    When my son bought his house he was a little strapped for cash. I love saving old stuff, so from what I had in my “stash” and from “curbmart”, we were able to furnish two complete bedrooms, living room, kitchen, breakfast bar stools, tv stand and a card table for the man cave on a shoe string! It was a lot of work but like the pieces you did, they are quality pieces that no one else has, and also saved these things from the landfill!

      @@FurnitureFlippingTeacher so true. Imagine how boring a world if we all liked the same things! That's why I said it wasn't my style BUT. I watch a lot of diy and home designers on UA-cam and most of them do not have the same style. However, I keep watching them because I learn from them. And just like music. I love certain style but I can appreciate many different types of music. Sometimes I look at a pic of a room and it's not my style but I love it. I appreciate the beauty even if it's not my style. And I appreciate your work (not a brush stroke showing!). It was all beautifully done.

    This was a great, great idea! Samantha said it all when she said she didn’t want to spend all this money on newly manufactured pieces when there are more than enough good, solid used pieces that can be refinished or painted for a fraction of the cost. Keeping stuff out of the landfill is key. I am amazed how this collection of different furniture pieces all came together seamlessly at the end. Also if she gets boarded down the road and her style changes, she can repaint. By the way, there was this creepy guy in purple shoes in the background at the beginning of this video and he showed up again at the end. Be careful. He looks dangerous! LOL!! Just kidding, Neiman….we all love you!

    As an antiques collector, I was heart broken to see you destroy the dressing table. It's a shame that the mirrored piece wasn't still attached but it's sort of rare these days to see old mirrors still in tact on pieces like this one. The veneer was chipped and in places completely gone but that would have been an easy cosmetic fix, by replacing the veneer to keep that beautiful wood grain showing. I think I would have loved to see a gray white washed effect over the piece rather than the gray paint.

    • @joycelove5454
      @joycelove5454 2 роки тому +6

      Wendy, I understand your distress as a collector of antique furniture, but personally I'm glad to see these pieces converted to something that's functional for the way we live today. I'm with you on the gray paint, however - just not my thing. I was also sad to see that the beautiful hardware was not refurbished & reused, it is so cool & unique.

    I must admit girl I’m truly impressed. The house and the furniture are exceptionally outstanding. As if the furniture ( new) was customized for the house! Girl you’ve had my attention a long time ago but never have I seen the extent of your maximized potential. Bravo 👏! Bravo 👏!

    Beautiful work!! I love every single piece. Just wondering how you get such smooth finishes? I use many of the same paint brands you do and I struggle with the top coat looking streaky. Any suggestions? Keep up the great work!!!! 😁

    What a great idea. You did a wonderful job, and I love how everything coordinates. The two nightstand from one piece of was the most surprising remake.

    My mom had those same barstools in her house in Texas (that we cleaned out in 2019). I think she had 8 barstools in two different heights. The shorter set went with a matching cocktail table. Heavy BEASTS they were. Good furniture for flipping. If you need more badly enough to go get them, they might still be in that small town shop.

    I really enjoyed this video. It’s so interesting to see rooms decorated with second hand furniture. I’m sure this could be a whole new business for you doing peoples homes or working with real estate stagers etc. Great work!

      Actually, she will do the same colours over and over for those depressed clients : gray on gray, dark gray and some white, and that's it. This kind of interior is extremly common. You'll find it almost everywhere. It's not Lauren's fault, she's doing a great job but watch rather what she does when the colour choices are hers : gorgeous greens, light yellow, old white and so on. And her pieces are selling very well, which means that some people have still taste and are willing to bring colour in their lives.

      Christine, I don’t expect to see results like I would find in Veranda Magazine, or Architectural Digest but she is young and will most likely continue to grow and experiment with design. She also wants to respect the clients wishes.

      @@michellepereira2328 Anyway, she did it once and I'm not sure that she will do that again. Her imagination and creativity are blocked by those "clients". I watched her own colour choices in other videos, they were far better and more enjoyable than those shades of gray :)

    Everything looks beautiful. It would be my taste to have some wood finishes but that's a personal choice.

    Hi Lauren, the rooms look beautiful with all the furniture you restyled. I love the paint colors your client chose. Changing out decor colors will be simple because of the neutral palette. Your work is so professional now. You should be very proud of yourself. Neiman, thanks for all the heavy work you do, and of course the hours you spend filming and editing. The final videos are top notch. Congrats team FFT!🌷🌷
