@@AllGamingStarred If you check out my video 'Speed picking - What They Don't Tell You'.. that hand position is the most closely linked to rhythm playing, especially fast 16th note riffing. If you do loads of that, and do it for at least 30 seconds and build up your strength and stamina that way, that'll help

Hey Ben, if you have never explored Indian Carnatic style shredding and phrasing, check out Baiju Dharmajan. He has this unique style of playing which includes lots of grace notes and slurs and sliding and I think you'd love it if you haven't seen anything like that before. I personally consider him a legend. It'd mean a lot to me if you checked him out and maybe did a solo in his style on your channel. Thanks for all the inspiration. Have a great day! :D
Utkarsh Talwar I love those Indian style slurs and slides and sometimes try to incorporate them myself. I do something similar in my track, Hektor Tamer of Horses.. in the 1st verse. I just checked him out - it's good, it's a shame he doesn't have more videos.

Umm yeah he doesn't upload many videos but if you check out his previous band Motherjane's album Maktub, I think you'd fall in love with the solos. I worship the Fields of Sound solo and Broken solo. :D You can find both the songs on UA-cam too.

BenHigginsOfficial Hey man, eternally grateful for the 30 shredders video (it'll keep me up at night for the rest of the year lol). I was wondering about something, I can't for the life of me find any site that provides any solution to it, but any time I play fast, or just at a relatively quick pace my guitar tends to get kinda noisy, I guess it's due to accidentally hitting other strings or letting neighboring strings ring whilst playing. Do you know any solution to hammering out this problem? I basically want my playing to sound as clean cut as possible.

I actually watched it first, then this popped up, I rarely watch the full videos of just solos, but I was so captivated by your talent I had to watch this all the way through, and you do need to work on the lil wayne stuff.
