I live next door to 'Downton Abbey' (aka Highclere Castle!) - my 400 year old house was originally one of the Estate cottages. Husband's family also owned one of the UK's 'stately homes' (now National Trust) - so I know just how much VERY hard work you must have ploughed into Chateau LaLande to make it look - and keep it looking - as beautiful as it is now. Thank you for being prepared to share its beauty with us all. Your videos are intelligent and informative; you present them with considerable charm and total sincerity. I'm delighted to have found your channel - consider me one more of your happy recruits to your vlog series :-) xx
My aunt and I visited Highclere Castle last summer. It’s a beautiful stately mansion and the grounds are incredible. I would love to see a photo of Autumn Cottage. 😊 In the meantime I hope to one day visit Chateau Lalande. 😊
French student, 23, living in a tiny flat in Paris and dreaming of bigger things. As soon as I get my law degree and start working (not a student job i mean, like I do right now). I plan on saving up and buying myself a manoir, maybe not a château, but a huge manoir for sure. 😊 I looove watching your videos.you're so inspiring, and it's good to learn from your experience
Hi Stephanie, you'll probably never see this, but I've watched almost all of your videos now. It's obvious you are the energizer bunny around which all of this happens, without you the Chateau would have never become what it is. I would love to come volunteer in your garden. My mother is a16th and 17th century kitchen garden expert who rebuilt the gardens at Plimoth Plantation here in Massachusetts. We are herbalists and lifelong gardeners. Sadly I'm too arthritic now to take it all on, and my mom is older than yours at 86.....precious women we are so fortunate to have..... Anyways, you have got me through this lockdown mess, I can live vicariously through you and dream of living in France. My ancestors home is Beauvais, someday I'd like to see it before my time is over. Famous for tapestries I hear!
I am so glad you did this video for me to stumble upon. It answers so many questions I've had since I have subscribed to your videos only a few months ago - and it's so many years of hard work later now. What a monumental task you set for yourself and how amazingly you have managed to do everything that you've accomplished!
I found Doing It Ourselves, randomly, and was immediately captivated. He recommended your channel. I non stop watched both of your videos, they were so inspirational. I have lived in a 1913 Queen Anne for 44 years. I was 24 when we moved in. Divorced with two kids shortly after we bought it, the house came last for years, as I put tuitions and car repairs first. Both my children have children of their own now. Beautiful and Handsome grandchildren, and a brilliant gorgeous daughter in law, and an extremely brilliant, very handsome and loving son in law make me feel very Blessed. Your beauty shines through all you do! These channels make my small cottage look like a piece of cake. Thank you for sharing. I hope Percy is well, really think your mother is quite a dynamo, love Gerald, Michael, and The Elusive Nick, as well as, Marie. What an incredible cook, and baker! So many others too! Hoping this inspiration turns my house into a Blessed Cottage, as beautiful as the chapel. So glad you appreciate so much in people, and life!
All of those absolutely gorgeous, elegant mansions being demolished just makes me cry. To think of all the painstaking hours spent on details that will never be replaced is tragic. The quality of workmanship.... art if you will... is now being lost in history. 😢
Watching this is 2021 and a thought just came to mind that Steph, you haven’t changed a bit (not only in age but also in personality) you are such a beautiful soul and not even internet fame could shift how genuine and caring you are :)
Thank you for the fascinating and knowledgeable insight into the realities of running a large house today. I lived in a manor house in Scotland, as well as a castle there for a time, and neither had the means to restore it to even a shadow of their former glories. When I went back to the manor house to visit several years later, it had been abandoned and vandalized, and it broke my heart - it was like finding a good friend beaten up in the gutter... fortunately, a charity bought the house and has begun renovating it, using it for a home for abused women and pregnant teens. We were able to visit, and it was lovely to see it being restored.
I LOVE. Brideshead Revisited. I saw it when it first came on in the 1980’s. I was 18 years old and it changed my life. In 2009 I went to castle Howard and it was a sacred moment to see that house and chapel. I tell people that brideshead was the biggest influence on my life--. I look back on the book and series and see what a foreshadowing it was as I know live in an old home and I’ve spent my life questioning reality just as Charles and Julia did. I live in an old plantation home in the US and it is just a smaller version of the chateau. Once a friend asked me where the servants live. I replied . “They live in the master bedroom”.
Oh my god this has to be the very , very best Vlog you have ever ever done, even better than Venice and that says something, history, knowledge and education all in one ! Channel 4 should get you to do documentaries as you are the Best , I will watch this again and reflect. The Bowes Lyons were horrified when Streatlam Castle in County Durham was blown up as a Military Exercise and that was one of the Queen Mother’s family homes, but first it was stripped of anything of value and sold off ! The old Queen Mother never forgot nor forgave the family that allowed the destruction.
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. I enjoy talking about things that I’m passionate about! How awful about Streatlam Castle. It’s the craftsmen who put their heart and soul into the creation of these masterpieces that I feel most sorry for.
Your channel offers such elevated content. 🐓Fun shenanigans with thoughtful insight. I agree, gathering for meals and making them foundational to each day is a time honored tradition. Something near and dear to my own heart. ❤️I love seeing your collections of tableware, glassware and linen collection and how you vary it up and mix and match! Thanks for all the inspiration Stephanie!🦚
Yes, I too 💛 the brilliant sense of community, connectedness & camaraderie evident between Stephanie & all who enter those grand gates. It's been a joy to learn about their many traditions as well as witness the extensive lengths they'll go to celebrate life. Stephanie shows such excitement & artistry designing her tablescapes🍽. I would happily immerse myself in her cupboards full of fine dishware too.🥂
Fantastic Vlog Stephanie! I have an idea and maybe someone has already suggested you make a "coffee table" book. It would be full of beautiful photos of the Chateau and all the shenanigans. Also, tutorials on your projects ie, drapery, wallpapers, cooking techniques as well as all the other DIY's you have been doing at La Lande. I'll bet it would sell and bring much needed money to the chateau. I wish you all the best! 💖
YES YES YES! Also a cookbook of meals served at Lalande....both current from your personal repertoire & from workaways along with anecdotes of dishes that might have been served from past eras. I'd buy both books in a heartbeat!
im always impressed by the cultural and historical knowledge that basically tumbles out of you. are you an information sponge or do you do lots of research ahead of adventures/vlogs.. or both? you'd be a delight in an art and craft history class.
I have a lot of information about chateaux, history and interiors because I love them so much, but I definitely do more research when I'm going into a subject in depth. I always mean to look up a couple of interesting facts and then look up from my laptop/books hours later, realising that I've been lost in research for ages! But it's because I enjoy it 🙂
Good morning from Indiana❣️ Sat in my living room with my coffee and biscuits and enjoyed my visit with you. Thank you for all the information , I have watched every one of your “shows” and feel such a connection with you. My sister and I have always wondered who all the people there are, now we know❣️ Have a good week and thank you❤️ Now I will message my sister in California and tell her I saw you first, we are 3 hrs. Ahead of them👍
Wow, how lovely that you're joining us at Lalande all the way from Indiana and California! When I think that for centuries this chateau was hidden away from the rest of the world like a sleeping beauty, it makes me very happy that it's finally being seen now 💛
Hello from California ! So enjoy Tea time with you and my twin sister in a Indiana . Chateau Diaries has opened up our world . We now live , laugh, love along with you in the countryside of France ✨. Thank you
I thank God for the founders of The National Trust, Octavia Hill, Sir Robert Hunter, and Hardwicke Rawnsley. Spent many weekends enjoying our National Trust properties, with a little imagination I have ventured into the past of many stately homes. Once again a superb informative vlog. Thxx
Yes , the National Trust is a fantastic idea and the French don't have anything like it: that's why Stephanie could buy her chateau and there are still thousands in ruin, for sale.
Stephanie...you're pretty, intelligent and, witty. The real package to be the Lady of the house. I enjoy watching you and, everyone else each day. It's one of my joys after working 5 hours a day as a caregiver to an elderly woman. Thankyou!
I just wanted to drop a line to say how very much I appreciate what you are doing. I’ve taken advantage of our shut down here in the States to watch your series all the way through. Apparently unlike many, I came to your blog via Michael’s “Doing it Ourselves” which of course is also brilliant. In particular, I especially appreciate your deep dives into the histories of the chateau and the places you’ve visited. I’m a history buff and a fan of all things creative so your blend of those elements in each episode is luxuriantly engaging. All the best to you and your “Chosen Family.”
A pleasure to listen to you speak with such passion and intelligence about stately homes - you have such a unique perspective. I am so happy to be reminded about Brideshead Revisited - a perfect afternoon movie. Thank you! I am really enjoying these chatty videos, you have a wonderful, natural, watchable quality. :)
What a great way to start my Sunday! I love all your vlogs and I live vicariously through you. I dream of living in a stately house with land and I can't get enough of your beautiful chateau. So glad you added another video to the week!
Firstly, you look beautiful on this lovely Sunday Stephanie 👌💛 . Thank you for such an interesting video. Was hanging on every word while sipping my tea. Love all the photos you shared. Day made 🏰👑🖼💛💋. Enjoy your Sunday 🌸 See soon. Beautiful blessings Mandy 👑 SA
I would love to volunteer in your Chateau one day. I can do pretty much DIY too. Garden is my speciality . I can help growing the vegetables and the flowers.
Thanks! I first saw the book 'England's Lost Houses' when one of my best friends bought it about 15 years ago, and I still remember the state of shock that it sent us both into!
@@TheChateauDiariesHi Stephanie if you love exploring the history of real people of England I wonder if you have read "Westward Ho" by Charles Kingsley? It is a wonderful account of medieval life on land and sea against a back drop of the Inquisition and reformation. For the first time it made me understand how important religion was to the people of that time period. I recommend it to you with my best wishes and sadly I have to disagree...... not Brideshead..... but being a Northerner it has to be Pride and Prejudice because they visit Derbyshire, Lyme Park just in Cheshire and Castleton. It is a great "fix" of home when I am missing those hills!
Hello from Brisbane, Queensland Australia!!! I am so in awe of your journey and wish I could do the same! Chateau La Mung & Escape to the Chateau started my interest and then finding your fabulous videos on You Tube has kept me eagerly connected to your wonderful life story. Well done Stephanie!!! You are a joy to watch and all that you share. xx
Absolutely fascinating, informative and entertaining Stephanie. I too lament the loss of so many stately homes, especially as they were so individualistic and wonderfully quirky.
Great Sunday vlog Stephanie - very interesting with so much history. Has prompted me to get out my old CD's (about 12 I think) to watch Brideshead Revisited again - the original one from 1981 with Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews - an absolutely brilliant production! Enjoy a happy Sunday! It's a nuisance having to make your own cup of tea isn't it? I so relate . . . !!
Wish I had found your channel when you first started but now that I have time, I am going back and watching the past Vlogs. Gave up risk taking years ago but did take early retirement to live one dream. I get to create art on a daily basis 😃. Do wish I had your space to create and share my art in with others, but I will enjoy you providing opportunities for others in their creative endeavors while helping you live out your dreams. Rock on! Love ❤️ from Iowa, USA.
Great vlog Stephanie! I spent a lot of my childhood at Castle Howard and lived near Wentworth Woodhouse! Brideshead and Downton are my favourite films! Love to you all at La Lande. Judi
this episode was made when there were 3k subscribers... 11 months later almost 84k subscribers to this channel. Is it possible to be that happy for a stranger's success? Well done, lalanders!
Hi Stephanie. I have just been to the cinema to watch the Downton Abbey Movie and you will love it when you finally get a chance to see it. It is light and fluffy and Maggie Smith is her usual wonderful and contrary self. I loooove the dress you are wearing in this video and so I thought that perhaps you could include a wardrobe tour at some stage and tell us some of the labels of the dresses you wear? Looking forward to next week!
I'm pretty late watching this. Breaks my heart. What also breaks my heart is watching other vlogs where some guys take you through abandonded chateaus/castles all over Europe that are just sitting distintigrating and some are full of beautiful furnishings that are also disintigrating. I wish the antiques could at least be somehow saved..
I first saw your Chateau journey on Chateau DIY and I loved both your home and your love of history and beauty. I had no idea English Country homes were both destroyed and went into decline after WW2. I would love the chance to volunteer at you chateau as I am also a bit of a DIY buff myself after renovating my own home in Canada.
Stephanie, I enjoy every minute I spend listening to all your ventures in this magnificent chateau ❣️ You are a "sunny delight" to watch☀️🦚🏰... cindy 💝
Another fabulous Vlog, thank you so much for the historical information about English stately homes was the French experience similar or was it very different because of the revolution? The wallpaper in that room was amazing as was your dress, would love to see a wide angle shot of both.
Oh my goodness, Brideshead ..I absolutely love it.. first watched the tv series and so had to get the book .. I remember the moment of summer and champagne and strawberries.. so convinced friends..And off we went. Picnic basket..old grammaphone..etc. found a lovely spot. Champagne strawberries and 1920's music.. scratching away.. And a beautiful summer day... the book is exquisite..tragic.. And totally gorgeous..x.
thankyou Stef, lovely video.. very sad.. But I love that so much restoration is happening and people are saving them and refurbishing them sensitively .. love the history you share.. xo
I love castles and always have. In my area, we have a few lovely mansions that need repairing and some people have bought them up rather cheaply ( You can in my area) and then you need to refurbish but that part (takes money and so much work and as we know many man/woman power). A lovely stone castle is being done over now in my area, a grand Stone home. it was a Restaurant last, and the people fled in the night as they went bankrupt. ( sad really) And we have Beardsleys Castle done over as a fantastic restaurant and many weddings take place there. It even has a dungeon! But you can see an area of it but much of it is now a bar and part of the restaurant, but the truly lovely part I certainly feel is the rest of the home. But many people certainly frequent that area of the dungeon, and drinks are served or brought to your table of course for meals. Near Little Falls NY. In Cooperstown, NY (Baseball Hall of Fame) we have a home that was owned by a sister to Fenimore Cooper ( author) who married a very rich son of a businessman who had business even in Jamaica. They lived very aristocratically. 'It is also a fifty room castle'. "Friends' of this castle do help pay for it to be done over so it is just like it would have been when the family lived in it. Many rooms are finished but not all. ( They have ghosts too!) What a history in this home!! It overlooks the lovely State Park and LAKE and sits High on the HILL ( now owned by the State of NY) and people come for tours all Summer and fancy dinners and Teas' as well as various other special events, as concerts etc. We do go and enjoy it all we can. It has a little church in the Castle! So many of our lovely castles in NY are owned by the State, so we can only visit them now. But still, I am happy to always have this ability. Even homes of Presidents have been done over for that purpose. But to own one is big responsibility and yet such a fun dream come true am sure! You are meeting so many lasting friends! To live in a home-like you do in this very special way is wonderful as now you are even teaching other people how, and yet seeing the truth of it, and how it is not for everyone and not all can make it happen! Your honesty is so important to all. So witty you all are to figure out HOW to go about it all. Not easy but working! I totally think you are doing a grand deed bringing this home to again seeing joy and life ( maybe much more than normal) and allowing so many to enjoy it all with you. It may well be the NEW way to become aristocratic!? Love your history behind all the series and just realize 'I am not seeing these in any order' just jumping around, and my husband is hearing all about it! He listens with intent, so he seems. You know we have done homes over in our "hay day" and we know how much work can go into it and yet how much pleasure you get when they are completed in any way they are. With a castle it is ongoing. But you are leaving such a legacy!
Just found your Vlog. Love it. Its good to see people who have the time and money investing and restoring homes like these. The elite here in USA spend there 💰 on the oddest things like overpriced handbags.
If ever you have the opportunity to come “up north of England” you are more than welcome to stay with us and we will take you to see Wentworth Woodhouse in person. 😊
Yes it's another heyday for Chateau de LaLande! I think the architectural style and layout of the English houses makes them look larger than the chateau other than the giant Versailles, Fontainebleau, and Chambord--and perhaps others. A 13 course dinner--maybe count coffee and chocolates as a course in addition to the dessert course. I have faith in you! How many courses has the largest dinner that you've had at Lalande have? Which Loire chateau is the one with a room that has blue and white porcelain attached to the ceiling and walls? I thought it was Cheverny but I don't see the photo online. I had a friend who loved porcelain and I got her the postcard although I did not visit that chateau.
So interesting thank you! I had no idea that the old 60s office block I worked at (Kuoni travel ) was once the site of the stately home Deepdene, Dorking, Surrey. Such a shame they destroyed so many of these beautiful homes. At least some have been saved and more people of all classes can enjoy them. I see fairly recently the gardens of Deepdene have been recreated with help from lottery funding.
Loved this - I also got that edition of Brideshead and I absolutely love that book and the TV series which I've seen five times and it's always a treat to watch.
This is wonderful, Madam. I have only just discovered your videos. Will now be working my way through. Do you not have any servants at all? A house like that needs to be fully staffed!
Hello Stephanie... Re the tea cup- ....StephaNie...(in Isabel's usual tone) Hehe cute....🧚🌹🌻 Good history there Stephanie... Especially the social stratification history pre and post Victorian, during war and post war ..right to the v&a ... Since the natural trust of historic place of interest were established... It helps a lot of stately home. With the owner able to get relief on the upkeep on the requirements among others they open the land and house to public certain days of the years. That helps generates income for the upkeep. With that a lot of the third or fourth generations of the stately home are able to inherit and maintain it as it is. .. though some didn't.
@@TheChateauDiaries join national trust. With that you can enter any stately home that are registered under it.once a member. www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ Btw good to see your mom again...as you said Xmas comes early...
Thank you Stephanie! Love to watch your adventures at Lalande on ETTCDIY and so thankful to get my Château fix through your very entertaining vlogs. We don't have many stately homes here in Canada but there are a few, in terms of romantic stories and stately homes you should check out www.boldtcastle.com it's a very sad story and the castle was abandoned mid-construction before ever being lived in. Love visiting National Trust estates when we go to England, and hope I can visit Lalande and other Chateaux from the series when I visit France:) Thank you for taking the time to share your love for your home with all of us. Love from Canada, Caroline
Just love listening & watching you Stephanie...you are so informative. You have reminded me about Brideshead Revisited..a much watch again series. Look forward to next Sunday...Have been meaning to ask...where's Michael?
I love what you are doing. Iy am restoring a Victorian home. I am a China painter and have had workshops at my home when I lived in Hawaii. Since you have friends that are so artistic have you thought of having artistic workshops as a source of income. Jewelry making, drawing, China painting, costume making, etc.
I remember seeing one english estate owner on tv or video being interviewed. I was so impressed with the fact that the land was turned into a zoo with Giraffs and the like... Just an idea, Stephanie. Or maybe just small animals like you have. lol
Timestamp 10:47 the only thing I can say is whoa I literally had to stop the video & Google Waterhouse's Eaton Hall that building was magnificent Oh and thanks put putting all that information in the description below
Enjoy every video. Got to see bootleg Escape to the Chateau DIY on line and whish I could buy each episode. Do you have the floor plans of Lelande on line? Its educational to see how rooms flow. If no plans are on line now maybe add when you show the renovations? Thank from USA

Thanks!!! 💖
Oh, the destruction of those beautiful stately homes makes me want to cry😰😭
What a great way to start my Sunday! I love all your vlogs and I live vicariously through you. I dream of living in a stately house with land and I can't get enough of your beautiful chateau. So glad you added another video to the week!
I know what that’s like as I dreamt about it for years, too! So happy you’re joining our adventure in this way 😊
Firstly, you look beautiful on this lovely Sunday Stephanie 👌💛 . Thank you for such an interesting video. Was hanging on every word while sipping my tea. Love all the photos you shared. Day made 🏰👑🖼💛💋. Enjoy your Sunday 🌸 See soon. Beautiful blessings Mandy 👑 SA
I’m so happy you enjoyed it, thank you! Happy Sunday! 💛
Stephanie you are a ideal replacement for Poldark on a Sunday.
Just lovely.
I can’t hope to replace Aiden Turner’s abs 😂
@@TheChateauDiaries haha🤣
I would love to volunteer in your Chateau one day. I can do pretty much DIY too. Garden is my speciality . I can help growing the vegetables and the flowers.
so nice to hear you talk about 3000 subscribers, you have now over 64000 and still going strong. Love your vlogs, thank you sharing!
BRIDESHEAD REVISITED my absolute favorite.
Morning Stephanie, yet another informative vlog, really enjoyed it. A wonderful way to live indeed. Have a great day and enjoy Brideshead.
Thank you! Have a great Sunday 😊
You are changing the whole perception towards and way of life of these wonderful country houses. You have a big influence on your era.
I think this is why I’m so enamored by your lifestyle. I want to live in a big house surrounded by my closest friends and family. ❤️
indeed, Sharon. Indeed. 🌼🙏
I am thinking to move in with Stephanie. She already has the big house, I am friendly, I can dance, I can help around the house, perfect match. :P
I just adore the history lessons you give in your videos. Makes my heart happy.
You speak with great knowledge, eloquence and passion about this fascinating part of our history . Bravo!
I'm in awe of the ease with which you communicate the chateau story! So many answers to questions raised while watching the shorter Vlogs :)
I so relate . . . !!
That’s the version I’m currently watching, too! I love it!
That was the very best version - later ones only a pale imitation. I think I will quite wear out the 'Venice' episode :-)
Brideshead Revisited, book and series, absolutely wonderful!
Judi
Thank you for these videos! A lovely look into chateau life. It is a far cry from my little life in Canada, but it touches my soul. Merci beaucoup 💕
Enjoyed. In my youth I restored 3 beautiful estates. Hard work.
this episode was made when there were 3k subscribers...
Hope one day I can visit your beautiful Chateau. Always love watching your videos.
Sundays too, thank you! I wonder if you can convince your ghost to clean while you sleep.
I’m working on it!
Well spoken, you bring such life to history. Could listen forever.
Thank you for this wonderful vlog. Thank you
Wentworth Woodhouse is SO beautiful I have only visited twice, and the last time only walked in the gardens!
I believe this is the best video I have ever watched.
Wonderful as usual Stephanie...you are a fount of information..................Donna in Toronto
thankyou Stef, lovely video.. very sad.. But I love that so much restoration is happening and people are saving them and refurbishing them sensitively .. love the history you share.. xo
❤ Your 15yr thinking, and you and your partners forward thinking, has keep the Chateau "alive." I hope to be able to be a part of it soon.
Fantastic video! Thank you for sharing 👍🏼🙂🌺
Thanks for sharing again
I love castles and always have. In my area, we have a few lovely mansions that need repairing and some people have bought them up rather cheaply ( You can in my area) and then you need to refurbish but that part (takes money and so much work and as we know many man/woman power).
A lovely stone castle is being done over now in my area, a grand Stone home. it was a Restaurant last, and the people fled in the night as they went bankrupt. ( sad really)
And we have Beardsleys Castle done over as a fantastic restaurant and many weddings take place there.
I love the information you give. Very informative indeed, I was at Castle Howard a few weeks back. Had a day there. Beautiful stately home.
I absolutely love Castle Howard!
Yet another brilliant broadcast. God bless...
Very interesting and somewhat sad. I live in the U.S. and love old homes, none as large and wonderful as your chateau. TFS
Thank you yet another informative yet entertaining vlog
Another lovely vlog Stephanie Xxxx
LOL as soon as I saw that pattern o was like "ooooooooooohhhhh Stephanie, your mum is going to have your head!"
I always feel peaceful everytime I've watched your vlogs! ❤
In my youth I played netball at Lady Mable Collage aka Wentworth Woodhouse. It is a wonderful place to visit xx
If ever you have the opportunity to come “up north of England” you are more than welcome to stay with us and we will take you to see Wentworth Woodhouse in person. 😊
Excellent! Loved Brideshead too, both the book & 70s/80s series.
They’re glorious - and I love the Venetian section, too!
@@TheChateauDiaries I can imagine :-)
Best vlog ever!
💛💛💛
Brideshead, just wonderful read, which it's time to do again!
You are a wealth of information. Thanks for sharing!
Loved this - I also got that edition of Brideshead and I absolutely love that book and the TV series which I've seen five times and it's always a treat to watch.
I love learning about the history! Thank you.
This is wonderful, Madam. I have only just discovered your videos. Will now be working my way through. Do you not have any servants at all? A house like that needs to be fully staffed!
I so love it when you talk about history!❤️
Now you have 3 million watchers.
So interesting Stephanie. Thank you
Hello Stephanie...
Re the tea cup-
....StephaNie...(in Isabel's usual tone)
Hehe cute....🧚🌹🌻
Good history there Stephanie...
Yes, thankfully things are much better now ❤️🏰❤️

Btw good to see your mom again...as you said Xmas comes early...
Keep the videos coming!!! Hello from USA - Missouri!!! ...
Important history, that many of us in the States don't know.
Just love listening & watching you Stephanie...you are so informative. You have reminded me about Brideshead Revisited..a much watch again series. Look forward to next Sunday...Have been meaning to ask...where's Michael?
Thank you Stephanie, as always I have learned so much!
I love what you are doing. Iy am restoring a Victorian home. I am a China painter and have had workshops at my home when I lived in Hawaii. Since you have friends that are so artistic have you thought of having artistic workshops as a source of income. Jewelry making, drawing, China painting, costume making, etc.
love this vid- thanks for sharing
I remember seeing one english estate owner on tv or video being interviewed. I was so impressed with the fact that the land was turned into a zoo with Giraffs and the like... Just an idea, Stephanie. Or maybe just small animals like you have. lol
Timestamp 10:47 the only thing I can say is whoa I literally had to stop the video & Google Waterhouse's Eaton Hall that building was magnificent
Oh and thanks put putting all that information in the description below
I live 10 min away from wentworth woodhouse and chapsworth house we go often in the summer .💖😊💖xx
Absolutely wonderful video.....im 3 uears late in the game on this one ....
Enjoy every video. Got to see bootleg Escape to the Chateau DIY on line and whish I could buy each episode. Do you have the floor plans of Lelande on line? Its educational to see how rooms flow. If no plans are on line now maybe add when you show the renovations? Thank from USA
