Facts, loved your reaction..his rendition was soo heartfelt..it makes you acknowledge in a way our strength of our country or something, can't explain it.. (Whitney will always be the one to beat, but his one is definitely right up there with her(anyone else is not even close,lol😅)..they both sang their hearts out with our beautiful American national anthem with such pride 🇺🇲🫡..
When I saw him sing the national anthem and I'm sure many veterans will agree with I had the honor of serving the marine corps my chest swelled up with pride my eyes went watery and right there I thanked the Lord himself for making me AMERICAN 🇺🇸
You need to do a deep dive into Chris’ music. There’s a reason he’s an 8-time Grammy winner. Start with Tennessee Whiskey live at Austin City Limits then anything after that. There is no wrong choice with his catalog. 😜
And a Multi-Platinum Certified artist. I love that Chris Stapleton can bring people into Country music that otherwise wouldn't have. He deserves every bit of the recognition that he gets.
Yes, he is a gift! A True raw talent he is! I won't go all the way down the rabbit hole lol but I do plan on checking out more of his catalog. Thanks for the recommendation.
I am English to the core and yet Chris Stapleton's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" brought tears to my eyes. He sang it with passion and reverence, not as some have done, what i mean by that is, without the vocal gymnastics. I will be watching it again and again, it was truly inspirational.
I'm so glad for your reaction to "Gallantly Streaming". That's really the musical moment. It was a very difficult and technical run, especially without much wind behind it. I believe he sang it quietly out of respect. He didn't want to upstage the meaning behind the song. Also, Chris is rarely seen without his hat, but he removed it to sing the national anthem. A solid man he is.
I, too, was blown away! When I tell you that I had to play it, play it back all over, pause, rewind and play it like 10 more times ... Whew! It was AMAAAZING!!! This man had me crying, yelling, laughing, woohooing, in my car to the point where I had to pull over on the side of the road (seriously) and play it again & again (loudly)! Anybody driving past me was going to think I was a nutcase because I had it up loud then kept clapping, yelling, laughing, etc! I mean I was talking to Chris Stapleton meanwhile he has no idea that I even exist. (Laughing now.) 🤣 Uggghhhh! So sooo GOOD. My only complaint: It was too short! As a matter of fact, I'm going to stop writing this comment so that I can go and listen to it once AGAIN!
This rendition brought the anthem to the personal level. He could have been singing about an uncle who died in Vietnam, mee-maw and them, or the next generation coming up. It was an ode to all of us as Americans. it was simple and beautiful.
Yes.... i heard it girl.... that "gallantly streaming" was pure fire!!! I have been trying to watch these reactions to see if they hear what i hear and you are the only one!! Thank you!!! Even the run at the very first word, "oh"..... OMG.... He nailed the anthem.... That is all!!!
Yes, Ma'am. Go ahead and dive on in to my man's catalog. You will not be disappointed. That man is nothing but soul and emotion. A once in a generation talent.
@@LifewithTab What did it for me is that this felt like The National Anthem sung by Chris Stapleton and not Chris Stapleton sings the National Anthem. To some that may be a distinction without a difference, but to me, it was everything. You knew he was holding back while singing and not simply looking to display the breadth of his skill as a way of keeping eyes on him. He found a way to get out of the way and sing our hearts to attention at the Anthem being celebrated.
Girl, you gotta hear him singing Sometimes I Cry at the bing lounge live! I have to say "whooooo" just like you did every time I hear him sing. Just gives me chills every time!
Not gonna lie, I knew about him but this one snuck up on me. My guy just stood there in front of a few million people with sunglasses and a guitar like he was practicing in front of a mirror
@halah34 Chris was always scared to perform . He wrote so many number one songs for other stars . Until his wife Morgan encouraged him to try. He released “ traveler “ with his own songs and the rest is history . A legend was born . I’m glad so many people got hear him for the first time durning Super Bowl .
@LIFE WITH TAB please consider reacting to Angelina Jordan! She was only 9 when she did a cover of I Put A Spell On You, or her Bohemian Rhapsody cover at AGT, she was 13. She is an absolute prodigy!! 💯
"Soulful smoothness" is right! You nailed it young lady. The only other version I have ever heard at the Super Bowl that comes close to this version was Whitney Houston.
Right lol!! If you were to describe his voice it most definitely be that. OMG yes Whitney is my all time favorite version but he is by far a strong second.
Love your analysis, especially the difference of feeling vs singing a song--spot on! Marvin Gaye's soulful rendition at the 1983 NBA All-Star game and the significance of Jimi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner are also all-time greats!
We just witnessed #2. Whitney hit it at #1 and may never be topped. I watched and listened to her unreal talent. Then watched this past Sunday. In the ballpark. And then followed by a great game. I love this country. Name one that is better. We have problems. But man..,we have it good.
That's true! But you already know if she didn't have that issue she would've sung it live and it would have still been great because she had the most amazing voice.
I agree. Whitney, Chris, then Jimi. I just wish all the hate would stop. We are creating more racism (ethnicism) than we have ever had just in the last decade or two. Peace, Love!!
Just mastery...brilliant. He easily could have jazzed it up and done a dozen other things with that song....he didn't. He very gently stroked his guitar and sang the words with passion....he was serenading all of America. Could you imagine the woke board room conversations when someone must have suggested a country and western singer sing the anthem? Ha! For two minutes everyone was American. Well done Chris.
Welcome to Chris Stapleton. It's a rabbit hole. Seriously. Listen to "Cold" (Live at the CMA's), Tennessee Whiskey, I Was Wrong, Sometimes I Cry, and What are you Listening To? You won't be sorry!
Girl you need to listen to I was wrong, Tennessee Whiskey, Sometimes I Cry, pretty much his whole music catalog, Chris Stapleton will have you throwing your shoes!!!! 👠
You know, I thought Whitney Houston's was better, but I found out that this week that she didn't even sing it live and what we heard was recorded in a studio and played for the audience. Even the orchastra finger synced it. So this is IMO the best LIVE performance ever.
I'm at 1:12 and not going further. You don't interrupt the National Anthem. You should have run it through once and gone back through it again to comment.
Best one ever IMO. Witney's was great but there is a whole conjecture to that one, lol. Cough "Fake". Chris brought half of America together when half of us can't seem to get along for 2 minutes, lol. Cheers!
The best is by far Fergie at the all star game. That's the only time I've cried at the national anthem. Now was I crying from laughter, without a doubt. But still it moved me like no other. 😂

This is the most American that I have felt in a long time! Definitely my fave rendition! He makes me cry!
I love music that makes me feel! They couldn’t have picked anyone better! He has now set the bar!
See it is so touching!!
Me too! Yes, he was a good pick for sure! 😊
He killed it !!! I have never heard anyone sing it that good
When I saw him sing the national anthem and I'm sure many veterans will agree with I had the honor of serving the marine corps my chest swelled up with pride my eyes went watery and right there I thanked the Lord himself for making me AMERICAN 🇺🇸
But why? Like America is so great? You guys have fallen of that thrown long ago.
Chris’s unbelievable rendition of the Star Bangled Banner set the tone for the entire evening.
YES IT DID!😊❤
True patriotism from a real american when he sang this
Yes! We are blessed to be Americans! Chris put it on our hearts that day!!
Chris took us to church!
Yes he did!🙏
You need to do a deep dive into Chris’ music. There’s a reason he’s an 8-time Grammy winner. Start with Tennessee Whiskey live at Austin City Limits then anything after that. There is no wrong choice with his catalog. 😜
I highly recommend this as well!
Thank you Don! I will dive deep into his catalogue. I'm sure I will be very pleased. 😀
Yes do Cold 2021 CMA’s amazing will blow you away
And a Multi-Platinum Certified artist. I love that Chris Stapleton can bring people into Country music that otherwise wouldn't have. He deserves every bit of the recognition that he gets.
Cold is also amazing
Chris is in my opinion the best voice the planet has right now. You are in for a treat if you go down that rabbit hole .
Yes, he is a gift! A True raw talent he is! I won't go all the way down the rabbit hole lol but I do plan on checking out more of his catalog. Thanks for the recommendation.
Chris had everybody cryin'. He can make the phone book sound good.

Absolutely, I thought the same thing! Thank you for watching! 🤗

Chris Stapleton was sangin', sangin'
Yes he was! 🙌🏽
T h e best ever of the national anthem. No one could compare to him.

Lol I love ittt! You're like me. This kind of singing and music always makes me lose my mind cause it's so touching. Thanks for commenting ☺
Chris sing this the way it should be sang, from the heart.
Ain't that the truth!
Chris Stapleton was passionate Gospel Soul giving the Anthem reverence and spirit.
This rendition brought the anthem to the personal level. He could have been singing about an uncle who died in Vietnam, mee-maw and them, or the next generation coming up. It was an ode to all of us as Americans. it was simple and beautiful.
He took the spot as the best anthem ever chris is next level.
That's voice of angel singing the national anthem.
Gritty Soul is a very good description of his voice.
Absolutely!
Chris Took Us All to Church singing the National Anthem ❤
All of his music is like this
Brought the song to life …made it real to me
They pick the right person this year to sing our National Anthem the best to ever heard
Don't know Chris Stapleton but it's special when an artist makes you feel their art. Beautiful.

I can’t hear this version without tearing up!
Hit me like that too, it seemed very “anointed” to me!
Perfectly said
You got it right, I believe it most definitely was anointed!!!
Definitely agree
Anointed! That's the word. Thank you! I've been looking for the description and that is the word that covers it entirely!
Anointed is absolutely a good word to describe it!
Yes, Ma'am. Go ahead and dive on in to my man's catalog. You will not be disappointed. That man is nothing but soul and emotion. A once in a generation talent.
That is the truth! ☺

The word your looking for on how his voice sounds is "America." That how it makes you feel! Makes you Proud to be in and feel American.
he was smooth like Tennessee whiskey 🥃
Yep you should really check out more of his songs!!! Powerful stuff!!!
U need to react to some Chris Stapleton. U will not b disappointed.
Girl, you gotta hear him singing Sometimes I Cry at the bing lounge live! I have to say "whooooo" just like you did every time I hear him sing. Just gives me chills every time!
I will check it out!
I’m not crying, you’re crying 😢 soooo gooood
I soooo was crying lol! ❤

Righhht! I was like how is he so calm and cool right now, like he's just practicing in his living room. It's amazing to see.

Best live anthem ever.,
I love your reaction!! Your commentary is spot on. And you have a beautiful voice!
Aww Thank you so much. That means a lot!

I subscribed because I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to Chris singing the Star Spangled Banner. Still waiting for more reactions to Chris......😉
Loved your genuine reaction!!
Also, you are beautiful lol

People that say this don’t know that Whitneys was lip-synch. Apples for apples… Stapleton’s version was better.
No comparison between Chris and Whitney. Appels & oranges. Both were excellent.
You're absolutely right!
Truly heart felt
The only issue i have with Whitney's is she lip synced in 1990 due to a throat issue., this is my #1
That's true! But you already know if she didn't have that issue she would've sung it live and it would have still been great because she had the most amazing voice.
I know, right! Loved it, love him! Sometimes you're sitting there thinking, hurry up and sit you @$$ down!
2:30 so wonderfull
Already a legend
I was waiting for this, subbed.
Thank you!
New sub.Enjoyed your reaction.
Thank you for watching! ❤
hello, how are you doing, how long have you been a fan of mine
Liked and subscribed. He has so much soul when he sings
Thank you! And yes he does
Best male vocalist alive in my opinion.
Take a look at his performance with Stevie Wonder at the grammys. It was great too.
Whatttttt he performed with Stevie at the grammy's???!!! I didn't know that. I must check that out now, Thank you!
I agree. Whitney, Chris, then Jimi. I just wish all the hate would stop. We are creating more racism (ethnicism) than we have ever had just in the last decade or two. Peace, Love!!
Just perfect
It was not the just the Coach
We were all crying

Welcome to Chris Stapleton. It's a rabbit hole. Seriously. Listen to "Cold" (Live at the CMA's), Tennessee Whiskey, I Was Wrong, Sometimes I Cry, and What are you Listening To? You won't be sorry!
Haha! Okay, I will. Thank you for the recommendation. 🤗
@@LifewithTab You're welcome! If you are a fan of the blues, Chris Stapleton is your guy!
Chris Stapleton and Whitney Houston was may favorite.
If you close your eyes you're listening to Ray Charles
You hear it too, huh? I was thinking he sounds like a country Ray Charles... if that's even a thing lol. 🤔
Songs you need to hear by him.....Cold, Tennessee whiskey, sometimes I cry, either way, I was wrong.....just a few
I love your reactions and comments ❤
You have to watch the CMA performance with Chris Stapleton & Justin Timberlake - Tennessee Whiskey & Drink You Away
Okay! I had no idea they performed together. I must check it out now.
Chris blew Houston right outta the water.
your spot on!
Amen
Try reacting to Chris singing "Cold" at the CMA awards. Talk about power and feeling!!
How awesome do you have to be to time the word brave with the flyover from the all female pilots crew
You are amazing Tabitha. I’ve just subscribed
Thank you so much! Welcome.❤️🤗
Those players we’re the only ones shedding tears from Chris’s performance Of our great American song
No I doubt it, lol. I heard he had a lot of people in the stadium crying. I think those people were just the only ones highlighted on the camera.
@@LifewithTab I didn’t cry. But I stopped in my tracks and listened.
Chris will run! Listen to “Sometimes I Cry” by him. The live version

Christ could sing Mary had a Little Lamb and still take you to church
I do believe that Lol😆

hello, how are you doing, how long have you been a fan of mine
Crazy thing is there were some Monday morning sports show ppl criticizing the coach for crying.
Really?!!..that’s crazy
The coach was crying because he knew his team was about to lose.

LMAO! Now you know you're wrong for that lol. It is quite comical though. 😆
That was a good comparison to Ray Charles never thought of that before.
