Dweezil is such a talented musician but seems really down to earth and a nice guy. If his dad had one of these units it would be cool to hear what he’d do with it!
I wish Frank was around because Dweezil is every bit as good of musician as him, if not better, and it would be incredible to see them play together. I hope Dweezil can eventually get a bit out of his dad’s shadow and bring some of his own music to the shows. I’m glad to see him pushing the Fractal unit’s boundaries and pushing them to go further.
I honestly suspect Dweez really doesn't want to get out of Franks shadow. He's very devoted to his father and hia fathers musical legacy. And yeah, he's a relaxed friendly guy (something that although I love franks music I'm not sure I could say about frank, he was..... spikey, although I'm told that away from cameras, and when he wasnt focused on work he was apparently quite affable) . Frank would definately be proud of Dweezils musicianship. Frank would have loved all this modern gear too, though I doubt the modern wold would make him happy in all the other ways, alas (Its a tough world to be a professional musician in)
The part that I still don’t understand is how to use all those FX and still cut thru in a band mix. Particularly with keys, horns, second guitar, all in the same midrange area. Genius.
8:35 THIS is the tone. I left that show shook by this tone. And I really struggled to pinpoint what FX he was using. It was fat, weird, and cutting all at the same time. Overall, really tasty use of FX. 😎👏👏👏
What was he using to get that sustain? Sustainiac pickup or a parameter in the fractal? It’d be nice if I didn’t have to carry a guitar with a sustainiac just for one song I use it on.
i was wondering that too. it's not a sustainiac, he doesn't have the pickup in his guitar. i thought it might be the digitech freqout. you can do this type of sustain in the fractal, i made a preset that uses the synth block. i don't know if i can post a link here, but do an advanced search on the fractal forum for keywords=freqout synth (check titles only) and posted by=simeon. we may find out the source, as someone has posted the same question on the forum and cooper may be able to supply the answer
THANK YOU for joining me for this, @thedweezilzappa!!

Awesome video. I vote for a dweezil gift of tone preset this year
killer tones! oh man... when I heard it in the context of the full band... amazing!

sounds great man!
Awesome, I can’t begin to imagine the time and depth of programming on those presets!
Bruh.
Mind blowing tones.
He’s about as evil as a Boogie Man can be!
Don't give Kirk Hammett any ideas to run 2 parallel wahs :)
😂
Not to be outdone, Dunlop is building wah-wah shoes for Kirk. 🤫Don't tell anyone.
Dweezil and Fractal rule!😎❤️
Like Zappa! Because he is a ZAPPA!!!
Yes! Thanks CC!
This is great. All these sonic options! And it takes 1000's of hours to dial it in.
Don't be a silly Billy

@@Simeon_Harris sweet. Thank you so much.
You can see the Freqout LEDs lighting up in the second (from the top) rack drawer.
I‘m a simple man. I see Dweezil in my feed and upvote.❤
never clicked so fast
Would kill to get these presets
Thanks for this. What monitors is he using? How are they run. Is the output EQ on them? These questions on everyones mind? Or just mine.
Yes...
VERY VERY MUSICOOL!!!!
Sweet now Dweezil can do that cover of Push Comes To Shove. Cooper you can do it if he doesn't.
Imagine what would happen if Dweezil got a Korg Miku.
Lols, or two in stereo
Is that Frank's old Les Paul?
