In today's video, I turn some ball-point and fountain pens from bloodwood. This was my first time ever working with bloodwood, and I have to say, it was a very nice wood species as far as turning goes! The dust that came off the blanks during the turning process was almost pink in colour, so I really had no idea what the final product was going to look like. Once finished, though, the wood took on a very nice rusty red colour, and I love how it looks on these pen kits.
Which pen kit colour do you think goes best with this wood?

Just beautiful. I love your pens - it's not only nice to see what lovely work you do, but it's also great that some of us still use pens. :) (Minor rant: I remember being in the British Museum and looking at the handwritten pages of Dicken's 'David Copperfield' and Bronte's 'Jane Eyre', and wondering - what will future people look at? A hard drive? There is something that's so 'human' about handwriting.)
