I found a whopping 2 GB of RAM and a state of the art Intel Celeron CPU, also found a Hard Drive,a fan, and a CPU cooler, all in decent condition, all of this was inside of an old Windows Inspiron 530S
@@UncleMikeRetro I'd say I could sell them all for 40?, some of the parts are functional, some are not, the PC itself has no damage, just inside of someone's office for years,
I was in contact with a man that wanted to throw away his old PC and parts. I ended up grabbing for free pretty much the same as you, a complete working system with Slot 1 Pentium II 350mhz and there was also a box, I opened it and there was a Creative Voodoo Banshee PCI in there. Not the original box, but still nice to find in a pile of what this man considered "junk" :)
Woah that first motherboard you showed looks EXACTLY like my Pentium 3 Gateway. It doesn’t have a built-in sound card though. I run MS-DOS 6.22/Windows 3.11, Windows 95 C and a Windows 98 SE setup on this computer.
Look at the deal I got! So, what CPUs have you tried in the Gateway motherboard so far? I have several PIIs and PIIIs and Celerons and a slotket adapter.
@@UncleMikeRetro the only one i could use is the slot 1 P-III 500 MHz for now. I have a full tower slot 1 P-II 450 MHz Gateway computer as well but it’s not with me right now. I got these simply because of the ISA slot which means I can use my Sound Blaster 16 on it.
Yup defo a gateway board paired with that banshee
I thought so!
Hello everyone! Let me know about any salvage or junkyard finds you have made recently!
