I have an older fireplace insert. My remote has 4 buttons. The snowflake, flame, fan, and the rectangle power button. Please, I need to find a video that shows how to adjust the flame using these buttons. TY.

Thanks for video BJ. Very informative. Does this fireplace have a damper you need to open before you start operating?

Thank you, JM! No damper to open it’s ready to go out of the box.

Very helpful. I found this video while looking for a decent explanation about the battery pack/power off situation. Is there music playing in the background or is that my imagination? Thanks.

🤣 🤣 Yeah, I shot that video in one of the model homes for the builder that I used to work for and we would have music playing throughout the house.

Looking through the comments - I got a 6000C-IPI (now out of production) about 11 years ago. I have no blower. It runs great. It has consistently taken about 5 seconds from the time the wall switch is "ON" for the fire to ignite. I highly recommend this product if you want to heat a large room with high ceilings.

thanks, for the video. We just moved in a house with similar unit. We have no experience of using it. The manual online did not explain well for a few things. Hoping you can help.
    1) The unit did not use wood log, and it only heats air to warm the area, right? The agent told us those logs for decoration only
    2) Do you have a video for installing a blower?
    thanks

Hi Wei- Thank you, happy to hear you liked the video!
Correct, the unit just uses decorative logs and not real wood logs, and it will the heat the area very well. These units do a really good job of putting out a lot of heat to where they could even be used if you lost power to heat the room.
I don’t have a video how to install the blower motor, however you can get the whole kit with the blower motor, remote, and more embers on Amazon. And, for installing I searched “how to install a heatnglo blower motor” on UA-cam and there are a handful of really good videos that other people made to help guide you.
Hope that helps enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Does yours have a damper? I moved into a home that had this one as well but I don’t see a damper.

If I install a Blower Kit, can I plug the blower fan plug into the junction box where it is labeled "Fan" or do I need to plug the fan into a regular 110v receptacle?

    • @BJPoznecki
      @BJPoznecki  3 роки тому

Hi Bob- Both. The blower kit plugs in to the “fan” box so it works in conjunction with the fireplace unit, as well as typically there’s a 110V outlet inside that area so you can plug in optional accessories.

Great video. Why can it take up to several minutes for the fireplace to start after turning on the wall switch? If the pilot is on, the fireplace should always start right away when the wall switch is turned on, shouldn't it?

      Thank you!
No, it can take some time to bleed the gas line supplying the fireplace unit. The gas control valve has a safety feature where if it doesn’t ignite the fire it shuts down and then repeats the ignition cycle until it lights. Which could take time depending on how long it takes to bleed the gas line. This is common, however if it’s an older unit the gas control valve could wearing out and potentially need to be replaced. 🥶🔥

@@BJPoznecki Thanks. This only occurs when using my wall switch. If I use the manual override switch at the gas valve, the fire lights right way every time. Its only when the wall
switch is used that sometimes the fire doesn't light. I am thinking maybe the wall switch maybe bad...?

      My pleasure!
Interesting 🤔 yes possibly an issue with your wall switch, or (and I’m sure it varies between brands and models you’ll have to check yours out) I believe your wall switch is wired to a “remote box” that plugs in to your manual override box. There might be an issue there as well, so you’ll have to do a little process of elimination.
Let me know how it goes and if you’re having still having trouble you could always call Kelly at Majestic distribution who was our fireplace installer and service provider at (847) 741-5903. He should be able to walk you through how to fix it from that point on, and I think they deal with the public if you needed parts he can ship them out to you.

@@Burritosarebetterthantacos Hey Skip- I can only speak from my personal experience.
In the last three years working for Pulte Homes a nationwide home builder and overseeing their Warranty division here in Chicago. I didn’t have many issues and think it’s a great product!
