    Are you a reality tv addict? Or do you consider it a waste of time? Whether it’s your guilty pleasure or something you try to avoid, we will let you in on some behind the scenes secrets from people who have been there. Let’s just say reality television isn’t as real as you might think. Much of the drama on shows from Toddlers and Tiaras to Big Brother is completely manufactured by producers. The contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette act like they want to find love, but nothing is spontaneous, and behind the scenes hookups happen far more often than you might think. We are not saying that Bear Grylls doesn’t have incredible survival skills, just that we don’t get to see them on Man vs. Wild. House Hunters on HGTV might be the fakest show we know of, since the people featured on it have to have already purchased a home before filming even starts. the best thing with "surprise visits" in reality tv is when they film it from inside the door xD

    • @Dargonhuman

      Yes! I can't stand reality TV, but my roommate loves it, so every time that happens on one of her shows I have to say, "Well, good thing they were already filming another episode to catch that."
      Then again, I do that with porn too; whenever it's supposed to be "real" or "raw" or "POV" but then the camera starts moving or there's a cut to a more artistic angle I'm like, "Wait, hold up..."

    • @lisalangille2071

      Ghost87 - I’ve ALWAYS said that too! How is it a surprise when there’s a camera filming from inside the damn room/house?!!?? Yet, everyone denies what I say when it happens!! 🙄 good grief!!

      I remember when there was a contestant on the bachelor, when she was 1 of the last 3, so the bachelor was “filming in her home for hometown dates” She was filmed in a lavish home with 3 brothers, yadda, yadda.Etc..I figured it was fake, of course, but never really had “proof”.
      One day a couple of seasons later, on some other show like duck dynasty or something, they came across that bachelorette at her REAL home! She was selling deep fried pickles & deep fried gator meat! I was shocked, not because it was fake, but because she was a memorable contestant and thought no one would recognize her! LMAO! 🤣🤣

    I don't understand the faking of house hunters. Why not film actual people looking to actually buy a house. My mother has been skeptical of this show for awhile now

    • @shadowscall7758
      @shadowscall7758 4 роки тому +11

      Because you are NEVER going to get actual people looking for a house with their genuine reactions. As soon as someone knows a camera is on them, they change. It is unavoidable and to try and convince yourself otherwise is naive.

    • @TimothyTranEnjoysLife
      @TimothyTranEnjoysLife 4 роки тому +8

      Because you can't guarantee that if you film someone looking to buy a house that they end up getting a house. Imagine having a film crew follow a family looking for a home and the result is that they 1) decide they don't like anything available on the market or 2) run into problems financially and can't afford a home or 3) any other reason for not being able to buy a home. Then the show will have wasted time and money.

      Sad to me people watch these types of shows believing it. My sister in law watched storage wars for like a year and I finally watched one to see what it was and omg. Fake like every show they call reality tv. Same 3 people, always win and always find an expensive or rare item in it 🤢🤢🤦‍♂️🙄 once you watch a few episodes of any of these shows you start to see the pattern and realize it's fake. Might as well watch Jerry Springer. Fake but at least it was entertaining and something new each episode

      She is not mispronouncing it really for the word derives from a Greek compound word
      υπερβολή see υπερ-βολη. See compound word, when you pronounce it hy-per-bo-le is how your pronouncing it, but this ignores the word is from Greek and hyper-bole though in Greek it is Uper-voli... See modern English is influenced by an older Greek than modern Greek though, but compound words are not split up into many syllables. I mean like the name Richard a Latin person pronounces it Ri-chard, while the name is Germanic so a compound name Ric-hard or Rik-hard like RikR HarthR or HartR, or Reichhart. Then English people mispronounce eagle it is eag-le (aig-le) derived from Norman French which derives from Latin for Aqui-la, see do you pronounce eagle as eagull as like seagull?

They claimed a plastic sink was worth $3000, a wooden vanity was claimed to be worth $4000, and an incinerating toilet they valued at $5,700. All the prices were completely insane and it made me wonder why they would post fake costs for all of these things? I looked up the same model toilet they had and it was $1,800.. Why would they allow the final edit to contain completely false prices on everything? It makes absolutely no sense.

    So out of all of them kitchen nightmare seems the least "scripted" seeing as it really is a eatery in trouble "leading questions" could just be sour grapes from people after the show as aired and it didn't save there cafe.
    Also I think you can see there is a alot of warmth in the way ramsy acts alot of the time so i'm not surprised people found him really nice and supportive.
    He loses his rag alot of the time when someone calls the show in for help but then don't think they need any help !!!

      I'm guessing your not aware he's a horrible misogynist and cheated on his wife? Really don't like the dude. He vilified an popular Aussie TV show host for no reason (not that there is a good enough reason to say what he did), calling her a lesbian, pig and that she needed botox. He also used a disgusting photoshopped picture of a naked woman with the features of a pig, on her hands and knees with breasts to describe her. Even our PM had a go at him, rightfully so, how disgusting! Sick individual. He's unstable to say the least.
      "Ramsay told an audience (at a food and wine show in Melbourne) of several thousand people that Grimshaw was "a lesbian", the Sunday Herald Sun reports.
      When the crowd reacted with gasps, he said: "What? I'm not saying she's a ..."
      The phrase that Ramsay used was a highly derogatory term often used to describe lesbians.
      Ramsay also showed a picture of a woman - who appeared to be naked - on her hands and knees with the features of a pig and multiple breasts.
      "That's Tracy Grimshaw," he told the audience. "I had an interview with her yesterday - holy crap.
      "She needs to see Simon Cowell's Botox doctor."
      Ramsay - who later dismissed the comments as a joke - went on with more innuendos about Grimshaw's sexual preference and activities. "

    one of the episodes of the bachelor (or bachelorette idk) involved a horseback riding date and it was at a former friend's farm. the girl couldn't actually ride a horse for shit but his younger sister was about the same height and had a similar hair color so they filmed his sister doing a ton of tricks and jumps then said it was the contestant and got a reaction shot of the guy being amazed by it.
    His sister was also was the person who rode the horse into the sunset with the guy at the end of the "date".
