      Exactly! I really don't like it when ppl claim not to see color as if that's a 'good' thing... when there's absolutely nothing wrong w/seeing color.... the problem occurs when "seeing color " causes you (general you) to discriminate or practice racism.

    • @youre_totally_right_but_
      @youre_totally_right_but_ 10 місяців тому

      As an asian person, who tf cares if anybody sees color. That’s a part of their identity, and you can’t just not acknowledge it because of your fear of being racist. See color and see them as human beings like you. Jesus. The important thing is he’s actually speaking out at a time when no one even wanted to. White ppl istg.

    He doesn’t deny his sexual escapades , in fact in his autobiography he gives a very good summary of why he believed he continued to sleep with many women, and why he was so promiscuous. In his own words he felt his mother chose alcohol over him at the very start of his life, then his caretaker whom he loved and admired left too and he felt deeply abandoned and isolated as a 7 year old boy. He grew up with insecurities that led him to seek to replace the two most important women in his life, his mother who was never around, and the mother substitute that he had who was a darker complexion woman whom he most likely was in love with and deeply attached to. In many ways Brando was a man who understood his behavior to be determined by his childhood traumas and his inability to trust others. Psychologically speaking his behavior was typical for many people around , entertainment industry actors and singers etc., they achieve fame, popularity, admiration of millions yet they’re deeply unhappy within, sad, depressed, and because they don’t address their inner problems they become addicted to alcohol, sex, and excesses of all kinds. They are led by their urges and impulses to fill in the empty void that was left by the adults that betrayed them from their childhood. At any rate I like his raw honesty and his ability to reflect on his own flaws in his autobiography.
