  • We continue our campervan trip to Jasper National Park Canada. We are amazed at the stunning views on the Icefields Parkway, seeing wildlife and stopping at the world-famous Athabasca Glacier at the Columbia Icefields along the way. We stay at the Pocahontas and Honeymoon Lake campgrounds in the National Park during our stay and also visit the town of Jasper a couple of times to enjoy the services and dining there. We also visit Miette Hot Springs for a hike and a dip in the pools, paddle our Alpacka packraft at Honeymoon Lake, update you on the mouse situation in our van, visit Athabasca Falls and drive up the scenic Cavell Road to the Mt. Edith Cavell area.

Hi. We just got back home and now getting caught up on your videos. I’m trying to talk Greg into doing the Sulphur Skyline this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion. It’s great to see Jasper in your videos, a place we visit often. PS we finally got our first mouse but just under the hood so far. See you later. Trina & Greg. 😊

Billyt thanks for the comments and glad we could fill in the views you missed! It was so spectacular that we are considering a week long trip just along the parkway itself. Several campgrounds along the way and some great hiking spots as well!

Hike'n RV if you’re going back in icefield, there is a beautiful campground called waterfowl campground 19 km from saskatchewan river crossing if you’re heading to lake louise. it’s FCFS and no shower but they have flush toilets. there are short hikes close by.

So glad you had some what decent weather, it really has been a hit and miss this year in Alberta. Always check out your videos first when I haven't been on the computer for awhile, although I don't know, maybe I should save the best for last lol. Keep up the awesome work..:)

We do own the best of both worlds between B.C. and Alberta! I love the west coast and Vancouver Island, just wish it wasn't so far to drive from Calgary, but it's great having Canmore, Banff, Waterton, Lake Louise and Jasper at our doorstep. Would love to see you guys do some of the Gulf Islands and San Juan Islands, I'm sure that will come eventually..;) oh and Haida Gwaii!. Have to see the spirit bear! oops, sorry projecting my dreams and wishes lol. Happy Travels!

Wait, at 6:07, did you reverse the video or was that truck going 50 backwards? 😱

Whoops, you were right! We zoomed out, but zooming in looked better and we didn’t notice the truck! Learning moment!

Great video!! You stayed at all my favorite campsites; especially Honeymoon Lake! There are so many campsites between Banff and Jasper that are just beautiful! Wilcox campground by the icefields gives you a breathtaking view of the glaciers! Jasper has been very cool and rainy ALL summer; all the more reason to go to Bear's Paw bakery and sit with a coffee and raspberry white chocolate scone!

Elizabeth we had Wilcox on our list but ended up at Honeymoon as it was getting later in the day. Appreciate the tip though ...so many nice places to stay along this route. We need to go back! 🚐
