@@shroomsrus5116 when removing the tick with tweezers, you need to grip it quite hard for the tweesers to grip, you generally grab behind the head and doing so can crush the arachnids head, neck and back, although not always noticeable you can break a ticks neck, and or causing pretty bad injuries to the tick. Though not always, it is a very good chance something like that had killed the arachnid.
Blue tongues even hunt down some species of snake. I've seen wild ones nomming on some red belly blacks. As pets, they are super interactive and curious. Absolute sweethearts. Even wild ones are amazingly sweet if you are respectful and keep a distance. They'll accept some Bananna tossed out and go back to defending your yard.
I love our blue tongue living in our yard. It's keeping the snakes away and eats the snails. I would never keep it as a pet as skinks should be out in nature.
I got one two da ya ago he is loving his new tank and already has made like 2 tunnels we know of but we only see him in the evening and afternoon ish other than that he’s in his tunnels

All blue tongues are like this, they’ll run, thrash, snap, and hiss at any sign of danger, but once picked up will just paddle and hiss pathetically :)
I caught wild ones many times when I was a kid. They hiss, flick their tongues and flatten themselves, but once I picked them up they calm down pretty quickly. They actually take to being handled very well.
The best part about this video is that he didn’t take advantage of the ticks and made the video clickbait (like every other UA-camr) He could have called it like “Saved Blue Tongued Skinks life!!!”. thank you for being non-clickbait crew!
Had one that used to pop up in my front yard at my old house, always made sure they had no ticks and would Pat them a bit and let them explore the garden. I love them.
I love skinks. We just called them Blue tongues or bluies (spelling) and they are indeed pretty common in Australia, especially in rural areas. Often enough, some homes will get an unintentional pet out of them and they are nice to see every now and then. Don't harm us in anyway and probably keep the bugs and whatever else they eat down to a lower level. Cats and dogs tend to kill them, but when you get to know them, they are lovely lizards who I SWEAR know which house has the friendly people and food on occasion.
XBakaTacoX I have a breeding couple living at my house (skinks that is...😉). They have never really gotten tame, but as you say, they have chosen our place because of the river rocks, regular treats and lack of domestic pets😎👍
I mean not really... Ticks are animals too just like the skink and are just trying to survive how they have evolved to. You bring up your god for some reason when he supposedly designed ticks to latch onto other creatures like this in the first place... sigh.. arent these all your god's creatures?
I would agree with your last sentiment. I certainly am grateful that the ticks got a chance to live as well. I should mention that I am also a vegetarian - I love and respect all creatures.
I'm glad you respect all creatures. I'm more just highlighting that it makes no real sense to be happy that he removed the ticks, because in order to survive, the tick needs to latch on to other animals like this. Now removed from this skink, the tick will only go and find another skink or some other organism to latch on to. If it doesn't it will die. Such is the brutal survival-of-the-fittest world of nature, and certainly not something any benevolent creator would design. If a god exists that designed all these creatures, he certainly won't be blessing Coyote for interfering with his maniacal, foul designs where organisms must make each other suffer in order to survive.
OK, lol. We are all on different journeys and you are entitled to your opinion. I am entitled to mine. That being said, I respect yours. Best of luck in your life and future endeavours.

Kookaburras, Green Treefrogs and Blue Tongues are the best. I love them when they appear in our garden. They bring about a sense of serenity to the place.
We have millions of these where I grew up in Perth. Every couple of weeks the dogs would corner one, occasionally they killed it but quite often they ran away yelping with a big ol lizard bite of their nose. I don't think those things have teeth but their bite is like a vice grip.
Like Ravi (the red panda at the Australian Zoo) when he chased a water dragon for 20 minutes only for it to bite him on the nose and made him run up a tree.
Justin Morton no there isn't......it may be warrior wasp.....executioner wasp's episode hasn't been released yet....I searched the whole internet for that

Kookaburras, Green Treefrogs and Blue Tongues are the best. I love them when they appear in our garden. They bring about a sense of serenity to the place.

camera man mark is becoming legend
We have millions of these where I grew up in Perth. Every couple of weeks the dogs would corner one, occasionally they killed it but quite often they ran away yelping with a big ol lizard bite of their nose. I don't think those things have teeth but their bite is like a vice grip.
Like Ravi (the red panda at the Australian Zoo) when he chased a water dragon for 20 minutes only for it to bite him on the nose and made him run up a tree.
Na na poo poo
