I do like the fact that there is sportsmanship in cycling. If you're a top GC rider and you crash, especially if you're the leader, the rest of the peloton will wait for you. They didn't have to wait for Thomas, he's not wearing the leader's jersey, but he is on the podium at this point, so they waited. Chapeau!
Mostly yes, but you also have weasels like Fabio Aru in the sport and that is enough bad sportsman for an entire peloton for a whole season or two.
@@nakenfaan So true. I remember one Tour when it was, I believe, Froome in the yellow jersey and he either wrecked or had a mechanical and Fabio attacked him straight away. What a douche. The rest of the peloton scolded him severely and he ended up sitting up and waiting.
@@shepshape2585 I have to be perfectly honest. My entire judgement of this guy is based on that single episode youre referring to.
Another great example of sportsmanship was about 30 years ago when a trackside official accidentally caused the German team pursuit team to crash in the final against the Brit team, the Brits were trailing at the time but refused to take the victory and let the Germans switch places with them on the podium.
That Van Rysel bike is winning a crapload this year. Cheapest bike one the pro circuit. You love to see it!

As an American cyclist and tifoso , I have to give you high kudos for the way in which you present the context and follow up with interesting observations with a little tongue in cheek. Here in the states, we have to suffer through what they give us on, etc. and our commentators as much as they’re great guys just do a pretty basic job. If I could hire you for our coverage of the tour etc. it would be a slam dunk. And don’t be pissed at me but you have a very likable English accent.
I just watched the US national championship and the coverage was abysmal. The commentators weren't horrible but I wouldn't miss them if good commentators replaced them.
I'm English but live in California for 30+ years so I've had to watch the network you're referring to and the ONLY good thing about the coverage from our American network is Phil Liggett. He's a LEGEND and I love hearing his voice but he's getting so old and the last 4 years he has been making so many mistakes. It's gotten really bad and it's hard to accept that he needs to retire. He's just not capable of giving the quality commentary we deserve anymore. As for the rest of the commentators, they can't even hold Rob Hatch, Dan Lloyd, Sean Kelly, Adam Blythe and Robbie McEwans j0ck strap!! Now that I've got MAX I'm able to watch Eurosports' coverage and get to see so many more races BUT when the TDF comes June 29th, we don't get to see it on MAX. We are FORCED to watch it on that network with the colourful bird (my comment gets deleted if I say the networks name here). That really angers me cos I thought for a brief moment that we might get to view it on MAX but of course we can't. The bird network wants their ratings and wants everyone to buy their streaming service to view the TDF so they aren't allowing MAX to air the TDF in order to draw everyone to the bird network. Bollox!!!

I'd like to watch the highlights later in the evening and find out who won. I could also just go to some sports news page and lookup who won, but I'd rather watch the highlights to be entertained at least a little and still have some suspense to find out who wins. But then they take it all away in the title. It takes the whole point of watching the highlights!

Deserved victory for Vendrame. Great entertainment of the escapees because the leaders for the nap (Do not include Pogačar)
If there is a time trial the next day you have to save, if there is a mountain you have to save, if it is the first week you have to save, the same with the second and for the third they no longer have energy🤷♂️Today they saved with the excuse of the super stage of mountain. Statistically, Pogačar will try to win the stage against the owner of his team, the Emirati Sheikh, and the others will see who stays rather than attacking. There have only been changes of pace, not attacks, from 2 to 10. Today was a perfect route for positions 10 to 20 to seek to climb in the general classification and try to win the stage. Impossible tomorrow the epic. I hope I'm wrong.

Looking ahead to the Td France, will there be anybody in it likely to give Pog a hard time?
Jonas is supposed to be there. His O² levels are already at 97%. He is at altitude camp doing training as we speak. From what we are hearing he WILL be there AND be on form. The team said they won't take him if he's not at least 98% of his usual form and abilities. I know that's what they said and I do believe that they mean it but there's no way to REALLY KNOW unless he's been in competition in a race to test his level of capabilities. I'm just not sure if he will be the Jonas that we've seen the past 3 TDF's

At the end Frodo lived and wins despite all odds. We saw him struggle with a ring and yes indead there where armies. And enemies but you can see here half way down the movie that he will surpass his demons and other demons. A great journey. You should have seen it, epic stuff. Here we see him win, as I said before finally a well deserved victory. For those who havent seen LOTR. Don't bother. I told everything with the Thumbnail and text. Thats it for today. Jon Snow didnt die.

I don't understand any of it. This Pogacar guy is never the first across the line so why is he leading? What race is he doing?

Actually he won 5 stages, more than any other rider. The race he is racing is "taking as little time as possible over all stages combined". So if you look up the general classification you will see the he spend 71 hours 24 minutes and 3 seconds racing at this years Giro. The second in the gc, Martinez, needed 7 minutes and 42 seconds more for all the kilometres they had to cover. I think Pogacar is actually even winning many stages for a rider who is competing for gc. It's important to know that there are different kinds of stages and depending on the design of the stage and how the standings are in the different classifications the race will unfold differently. Today for example the peloton could let the breakaway go because all the riders were so far back in terms of gc that they couldn't be a threat for the gc leaders
