- I decided to do Postmates after the 2nd paycut of the year. The results are dare I say...SHOCKING! Postmates believes this will help us by removing the minimum guarantee but my results did vary. Quack Quack Goose oh yeah and from the honest email all Postmate drivers received about our CUT in pay I’m sure they give us 100% of our tips and would never do what the other delivery apps were caught doing when an investigation showed tip stealing from drivers.
This cut in pay makes some of the no tip deliveries cost us out of pocket- your ignorant comment must mean you are not a Postmate driver. I mean no disrespect.
Also here in okc we went from .58 per mile to .45 per mile along everything Paul talks about in this video.

It's not just Postmates they all do it. Ubereats, Doordash, Instacart etc they all cut the pay

I’ve done the same with Uber. I’ve done 7-1 and made 12 before. Looking at postmates as an alternative
There still seems to be a minimum guarantee as I took a Starbucks that was going right across the street. All I got was the pickup (1.55) and drop off(.70). I noticed they still did a minimum guarantee and adjusted it to 3 bucks. That’s still pathetic though
Postmates is corrupt. They nickel and dime you which is called stealing. I just wanted to hug you at the end of your video. It probably felt like a waste of your time. You didn't waste your time though. Your'e helping all of us, your viewers, in various ways. Great content!

This pay cut has made me start selling stuff on eBay, Amazon, and Depop. And I've also agreed to do some yard work for a couple of my neighbors this weekend. Also looking into doing some dog walking and house sitting. Gotta supplement my supplemental income now. Lol
From what i can tell wednesday has gained traction and we are turning our apps off.

What I’m noticing also is that I’ve been having more double pick ups than usual but they are only paying the pick up base once instead of twice. Instead of being paid 1.70 for pickup I should be getting paid 3.40 since I am picking up 2 orders. Idk I haven’t done Postmates that long or had double pick ups so idk if this is something that’s always happened but it doesn’t seem right. Only 6 dollars and some change for 2 deliveries? Only getting the .75 cent base for drop off and mileage for second order is BS to me.

I have been driving lyft,they send you four to six mile to pick up $3.67 ride,I kinda quit driving Lyft,tried out postmate today,it is only good if you get tips from customers.They sent me 14 miles to pick walmart order,postmate only paid me $7.50,but luckily I got good tip from customer.i heard insta cart is good.i recommend you to sign up for insta cart,I think it pays well and also you get good tip from customers

Uber Takes 0% to 20% of what the Customer Pays when you First Join. Soon After,
Uber NOW takes 40% to 70% of what Customers Pay, and PAY NOTHING FOR GAS.
Drivers can tell very easy if they take the time to look.
Open Your Uber Ap, click on "FARE DETAILS" and you can see how much Uber Got,
how much You Got, and what the customer paid.
Drivers should not listen to Ubers Smoke and Dagger Con Artist CIRCUS ACTS.
Uber are using drivers cars for FREE.
They do NOT PAY FOR GAS
They do NOT PAY OUR CAR INSURANCE
They do NOT PAY FOR CAR MAINTENANCE
They do NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING
No hourly wages, No Benefits, Not even roadside assistance, Nothing!.
In 2 years, I have not spoken to, or heard from 1 single real person.
We Just Use Their AP, and they take 40% to 70% of what Customers Pay? It's Criminal.
So what happened? Why Rob and Bankrupt Drivers? Why rob the gas out of Drivers gas tanks?
Now being a Uber driver is not cool, and most cannot afford to fix up their cars.

Dara said there are 3 million drivers in the USA last week at IPO time.
Uber reports sending money to 60,000 Drivers.
How much percentage is that? 2%? So Approx 98% of Drivers Got Nothing.
Out of the top 2%, Many of them got $100.00 Dollars Bonus for 2,500 Rides?.
So 1% of Active Uber Drivers got a Bonus of over $100.00 Dollars?

I would try working closer to LA, such as the Westside of town like Santa Monica or Culver City. You are likely to receive more orders because you are in a bigger market base. You may spend more on gas for your commute, but the quantity of orders & payout in a short period of time is so much larger, especially on weekends.

Where I live .. out of 140+ orders I only got below the min guarantee 3 times.. So for Postmates to take this away doesn't effect me... and when I pick up the order i normally drive 3 to 10 miles anyways.. so far it seems its even or I'm making more on the distance... BUT I'm waiting a lot more between orders now.. Ill see how dinner rush goes tonight (Monday)
This has been my life the last 4 months. Thought I was the only one! The other day I accepted a retail order at CVS for the first time. Was texting the customer in the process cause they didn't have something. 10 mins later go to the location and the customer isn't answering. NEVER AGAIN! Has this ever happened to you? & College kids usually tip me the best.
I've been on Reddit and seen the outrage. You are describing a typical day for me. Waiting around 30-60minutes between orders while in a hot zones and when I start driving to another area an order might come through for where I had just been sitting for half an hour. The mileage not always being correct is a problem, and I definitely don't know about the wait time pay being worth it.
I stumbled across a group tackling this PM issue of unfair pay in a subreddit. They are starting a #payup campaign; the group Working Washington.
There is a petition which WW has started for people to sign, too.

Before the recent change, Postmates paid workers a base rate per job, plus a per-minute rate for wait time and a per-mile rate for miles from the restaurant to the customer. If that didn't add up to a "minimum guarantee" of $4, they made up the difference. And now...

Same. They also have meetings and conference calls. They were able to get Instacart to refund it's drivers for stealing our tips last year too.

Does postmates force doubles on you guys? Every-time I accept a Chipotle order it always forces another one on me. Problem is, one order is always ready and the 2nd one takes like 15+ minutes to make.. I've tried to cancel, but it cancels both orders. Any help?

I can't justify working for Postmates because they don't even show you what you're going to make on a delivery before you accept it.

The fact that 15 deliveries only gave me $60ish and it usually gives me $100 it’s a significant cut dude leaving at 1pm and coming home at11pm on a weekend. I can Also leave at 5pm -11pm tho Monday-Friday and get the same pay like wtf it make no sense slavery for sure
tried first time did 3 delivery our of 3 two of them were over 100$ food got 3$ base pay no tip 7 mile drop off each, i quiet not worth adding high mile low pay no tips
Its a hustle job not a full time thing. 250 a week is ok postmate .full time job on the side ur good ..no need to complain

a couple days ago I had a pick up at Walmart. I literally waited for 51 minutes and pm only paid me for 15. I sent a message to them asking about it and about 15 minutes later, they gave me the difference.

These companies use that same BS time and again - "help increase averages within a given hour". Well, that's not really the most important thing. What your tip is, is the most important. In this business money lies where a good generous customer base is. So we look for higher subtotal offers, catering, and group-order opportunities. Businesses are, far and wide, the most profitable. From what I have heard with respect to Postmates, they really do not have that. Driving around for a platform that is complete crap is wasting your time. What is the sense in boosting customer demand if they are cheap? No point. Money in this business is scarce. Tell the Postmates investors and executives to go out there and work for this trash. See how long it lasts.

Did you ever find out why? I was supposed to make $700 for 75 deliveries, never got it. Then I was supposed to get $1,600 for 200 deliveries.. Im at 236 and only made $1,545..

We do have caviar but they also pay $3.00 minimum and only 30 to 40% of customers tip, you don't make much from tips with caviar. Even though Doordash subsidizes tips I make more with dd than caviar, postmates and ubereats.
I can never get the bonus Postmates is shit company I always fall 1 or 2 orders short

I was approved and the nearest vehicle inspection station is....about 3 hours away. I would have to work a few days of UE to make the gas money or inspection fee back. I am waiting for a time I am near that area to get it done.
@@jackofpaultrades yes i too switched to UE customers dont tip as much as PM but the pay is much better and deliveries is much faster u can do 3-4 orders in an hr & a half with PM i can do 1-2 orders in the same time but its weird i jist signed up got approved in 2 days and didnt have to do no car inspection. but over i can do 16-17 orders full time 8 hrs and make 100-120 with tips included. on PM i do 15-16 orders and only make 80-90 with tips included. the one thung i like about UE is u can get back to back orders and wont have to worry about the 2nd order getting canceled becus another driver accepted the order
You don’t need a car inspection to deliver UberEATS. However, if your signing up for Uber and UberEATS at the same time, then you’ll need an inspection.
I wouldn’t even try tbh as a customer Uber eat has poor service the system is messed up, they need to stick to chauffeuring.

We are entitled to 100% of the tips that the customer also thinks is going to us.
I only do them if I can get 3 orders....yesterday a customer gave me $0.01 tip.🤔 SMH

Man $18 and change for almost 7 hours of work? Damn! You did worst than the guys who are panhandling in public. I am debating on whether or not I should do food delivery service. You should have reported that lady to the police and file a formal complaint for sexual harassment and sexual assault because she was objectifying you. You need a lawyer and you need to go to the press and start a Me Too movement for men. Tell them how humiliating it was dealing with that kind of sexual harassment at your job. You need to sue Postmates, that lady and the business where the harassment occurred. Don't tolerate that man, she followed you with the intent to rape you and she obstructed your ability to open the door of your car and that is intimidation and aggravated assault. Call Gloria Allred.
