The Champion Operator is a beast! It has fed everything I have shot in it over the years. I have the same one only I modified to fit my wants and needs. Single side safety (I prefer for carry), 10-8 rear sight with HD Orange front, 10-8 slide stop and a few other extras. Congrats! Enjoy it and practice with it.
I have a Springfield Armory Range Officer Target chambered in .45 ACP. I've ran around 650 rounds through it. It's a full size 1911. I will say, the quality, type, and brand of your ammo does make a difference. I've had mine stovepipe (at the range), I've had it jam and refuse to action the slide, and I've also had a round where the primer was struck but no bang. Bear in mind, all of these failures were from ammunition I bought in bulk from the gun show, which was "certified reloads". Once I got rid of that garbage, and started running either Federal (my preferred brand) or Winchester (tends to have a bigger muzzle flash), or American Eagle, it ran fantastic. Welcome to the 1911 carry family, you'll love it.
Hi Jenny! I’m new to your channel (February’24) and I like the content! I went back to watch this review. Anyone who loves 1911s in .45 caliber is OK in my book! I have two 45’s presently: a Springfield Armory XDS-45 for carry and a Colt Gold Cup. Love the Gold Cup, but too big to carry here in Florida. Most of the time I am just wearing a T-shirt. Why do I carry a 45? Because they don’t make a 46! 😂 All the best to you and your channel Al C. 😄👍
Good video. Thank you for sharing. I have a 2014 Champion Operator with about 800 rounds through it. The alloy frame makes it lighter but not too light. Love the “LW” in the serial number. And I do EDC it.
This is one of my favorite handguns. Mine has several hundred rounds through it over the years. Zero malfunctions that I can recall. I did change out the main spring housing to an Ed Brown arched housing with mag well. I also changed out the sights. The previous owner replaced the recoil spring with an updated version, making it easier to takedown. Ive got a video showing takedown with both recoil spring types if anyone is interested.
Never fired one of those. Looks really nice. Very nice pick on the grips Jenny!! I like those also. Night sights are a good touch!! Enjoy!! Merry Christmas everyone!!
🇦🇺😎👍 🎄Wonderbar ! !🎄 ….JJ my Kimber is 5 lb pull standard…. JJ kicked another goal🥅 ⚽🎄…..JJ Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family..Happy 2023🥂🍾🎉🪅🎊🍻
Though not a fan of this company I do like some of their products. I’d be more apt to buy something from them on the used market. Huge 1911 fan have several and they are my bedside choice. And that giveaway is awesome. Have a merry Christmas and a great New Year.
Question!! I bought one of these a year ago and I love it! It is a tac driver! But what is a good concealed holster for this gun and regular holster!? because of the rail and commander size holsters seem sparce, also I will be running a streamlight trl-2 laser light and can't seem to find a holster to fit! If you or anyone has input PLEASE let me know!! thank you!
May I humbly suggest you spotlight the Dillon Precision equipment. There may be a segment that's behind the curve on Blue Press equipment. I'm a 1911 person since US Army basic training, back in the day.

I never tire of watching how sincerely enthusiastic you are about 1911’s and shooting in general. Please keep on keeping on. :)
1911. Love them !
Can’t go wrong with anything 1911. Love my Remington R1 Commander. She might be plain but she sure is purrty!!!!!
Never overlook the plain ones!! 😁
That’s a sharp 1911!! Great review and I look forward to seeing more. 👍
Just found one, I pick it up tomorrow…. Way to excited.

I love springfield 1911s. that rail looks so cool and space age. 4" is the perfect length.

The Springfield emissionary is the best looking 1911 iv ever saw for a production piece,, although Iv never saw a bad looking Springfield

My bedside gun is a 1911, quite a bit older than the one you have.

Still need to find a Star Bm and shoot one. You will love it.
I’ve owned this gun for 5+ years. I really want to carry it, but everyone I talk to says it’s too big. Good I for in the video
Jenny, Does Springfield still make this model? This is the first time I've heard of one.
They stopped making them in 2017 I think. Maybe 2018.
