As a veteran of war I can tell you the worst possible thing for us who survived whether at home or in the war zone is for us to be forgotten. Never forget the sacrifices made or it will have been for nothing.
I promise, as a citizen of the United States of America, to never forget the sacrifices made. The battles fought, the men we lost, and the ones that time forgot. I pledge to remember the ones who risked their lives so we can live and breathe safely
World War one. A war of misunderstandings, of pride. It was shown that peace was achievable through things all had in comen like the first Christmas. I feel bad for all who fought in any war. To see dead people live in horrible conditions... and taken other peoples lives.
To those of you who gave up their lives, i thank you. To those of you who lost everything i thank you. To those of you who had the courage to stand up for whats right i thank you. This is not to the governments or any political leader. This is for the men and women who risked it all to save the world. You are the true heroes and will never be forgotten
Heroes? Who bomber heroshima and nagasaki with atom bombs and bombed german cities everyday? I don't support the nazi germans or the japanese but bombing innocent civiians is not very heroic.
You do know im talking about all the men and women who sacrificed to protect those they cared about. Im not talking about any one nation. Read the entire comment
My grandfather served in the Vietnam war, he was stationed in Korea during the war. I salute all veterans, especially the ones that fought throughout the toughest battles in history.. Like Pearl Harbor. Thank you, veterans, for serving our country, keeping us safe and preserving our freedom, we really appreciate it.. Many don't show it, but we all thank you. Every country, any war, you were there, keeping us safe, risking your life, for your country. That's true bravery. Thank you
Thank you so much for creating this! My grandma's brother died flying a bomber in WW2. And her other brother never returned home from the the front lines..
+Brad HD well he's a hero m8 my grandad faught in Burma against the Japanese but the Lancaster is one he'll of a bomber it was that that sunk a famous German ship and by the time the Luftwaffer knew what happend they were allredy to far to catch pluss the Lancaster verry famous for the dam busters remember there's only 2 flying in the world
monty s wow. Must have been something. I had a professor who was a U.S. infantryman in WWII, and he said during the big raids, he could see 10 or more bombers falling and upwards of a hundred parachutes drifting down.
My grandpa served in world war 2, he got Purple Heart, sadly died in 2008, I feel bad since I never got to thank him since was young when he died , I always am mad I never got to thank him, but this year on Veterans Day I will. Rip grandpa
This video make my hair rise on my arms, wow.. such a great video and movie. Respect to all the soldiers of ww2! Brutal, that's the right word for this.. just wow!
If this was a movie i'd go watch it dude.Awesome video. its majestic....RIP to all the soldiers that perished as a result of bad judgement made by the people we the population of this world elected.
My Grandfather escaped the ethnic cleansing of something like 50,000 -100,000 Singaporean Chinese males in February 1942 shortly after the occupation of Singapore. Many were machine gunned ruthlessly in a course of 5 days and my grandfather lived on and here I am posting this
nice I love it , you should name it "air force ww2 veterans" cuz it's all about it , don't in really liked to see repeated frames but whatever , you did a great job ! :)
I'm from Hawaii, and I remember my grandpa telling and sharing his story at pearl harbor he was on the Arizona when the Japanese bomb it. And my grandpa was a sailor, and showed us his shrapnel wounds, and most of them weren't able to escape. May thier souls rest I. 🙏 peace.
Buddy I lI appreciate your efforts I really care about them so I want you to create more videos of World War 2 and keep it up so good luck next time I'll read this video 4.5 stars. good job keep it up honestly I was a Marine in World War 2 I have lost my many friends I appreciate your efforts please thank you have my memories back.
I watched a video on WWII Bombers, and the pilots/crew that flew them. A U.S. crewmember of a B-17, had this to say: "It was a million dollar experience, that he wouldn't pay a nickel to do over."
A short biography of my family (I was born in Germany, but my parents came from the Soviet Union as Volga Germans): My 1st grandfather was a gunner of the FLAK gun 61-K, he de-iced his own cooling system for the flaks of his type because they overheated quickly. These were used on many models. He survived the war. My 2nd grandfather was a scout. There is little information available, he survived the war. My 1st great-grandfather was an infantryman and died two (!) Times. He was first seriously injured and was registered as a death. Later it turned out that he lives. First he was in the hospital, then back on the front. He died shortly thereafter by a neckshoot. His name appears twice in the Book of the Fallen with a different date of death. My 2nd great-grandfather was a simple farmer, and not involved in World War II. Only a few weapons for their own protection, but no involvement at the front. My 1st great-uncle was a sniper, he had 21 confirmed kills, of which 2 high-ranking persons (confirmed). Although he survived the war, he lost his leg to an enemy sniper. The story of my second great-uncle is unknown. Both grandmothers and both great-grandmothers were doctors during World War II.
The pack of Bf-109s rolling in at 2:47 is a really cool shot. I hope someday such fine cinema will document the deeds of the VVS. For now, only a few decent, short clips I can think of.
My great grandfather was in the red army, server as cavalry, and marched against the German panzers. He was blinded by a German stick grenade, and later passed away while serving in WW 1 and WW 2. Respect the fallen men and women in their final hour.
In 1944, especialy the second half they were nearly running out of good pilots, they didnt have oil to spend on training so fresh recruits from Luft HJ were sent to their air after 15 hours of excercise. However, a small part of the Luftwafe were those super pilots with houndreds of kills, the best pilots of all time, are found in the Luftwaffe no matter what
Clips also include those from Michael Bay's Peral Harbor. Both that and Red Tails feature the amzaing sound design of #skywalkersound - Ethan Van der Ryn/Beau Borders & Ben Burtt/David Acord respectively. #soundmatters
My ancestors may have fought for the Nazi Party but they were mere everyday soldiers defending there fatherland and never gave up no matter the circumstances they marched on. God bless the men who had died in this war and for let us live another day in peace
And people over look Germans as all being Nazi and I hate it I'm proud of my country and I have no regrets there were Nazi Hero's to you also have to remember not everyone wanted to be apart of the Nazi's so people out there learn some respect there just humans not monsters France and Britain provoked the war anyways everyone was in the wrong
Whether a late participant, or an original beligerent, Axis or Allied, SS or Japanese, Soviet or American, British or German, one must certainly respect all those who fought on the front line in one of the worst & most deadly conflicts of Human History. Regardless of whether you agree with their ideology/reasons for fighting or not, respect the common soldiers/sailors/airmen/Paramilitary personel who fought.
None of my relatives fought in ww2, because we're brazilians, but my mom's family scaped Italy at ww1 and went to brazil. I salute this veterans, for their service and sacrefice.......
back when men had balls of steel and flew in freaking tin cans firing machineguns aiming thro iron sights demanding outstanding skills and experience war truly was an art where only the fittest and the best would survive, now new tech is making it all easyier more dependant on the computers.

Can't blame him, not many WWII movies..
GRIMREAPERwillEATyou I know but it IS a WW2 tribute it doesn't always have to be planes.
+Bandit yeah i agree. many men lost their lives on ground missions and at sea. couldve added navel warfare and gunfights
+DevestatingEffeX yup. Significantly more ground losses than air losses.

In my opinion, all soldiers of all nations deserve respect, not just Britain, Russia, and Germany.
