    I would also not leave more than a few feet of excess strap floating around without it being tied to something. Reason being I had longer than necessary straps, the excess portion was caught in the airflow and went between the cab and box and wrapped around the driveshaft breaking the strap and almost pitching my bike out of the truck as the forks rebound.

    Really good video! Great information without getting too wordy, not like talking to a bunch of dummies! Thanks!👍

    tip: use a strap to secure the ramp to the tow hook or two points on the car frame. The chains you used on the tailgate cable would easily snap if the ramp moved back.

    Great video! I was thinking about getting a gladiator but wasn't sure if I could fit my bike. Do you get worried putting pressure on the tailgate?

    We have the same color gladi rubicon! Now I need to get another bike!
    Btw, there’s bike handle straps. It’s a strap that goes across both handle bars and has loops on both ends to hook the ratchets to. They’re very handy.

      And it’s good to mention that when tying down bikes, the ratchets should be ratchet down far enough to take the slack out of the bike’s forks. Any slack in the forks can make the bike move when transporting and ratchets come loose.

    What I really wanted to see was if it's possible to fit a big boy bike in a Gladiator. Seems like a yes. However you gave a straightforward, idiot proof explanation. So, cheers to you, sir.

    If the bike was diagonal in the bed and still strapped down, would it fit with the tail gate closed??

    • @peterness280
      @peterness280 4 роки тому +1

      Brandon Prentice it depends on the bed size and bike length, for the full size bike 6.5 foot bed that idea would work

      With a 8 foot long box you can close the gate parked straight. I now have a 6'-5" box and can close the gate if the bike is on an angle with about 10 inches to spare.

    Great job one little tip. Be aware of your hand gestures. Good job with this just dont bring them all the way togather and make the clapping sound. Other than that this is a television ready presentation. Very impressive...

    Will two bikes fit in the Gladiator?

    " What I am going to do is I am going to…". 11 words added to a sentence that mean absolutely nothing, are not necessary, and are used way too often by people who are not used to giving instruction. Take those words out of every sentence every time they are used and the sentence says the same thing without all the filler.
