ok ok since I regularly come back to this video here are the pro tips I found:
- put another blanket on top of you to make it heavier (or if it's too hot try stocking pillows), this is very calming for most people
- stuff a sweather and cuddle it, it's more natural than a pillow
- try to match your breathing, it's good for anxiety relief and calming down (don't do it if it's to hard or you feel like passing out or sth)
- use a lock function app so your screen is black while sleeping/trying to sleep
- go to the settings and set a time limit for youtube (like 2 hours or sth) that way you avoid the ads at the end and the video won't run all night
- if you wanna go the extra mile: spray cologne (or deorant) on the pillow/sweather that matches the peson you want to cuddle
things to NOT do:
- phone under pillow, the phone can overheat

You know it's comforting to see how many people there are that needs things like this. I actually bought a boyfriend pillow, it's amazing and has a chest and arms that I can fall asleep in. I felt hugely embarrassed and ashamed when I bought it, but now I've realised that if it brings me comfort, helps my anxiety and insomnia and makes me feel less alone, then I don't care what people think. It my life and I'm not doing anyone any harm. Big hugs to everyone sleeping alone tonight 💜💜💜

My heartbeat synced up with the heartbeat in the video and when I noticed I could feel myself just melt. Hearts are designed to copy rhythms that they hear, so having my heart match the one in this video made it feel like me and whoever I was imagining with me were in perfect sync

I'm in a happy relationship with my boyfriend and even I use this to fall asleep. This has nothing to do with "oh I feel sad listening to this because I don't have a S.O". This is pure calmness and anxiety reduction. Its immaculate timing and consistent that it puts you to sleep. Even with my bf, I listen to this. There's nothing sexual nor shameful about it! So don't feel bad. When I was single, I listened to this and now that I'm taken, I listen to it. My bf can't put me to sleep 24/7 cause we don't live together. Plus his snoring drives me nuts 😂. You don't sleep on your partner all night anyways, you guys end up turning away from each other and then eventually making your way back to each other throughout sleep. When I was younger it wouldn't be uncommon I'd sleep on my dad's or my mom's chest, this brings me back to those times, surprisingly the sound of breathing has always been soothing to me. Not only that, but I've found it more soothing to know the fact I'm not alone when I'm sleeping (in the non creepy way)
