6 feet apart and it doesnt let me set it up
Just click the "Continue Anyway" option mate.
