- Thank you for watching my video! I hope you enjoyed it. I've been seeing this decklid water diverter thing on Facebook being sold and I was really thinking about making or buying one. Then after winning one at Carlisle in June, I was excited and finally could throw it on. If you guys are interested in purchasing one of these for your own car look up David Porter in all of the Fiero groups on Facebook and you will see his posts regarding these. With any questions, tips, or ideas, feel free to message me on Instagram @fierokyle.

This seems like a good thing to install after I get the engine out
Try owning an 84 it has huge vents over the spark plugs and exhaust manifold
@@mortisangelica oh yeah I know. I’ve owned an 84. The water on the plug holes made it great taking them out. Broke 2 in half
You think you'll have room to blow out debris if you need to thru the gap with the lid closed?
@@Sonyman34 oh yeah. There’s a gap between the glass and the decklid, an air chuck or leaf blower should do quick work with any debris
The factory one was made of rubber. It would dry rot and fall on exhaust, then cause a fire. That’s what cause the “Fiero fire hazard” from people. Even though I think there was only like 3 fires.
@@racingfortheson that’s interesting I never knew that! Thank you for the info
Mine is an 88 and it still has it.
Whose ground effects are those?
@@user-do1fq8oy9c so I kind of pieced together the ground effect kit. The front lip is from a mustang GT. The side pieces are from an early 2000s Subaru wrx, and the rear pieces are from a 2000s Honda civic. A little random but I think it works!
@@FieroKyle could you do a video on that project?
@@user-do1fq8oy9c I should! Maybe I will. Thank you for the suggestion
@@FieroKyle yup. Show us the year and model of your donor cars. Any mods to make them fit Fiero, etc.
The original fiero's were recalled due to the fuel lines getting caught on fire. They were run straight over the exhaust manifolds and started engine fires. The issue was fixed for every year after the 1984 models.
