I just discovered this in the past year. I love Northern Soul!!! In the US, we were being part of the hippie and then disco movements during this time. My friends and I surely would have been part of Northern Soul if we were in the UK!❤❤❤👏👏👏
I’ve only ever been to one northern soul event but I’ve grown up listening to ska reggae hip hop and soul etc and always loved dancing..It’s great to see so many people having a good time like one big family…I can’t stop watching these clips and I would love to come and join you all at a future event and learn the moves…Congratulations to the finalists 👌
Wow northern soul still going strong. I went to Caister in 76 with a couple of my pals, I was q young soul boy qnd met 3 girls from Wigan in a London club. They took us up to Wigan Caister weekender. It was an experience we never forgot. Fantastic.👍😎

You'd be surprised to know there are many Northern Soul events in the USA . My Cousin runs a monthly one in Milwaukee but there are many others around if you search hard enough
The past 9 years there have been at least 7 winners in one competition…but only one has to be chosen to be the winner l. And so at times it’s been really difficult to pick just one ❤ now dancers don’t seem to even come close to even the runners up from the past xx
Congratulations to Sally , I think she had the edge has it seemed to me that shes had dance lessons . Not necessary Northern Soul but dancing in general , which would give her the edge of the other two contestants , all in all they are all winners at the end of the day.

One thing when you dance everyone has there own style funny when some people standard not as good well it's folks like these keep it going. People on the side lines like to criticize well you get up and dance . Takes Balls to get up in front of folks first class 👏 to the lady and two Gentlemen 👏👏💥🙏😍🤩

Where did this take place? A magnificent, grand old building only to be outdone by the truly captivating Sally Malloy. I'm kind of new to the NS scene and can't seem to get enough, and could watch Sally do her thing all day, (or all nighter) long.
I really believe that there should be an age catagory. Young dancers who can do high kick are not necessarily fair competition to more elderly (and I am one) dancers who have less mobility. It is like putting rap dancers in with the over 50's and then judging who is more flexible. Food for thought everyone.
hi i have just watched this competition and really enjoyed it but i must say the judging is a bit unfair, i believe there should be 2 gategories one for the older Generation of Dancers And one for the Younger Generation of dancers as it is common sense that those in their later years cannot do the twists and turns and going down on their backs the way a younger person would be able to so theres no way one of the older dancers would ever win unless there were 2 gategories with 2 lots of winners
