Brother you look like you are about my age. I grew up with the great guitar rock of the 70's and 80's. These ladies are at the top of my list. Fn amazing band
No, Band-Maid is not just an instrumental group. Yes, they have some pretty damned good instrumentals. Check out "Onset", the official live video. Their lead vocalist and backup vocalist are OUTSTANDING. They do mix English in with their Japanese lyrics on most of their songs. They also do some beautiful rock ballads like, "Daydreaming, "About Us, "Memorable", and "Smile". The great thing about Band-Maid is that incorporate the bass heavily into their sound, including some awesome bass solos. One fairly recent song, "Hate?" , the official live video from their 10th Anniversary Tour finale in November 2023 will "rock your world".
Father Pop Punk, Welcome to Band Maid! The best hard rock band on the planet. (imo of course) They are not instrumental, they have a singer, but they have pure instrumental tracks that they play mid concert to give their lead singer a break. While Band Maid is a hard rock band primarily these days, their origins are in pop punk and it still pops up from time to time. You should try their songs Alone and Choose Me, we can go from there and see if we can't find songs that aren't right up your specific interests. It's one of the great things about Band Maid is, while I love all of their music and it's all very well written, they adventure down so many categories of rock that everybody has their own sets of favorites and the lists are WILDLY different. You're in for a fun ride.
Band-Maid started including one instrumental and one song with Miku (2nd vocal, rhythm guitar, main lyricist) as lead singer, in each album or EP since 2018. However some of those are only available as a bonus track. Since 2022, they also started including one track with lyrics written by the lead singer Saiki. Thank you for a great reaction! Have fun exploring their vast catalogue of diverse music.😊
Band Maid! ❤ 🤘🏽 For anyone into pop punk? Here are some recommendations from my 70 song Band Maid playlist: “Choose Me” “Blooming” “Play,” official live “Warning” “DICE” I’m confident that each one of these will hit you differently and be on your playlist before the end of each song
After a few years Saiki on vocals got some issues with her voice, to the degree that she in 2017(?) needed a surgery. I'm quite sure the need for some extra rest became necessary. Would guess Kanami came with a ground melody which Akane(dr) and Misa(bs), who both are amazing instrumentalists began to work around. I also understood it from Kanami, that they also were meant as a practice for Miku to develop her playing. Miku was the founder of the band and was meant to be the vocalist. But after a few gigs, one thing was apparent: her voice wasn't strong enough for rock. Her voice was too "soft". So they brought in Saiki, who belonged to the same management. You might get lost in translation since most of their lyrics is in Japanese. But also with some english words. As next I would recommend their official live for "Hate?". Then following with "Blooming" (official video)
"These guitar parts are just like vocals" Well said, this is a rocking guitar concerto, and thus the lead guitar takes the place of the voice, exactly. Subbed! Can't wait to hear you react to more from Band-Maid, curious what you'll think of the vocals. 😄
Best hard dock band on the planet. They continue to get better leaving us wondering how that is even possible ;) . BAND MAID is: Miku Kobato (小鳩 ミク) - rhythm guitar, vocals, PR (Band founder, lyricist ... our flappy pigeon, po!) Kanami Tōno (遠乃 歌波) - lead guitar (musical composer extraordinaire - the princess) Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - drums, percussion (see bananas ... and ramen - the gorilla) Misa - bass guitar (drinks hard liquor and performs without shoes on stage - the barefoot assassin) Saiki Atsumi (厚見 彩姫) - lead vocals ("we dance in the palm of her hand" - Domination - The Queen)
This piece is instrumental, but the vast majority of their works have an extra member -- their vocalist. Try "Hate?" (official Live video) to see some vocals -- and some fantastic guitar and bass work.
They still use instrumentals (coupled with Miku led songs and MC times) to create breaks for Saiki in their sets. They still want to protect her voice as much as possible.
Welcome to the Maidiacs UPP Even though Kanami🥰took the vocals in her own hands on this one they have a fantastic vocalist in Saiki. And Miku (red rose) does a lot of singing too 💜💛❤(💙)💚
You have to do Unleash official MV, Blooming official MV and Rinne official MV if you're a punk. You'll love it and the Band Maid community will love you for it.
Not a new track, but still an awesome one! Not an instrumental band either. Check out 'Hate?' official live, next! Obviously you're into pop punk, but what about hardcore punk? If interested, check out Otoboke Beaver 'Don't Light My Fire' The name and title alone screams punk!
No BAND-MAID is not an instrumental band , they have a Fantastic lead vocalist by the name of Saiki , this is not a new track , its on the Unleashed album from 2022 .
No, they have a few instrumental songs and versions, but they're not just an instrumental band.. But there are much newer tracks, like their colab with The Warning, 'Show Them'.
I thought it was called hard rock. Pop and punk are mutually exclusive. Pop was like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin and Punk was the Sex Pistols or Ramones.
This is a very confusing reaction.. have you or haven't you ever heard Band-Maid before? How could you not remember if it's an instrumental band or not? God!!!😕🤨
@@COTTERO I can’t remember because as Unsigned Pop Punk we have worked with over 3 thousand bands and that’s not including things I’ve listened to on my own time. So yes. I did not remember 😂 Since the making of this I have since listened to more of their music 😁
Hey now, lets be polite. He enjoyed the music, not everyone knows all the details like we do. Based on the reaction, I think there is a good chance he'll discover plenty soon enough.
Seriously, watch the official video on Band-Maid's channel if you want to hear the song. A "reaction video" that just plays the video straight through is just stealing views from the original video
Best rock band on the planet. Another great instrumental is WITHOUT HOLDING BACK. Saiki is the lead singer and Miku sings most of the backup vocals. Watch them live, they're an incredible live band.

"Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, You, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on.
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! (from their own Anime MV (series?)): ua-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/v-deo.html)
And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 32 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 32 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 31 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

My friend you have tumbled onto the best thing to happen to rock since, well, since rocks were formed, enjoy your journey it's a glorious ride 👍🍻
Thank you! :)
Brother you look like you are about my age. I grew up with the great guitar rock of the 70's and 80's. These ladies are at the top of my list. Fn amazing band
They have over 120 songs and this is one of their four instrumental songs
The lead singer, Saiki, has a fantastic voice
Father Pop Punk, Welcome to Band Maid! The best hard rock band on the planet. (imo of course)
They are not instrumental, they have a singer, but they have pure instrumental tracks that they play mid concert to give their lead singer a break.
They have four original instrumentals that they have performed live, but most of their 150+ songs have vocals. All of their catalogue is great.
Greatest touring band in the world
Band-Maid started including one instrumental and one song with Miku (2nd vocal, rhythm guitar, main lyricist) as lead singer, in each album or EP since 2018. However some of those are only available as a bonus track.
Since 2022, they also started including one track with lyrics written by the lead singer Saiki.
Thank you for a great reaction! Have fun exploring their vast catalogue of diverse music.😊
Band Maid! ❤ 🤘🏽
For anyone into pop punk? Here are some recommendations from my 70 song Band Maid playlist:
“Choose Me”
“Blooming”
“Play,” official live
“Warning”
“DICE”
I’m confident that each one of these will hit you differently and be on your playlist before the end of each song
Alone, Yolo, Ooparts, One and Only.
Ridiculous that Alone is not on this list.
Thank you so much! I think the vocals are great! I really like the band :) I’ve checked out a lot more since making the video
Best hard dock band on the planet. They continue to get better leaving us wondering how that is even possible ;) .
BAND MAID is:
Miku Kobato (小鳩 ミク) - rhythm guitar, vocals, PR (Band founder, lyricist ... our flappy pigeon, po!)
Kanami Tōno (遠乃 歌波) - lead guitar (musical composer extraordinaire - the princess)
Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - drums, percussion (see bananas ... and ramen - the gorilla)
Misa - bass guitar (drinks hard liquor and performs without shoes on stage - the barefoot assassin)
Saiki Atsumi (厚見 彩姫) - lead vocals ("we dance in the palm of her hand" - Domination - The Queen)
This piece is instrumental, but the vast majority of their works have an extra member -- their vocalist. Try "Hate?" (official Live video) to see some vocals -- and some fantastic guitar and bass work.
They are not an instrumental band. They have several instrumentals that they use to give their lead singer a break during live shows.
At first, it was probably one of the reasons for instrumentals, but not anymore - they just LOVE to play instrumentals beside songs.
They still use instrumentals (coupled with Miku led songs and MC times) to create breaks for Saiki in their sets. They still want to protect her voice as much as possible.

Even though Kanami🥰took the vocals in her own hands on this one they have a fantastic vocalist in Saiki. And Miku (red rose) does a lot of singing too
💜💛❤(💙)💚
The greatest band on the planet. They do have a lead singer (Saiki Atsumi- The Queen of Swag) and Miku Kobato the rhythm guitarist back up vocals.
Band maid...YOU (live)...thanks
Band maid has 2 singers po!
Heck yeah!
11 years and around 140 songs. Band-Maid is a punk rock band that knows no boundaries ! BTW they have a great lead singer.
😏♥️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
Their earlier work has a lot of Punk adjacent songs, but I wouldn't categorize them as Punk.
@roygillotti4615 Yeah, OK, Not. Even in their new music, you hear punk influences.
Great song, but it's not a new track. It's from 2022, from their "Unleash" EP. They have released several songs and videos since this one came out.
More Band-Maid!
You have to do Unleash official MV, Blooming official MV and Rinne official MV if you're a punk. You'll love it and the Band Maid community will love you for it.
You are in front of the best rock band ( by far) nowadays... and a living legend.
Not a new track, but still an awesome one!
Not an instrumental band either. Check out 'Hate?' official live, next!
Obviously you're into pop punk, but what about hardcore punk?
If interested, check out Otoboke Beaver 'Don't Light My Fire'
The name and title alone screams punk!
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
Band maid is a top live Band nice reaction greeting from germany
Next reaction look at the live version of "HATE?", with one of the "duels" between MISA (bass) and Kanami (guitar)
they have 2 singers
Love Band Maid
No BAND-MAID is not an instrumental band , they have a Fantastic lead vocalist by the name of Saiki , this is not a new track , its on the Unleashed album from 2022 .
No, they have a few instrumental songs and versions, but they're not just an instrumental band.. But there are much newer tracks, like their colab with The Warning, 'Show Them'.
I love Band-Maid ❤️
You ain't seen nothing yet!
Nice reaction. Try the song "Hate?" live 🤘
Yap Done LIKED & SUBBED👌🙏🍺🥴(👸🏻💙)
Thank you!!!
I thought it was called hard rock. Pop and punk are mutually exclusive. Pop was like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin and Punk was the Sex Pistols or Ramones.
just be honest homie

Can’t take it. You talked over one of Akane’s best fills and Kanami’s chromatic descent….Yes, this is an instrumental but please don’t talk so much.

So yes. I did not remember 😂
Since the making of this I have since listened to more of their music 😁
Hey now, lets be polite. He enjoyed the music, not everyone knows all the details like we do. Based on the reaction, I think there is a good chance he'll discover plenty soon enough.

Band Maid sound so much better if you don't talk over them.

Seriously, watch the official video on Band-Maid's channel if you want to hear the song. A "reaction video" that just plays the video straight through is just stealing views from the original video
