Lovin that chefs knife. Beautiful handle material as well. If you dont mind me asking, do you get your stabilized wood from a specific person/retailer?
Lovely!! Was the chef 52100? Just another internet opinion but I’ve had more issues with forging it too hot and it “hot shorting” with cracks that looked identical to that!
Hey, I have a quick question for you. Can you leave scale on a kitchen knife? Besacuse i just made one and i like tke look of it, but some people say that you can't properly clean it.
Loose scale is probably not a great idea, it’s a home for bacteria and rust. I do my best with a wire wheel on my angle grinder to clean the loose stuff off, but other than that it’s completely fine and shouldn’t be an issue. The brute de forge finish is extremely popular and has been incorporated in knife making for hundreds of years
Excellent work as always!
Thank you!
I do literally everything in forge. Heat guns my best friend
Awesome, love the videos man!
Thanks!

Thanks! I have a few different people I buy from, some are fairly local to me here in Canada and others are scattered throughout the US
@saccoknives Gotcha! Well keep up the good work my friend 👍

They were both 1084 but from different bars. Yea there’s definitely a lot of things that can go wrong, just takes time and practice!
