- The Citroen DS5 is no more as the DS sub-brand becomes its own mark. Introducing the new 2015 DS 5, the dawn of a new age for luxury cars. This specific 2015 DS 5 is the 1955 special edition that celebrates 60 years since the Citroen DS. Our test car was powered by the new Euro 6 Blue HDi engine with a 6 speed manual transmission.
Beautifully designed and uniquely styled, the 2015 DS 5 stand out from its traditional rivals.

Absolutely stunning car, the styling is top notch, incredible road presence. I can honestly say thats it better than bmw, audi, etc.
I've got one. It's not perfect but I love it. I replaced my 5 series with it. I've no regrets. I have it now 2 years. It's a special car.

i think you'll find it's still made as before by citroen, they've just isolated the brand to another business stream.
+kevin hickin Most PSA products are made in the same factories. DS is now a separate brand much like Citroen and Peugeot.

Those hideous wheels and over-the-top headlight clusters indicate they're trying too hard, which is a shame because there seems to be a quality car hiding underneath.

Why would you buy a DS rather than an Audi or BMW? Because you can't afford the Audi or BMW obviously. Having driven a DS5 to see what they were like I can honestly say that it was a horrible car to drive compared to my own car which is a VW CC but I will say one thing for the DS5 and that is that it looks great and very different to most other cars on the road.
Ds5 anyday.....audi and bmw are simply boring
Audi or BMW, only if I'm am masochist. Pass the rest of the days in workshop with those brands. DS5 is unique and not comparable with those very boring brands and if you are not in Germany, you can not speed to much in the Highway with the BMW/Audi. Only people that usually are trying to show to their neighbors or friends they buy MB/AUDI/BMW, pure show-off, they have problems of affirmation in this society. DS is for high-end people that thinks out of the circle, individualist, people with pedigree!
I have had a DS4 and currently DS5 these cars are unique and super luxurious! For less of course! Three sun roofs and BMW can't give you that!

armourdaddy805 Whilst looks are subjective, personally I think it looks more elegant at the front, it is undeniable that this car builds upon the original in positive ways. The diesel is expected to be the biggest seller as it was with the previous incarnation.

Don´t be fooled by the use of the DS name. This is not a true DS! There can only be one DS. Nothing else can carry that name without the hydropneumatic suspension, for example and all the other unique features of the original.
Let this scrap go down the drain! Or abandon the DS-name!
+Jourwalis - I'd say drive it before you judge it. All-new models are on the way, but remember the PSA group need to build the brand to begin with.

I don´t have to drive it. Nothing can carry the DS name without the hydropneumatic suspension and the full power brakes with the "mushroom" brake pedal, swiveling, long range lights, for instance...
+Jourwalis - I totally appreciate that there is a place for nostalgia and history, but just like Mini, DS needs to be seen as fresh and not just do what they used to do.
+Jourwalis - get with the program...it's too good a branding opportunity to ignore.
@@jourwalis-8875 suspension,no,but the headlights DO swivel with the steering.Handy to look round corners before you commit! They are also extremely powerful.
