- Yes! Another intake on the explorer! This one has to be my favorite it doesn’t only look good but sounds amazing! As always I truly hope this video helps with the install . Thank you all for all the support it’s truly a blessing to be able to do what I love and for others to enjoy it as well!
If you’d like to get the intake for your explorer you can snag one here👇

Just swapped out my AFE intake for the V2 and the sound difference is major. I have a thermal R and D exhaust with custom Downpipes. The quality of the V2 is unparalleled. He includes every little thing you need and it’s all high quality. I went with the red piping and the amount of space and the way it looks is frikn awesome. This video is so helpful as are all Travis’ videos. Don’t even question your decision……get the V2.
Thank you brother I truly appreciate the kind words! I absolutely love my v2 intake! My favorite one I’ve owned
Great video as always! My wife just got an Aviator, looks like the exact motor🤭😇. I was researching the first mod decided on cold air. I’m glad my Texan brother has a video on all 3 of the ones I was looking into. I’m going to pick one up soon. Once I get the high flow cars and inter cooler I’ll pull the trigger on the tune
These aren’t a cold air intake though.
@CornFed_3 and the heat soaked box is…
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks I think he means the plastic won’t soak up heat like metal.
ZFG it works.
I have it installed in my aviator.. just note, it's a tight squeeze, since body isn't same as Explorer ST...
Always locked in 🥹🫶🏿
Got to be 💪
Gotta get some nice long white pipes for myself!
Ayooo 😂
I have the first V2 made and absolutely love it. My car is photoed on your website and Bretts lol!
Dude that’s badass!!!
I’m so glad I waited for the V2. It’s such a clean set up. Does Brett do custom powder coating colors or did you have someone else do yours?
If you bug him enough he will do custom colors I know most just do them their self😅
I was going to ask if you ever planned on getting to the hot side pipes, but you just stated it while I was watching. I have mine in the box still. Looks like I’ll have to take the AFe out to get it down.
This kit looks amazing. But the $$$
It’s pricey but worth every penny in my opinion Brett’s quality is top notch! And that’s correct you’d have to take out the box to get to the hotside charge pipe😅
Gotta have more sound clips. I have v1 seeing if its a noticeable enough to swap out
I’ll get some real soon😁
Dope video Travis!!!
Thank you 🙏
Let me get that S&B lol. Great video once again!
It sold as I was pulling it off to make the video 😅
lol I was thinking the same
Another great video .... when are your upgraded lights going to be back in stock ?
Currently assembling them should be back up and live on the website on Tuesday 😁
Love your videos and content! They are so helpful for someone who is getting a 25 ST and looking forward to doing some bolt on upgrades! How are your 295/45R20s on the 20x10 rims? No issues with rubbing? What springs are you on? Thanks for your contribution to the explorer community!
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel 🙏 I do have 25 content coming too 🤫 no rubbing at all I love my 20s and I’m on Ebaich springs 😁 if you need any parts feel more than free to reach out to me would love to be apart of your build 😁
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks Il'll be sure to do that! The only addon I'm concerned about is a catch can. I live in Southern Manitoba (just North of North Dakota) and our winters can get pretty cold here at -22F/-30C or even colder. ST will be parked in an attached but unheated garage which will sit around 15F/-10C. Not sure if running a catch can in the winter is something that I should be doing? I'm looking at UPR's dual valve catch can but figured I should just remove it mid fall when things start to freeze and reinstall in the spring. I'm still learning, never modified a vehicle before but all the possibilities with the explorer ST was just too good to pass up! Hopefully the 25 ECU will be cracked so it can actually be tuned.
@Rhino1188 welcome to modify cars man! I meet a lot of first timers on this platform and love it. You should be okay to run a catch can year round with no ill effects. And I heard they are working on it really hard and it should be real soon for them to be unlocked
you changed the ecu cover! It's white - it was red when you did the S&B. FenFab white ecu backing plate matching the white intake? 😁
I should get him to do that for me but I have a carbon ecu cover on the car it’s starting to yellow though so I’m about to ditch it
There's a car show down at the brewery this morning
Which brewery?
I’m interested to know if there are different and intake air temperatures between the S&B and this one. the metal tends to pick up a lot more heat from what industry has been saying for a long time
Wouldn't the S&B keep the filters cleaner? And does this allow for better airflow when the 2 are compared?
Giggidy...
Are the IAT better/worse/same with this setup over the box?
What is the Difference between the 2?
Between the v1 and v2 or the v2 and fenfab
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks the v2 vs fenfab. Does one make more hp when tuned?
@CANgRi_10TV S&B vs v2 fenfab mobile has truly tested them head on head I was going to but most people frown upon putting two different companies head to head
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks but which one makes more hp?
Hard to install with oem parts?
No not hard at all 😁
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks Does it affect the driveline?
@ScaniaDronninga no it’s the intake but I don’t know if it fits hybrid models
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks is there any reasson it shouldnt?
