I had been looking at bags for a little while and this video sold me!👍 Now I just have to wait for my AOS bags to turn up, thanks for the comparison/review.
Thanks. Excellent review. Glad to see you talk about country of origin. We need to support Australian jobs and Australian businesses. Fantastic channel. Also glad to see Australia make a better product at a cheaper price than imports.
To be completely fair to crash pad. Their bag had more features then the others. That’s why it was more expensive. If the Aussie made bags were made the same way with the padded sides they would cost more. But I’d still happily pay the extra for Aussie made.
I wanted to arrange my single drawer and did my own investigation into bags. I found I had the perfect solution at home. We had traveled overseas last year and we purchased these travel pouches from Aldi for like $7.50 for a 3 pack(3 different sizes) and they absolutely work a treat. For my needs they do the job and super cheap. Yeah they may not last forever but for $7.50 I’ll run with them
Hack for the King's.... Or any draw bag. Line the bags with SKUBB from IKEA. Works especially good for the King's ones as it gives it rigidity as they're the perfect high for the zipper to close and also work brilliant as dividers
Spot on with the Drifta bags, i brought a fair few last year and found the exact same issue you have explained. Even got one of the copper rivet ones and same. Tried out Grab Me Gear based on the WA Camping and Adventures guys and they are so so much better. Unfortunately Grab Me Gear is not australian canvas but they are Australian made.
They were sold out for what seemed to be forever, but I finally ordered some Crashpods. Can’t wait to get them integrated into my system on out for the 22 camping season.

I will always try and support Aussie made products who also support / use Aussie materials, I do use the Drifta gear and yes the zips can be sticky but hey at least you know they will last. It'll be interesting to see how the zips in the others go over the journey once they get some dirt/sand or mud in them? Love your vids, keep up the great work and maybe once this shit storm blows over I'll see you out on the tracks somewhere👍🏻
Yeah drifta do some amazing things for Aussie family’s and that is an amazing thing. And from what I hear they do amazing things with there drawers and a few other products. I have a number of brand new drifta bags and they are of excellent quality imo. No such issues as you described. To be fair you are comparing new bags with your 2 year old Drifta. I'd say their quality may have improved since you purchased yours. Good to get your opinion on a variety of brands though.
Thanks buddy. I thought I did say in the vid they quality may have improved but I can only go off of what I have here. I was hoping they would of improved. Having said that. If you go through the comments you’ll see there’s a few ppl saying they have the same issues.
Good one. I've got numerous drifta bags. Agree on the zips and finish. Threads & material interfering with the zip.. Purchased to support local. Pretty disappointed given the price. Been running the kings bags (clear tops, toiletry bag, maxtrax bag) and to be honest they're functional and not totally horrible. Zips are not great but still not that different to drifta. When on special they're not a bad purchase. If I had my time again I'd certainly got the AOS or grabmegear.
They actually contacted me a few months back and sent me out some bags and they seem bloody good. I’m currently using one as Toby nappy changing bag 😂. Works a bloody treat.
Yeah sweet how goods that then! Overall they’re my favourite bag that I’ve found and researched. Aussie made with like 90% Aussie products etc. which is awesome. What size bag you using for that haha just the small? I’ve got a baby on the way and was thinking of doing the same
Appreciate a good honest review! I do really like Drifta and own those particular drawer bags, being a massive supporter of Australian made. However sort of wish I went with the Crasphad bags now despite not being a product of Chiiina, they do look like a good product.
Absolutely the crash pad bags are really good. Never said they were anything less then good just that they arnt Aussie made like they are made out to be. I’d still pick AOS or Kelmatt over any of the others and both Kelmatt and AOS are working on a padded side version like crashpad to ppl who want it. Good review. Was looking into these type of bags to go into my draws. I have a deep draw(450mm) which ones would you recommend for stacking on top of each other or would you not recommend that for any of these bags? Thanks
I don’t think I’d suggest stacking any of them. But prolly crashpad if I had to say one. Having said that. Aussie outback supplies is working on a padded side bag like crashpad yo holds its form a bit more.

Calling a brand crappy and carrying on is unnecessary and bad for the industry and I see you do this all the time. There is a place for most brands - not everyone wants to pay or can pay (especially young fella's staring out) $65 for a bag delivered. They can get 3 for less delivered from the one you recommended and they may just look after it more or they may be prepared to put up with a zip not quite as nice. You are providing great info and ideal for someone like myself who is going to use it almost every week end - everyone has a place in the market. Bagging a brand constantly and burning their sales and brand in the market just means prices will go up and quality in the market will go down as that competition is not there to even keep the expensive brands more honest. Believe me - I am and have been involved in top brands in another industry for 25+ years - I know. Let me also tell you - the expensive brands are usually the worst for honoring warranty - especially when there is no competition. I am also all for Australian Made and it is good that you make a point of this on each product. Keep in mind - several of those brands whilst made in china are still Australian Brands and the money still is spent here and still employs people here - they are not Chinese brands selling into Australia from overseas - which is the worst for our economy. Perhaps some "responsibility" should be taken into account before you bag brands (excuse my pun). But keep up the detailed reviews constructively on the product pro's and cons.
So you’re asking me to give a fake review just because it hurts someone? What about when someone buys something based on what I say and they realize themself that it’s a bad product and they then think I’m a wanker for lying to them. Sorry but I won’t lie to my subscribers just to keep a business happy. I’ve lost friends over it and been abused by componys because of it but the facts are the facts.
@@Australian4x4Adventures Let's not twist what I am saying - No Way have I suggested a fake review - Not at all - I am saying there is no need to call them crappy and bag them as a brand - I am just saying be constructive. a $20 product being compared to a $60 product is like comparing a Holden Commodore to a Ferrari, but comparing a Commodore to a Ford Falcon would be fair. They are not even close in price point and they hit a completely different market, so to wonder if there is a difference and complain about it when you are compering it to a product 3 times more expensive is not a fair comparison.
I did state fairly clearly that they were the cheapest by far and you get a lot of such a small amount of money. But I wasn’t comparing price, I was comparing a product designed for a particular purpose regardless of the price. I see what you are saying but that’s not the way I review stuff. Other wise I’d need to have different section to videos for different price brackets which isn’t viable. If they are putting their foot into a market then they will be need to be prepared to have ppl review the product. Good or bad.
@@Australian4x4Adventures I think you are taking my feedback the wrong way - as I said from the beginning "Calling a brand crappy and carrying on is unnecessary and bad for the industry" We all need brands like that to keep the more expensive brands honest or we all will be paying even more for expensive Chinese product with big brand names on it and the quality will drop even more with the price increase.
No I think I understand. Just because a product is cheap doesn’t mean it deserves any better treatment then a more expensive one and that applies the other way around as well. I haven’t always bagged out king’s product. If you want my inverter video review I actually really like that. I take a product on its quality regardless of price.
@@Australian4x4Adventures Steve, they have held up pretty well, got a fair bit of fraying in some parts. Zips are all still intact too. Although mine wouldn't get as much of a work out as most as the car they are in doesn't get used much. Still for their price they work.
Honest review. I try and support Aussie manufacturing, but I want quality so if it that comes from China so be it. When it comes to food, Aussie all the way.
Never realized Crashpad was made in china, sure enough just checked the bags I have from them and they are tagged as such. I also have a crashpad swag which i just unrolled and looked over but i couldn't find any tag for where it was made. Don't get me wrong, quality of their products is second to none in my experience, just always assumed they were aussie made. My mistake for making that assumption I guess.

No ones said anything nasty yet. All I done was give my experience with the product. And a few comments from ppl on this video show that some others have had the same experience. I couldn’t be much fairer.
Totally agree with your drifta bag review. I ended up buying the drifta stockon clear bags and honestly they are rubbish, made in china and plastic just gets caught in the zip everytime.
Made in China doesn't mean bad, they just like to make lots of cheap stuff, they can and do make expensive high quality products, nobody comes close to DJI for drones.
Feels like Drifta are losing their way a bit. Quality is definitely patchy, especially compared with their older stuff. Compared with others, their canvas is a lighter grade, albeit Australian made. I would avoid all of the 'Drifta Stockton' stuff - straight from China.
@@Australian4x4Adventures I feel for you! When NSW was locked down I went through all my camping gear, cleaned it and repacked it. Can't imagine how bad a 2nd lock down would be.

Respect
As long as we can afford it
How are you using the internet and commenting on a Aussie device?
I have been looking at the arb ones, but no one can give me info on them if they are worth getting
Didn’t even know ARB we’re making bags.
I’ll have to look into them
should add a link to each manufacturer
I meant to. Just never got around to it.
Will add them later today
Great job Steve, I brought some kings ones before a trip last year. Definitely in the market for some new ones soon
How have you found the King’s ones over a year? Have they listed?
@@Australian4x4Adventures Steve,
they have held up pretty well, got a fair bit of fraying in some parts. Zips are all still intact too.
Although mine wouldn't get as much of a work out as most as the car they are in doesn't get used much.
Still for their price they work.
Try Blacksmith bags
Never heard of them. I’ll look them up
Honest review. I try and support Aussie manufacturing, but I want quality so if it that comes from China so be it. When it comes to food, Aussie all the way.
I’d say the Aussie outback supplies bag is as good if not better then the Chinese bags. And cheaper 🤷🏿♂️
Love Aussie made gear.🇦🇺🇦🇺
Gotta help out our fellow Aussie where we can
Never realized Crashpad was made in china, sure enough just checked the bags I have from them and they are tagged as such. I also have a crashpad swag which i just unrolled and looked over but i couldn't find any tag for where it was made. Don't get me wrong, quality of their products is second to none in my experience, just always assumed they were aussie made. My mistake for making that assumption I guess.
Yeah a lot of ppl never knew it.
Not saying it as a bad thing. Just stating facts that’s all.
Great content again mate, if you want to offload the ones you don’t like, flick me a message with how much. Just starting out and can’t afford the good gear yet. Keep up the good work mate! 👍
Hey buddy.
Thanks for watching.
Happy to give ya the King’s one for nothing if you can pick it up.
I’ll still use the drifta ones but just in a less priority situation that’s all
Australian 4x4 Adventures na to the Kings one mate, don’t think it’s worth the drive from Wagga. 😂 thanks heaps for you work on the channel.👍looking forward to your next one. Just an idea if your open, I’m looking at a/t, r/t and m/t. Doubt I’d do m/t but maybe a vid on that could be good?
Great review on bags.. funny how opt for a premium bag but running the worst rear draw setup on the market..
You need to keep watching my channel and you’ll understand the drawers.
They’ve since been changed.
Need to hit up Jimmy from GrabMeGear. Made and developed here in WA. Drawer bags and other necessary items
Grab me gear is made by Aussie outback supplies. Which I had in the video.
Queue Luke and his drifta fanboys coming along to try and discredit you and ruin your reputation. Great video mate, I'm going to look into some crashpad and Aussie outback bags for sure.
No ones said anything nasty yet.
All I done was give my experience with the product. And a few comments from ppl on this video show that some others have had the same experience.
I couldn’t be much fairer.
Luke may have learnt from the backlash he got when he dumped on Patriot Campers a few years ago. Maybe...
@@drivingparadox or when he spat it at ronny dahl cause he gave a bad review on a camper trailer.
@@krump7429 oh I didn't know about that one.
Totally agree with your drifta bag review. I ended up buying the drifta stockon clear bags and honestly they are rubbish, made in china and plastic just gets caught in the zip everytime.
Crashpad are good but also made in China.
Look at the outback bags or even blacksmith bags in SA. Both Aussie made and great gear
Silicone spray for the zips.
I’ve tried that a few times. It’s more that the teeth are so big on the YKK zippers they get stuck a lot
Crashpad is best by far
They are a good product that’s for sure.
Just a shame about the place it’s made as it doesn’t really help Aussie out.
Almost!
Ok so crash pad bags are made in China does that mean they’re swags are made in China only asking as I watch an advert saying Australian made
I’m not 100% sure to be honest but I believe they are but happy to be corrected.
They get around it by saying Australian compony
Australian 4x4 Adventures yeah true but if your money goes out to another country it’s a sort of insult comparing to owned supplies and made
I’m not here to judge stuff like that. Just pointing out the facts to ppl and letting them make there own choice
Lol the Chinese one is so expensive because it’s being sold by an Australian company 😉
Very true. Too many ppl trying to make money out of it.
I don't think tobz is the baby great video so does it hold water lol
😂
Yes 😝
Cant believe nobody has said you stink yet, obviously haven't been on a trip with you.
😂. Can always count on you to come through with the goods 😝
Australian 4x4 Adventures love your work mate
Made in China doesn't mean bad, they just like to make lots of cheap stuff, they can and do make expensive high quality products, nobody comes close to DJI for drones.
Feels like Drifta are losing their way a bit. Quality is definitely patchy, especially compared with their older stuff.
Compared with others, their canvas is a lighter grade, albeit Australian made.
I would avoid all of the 'Drifta Stockton' stuff - straight from China.
Currently setting my draws up, Ill buy your Drifta ones if you want to offload cheap! - Pm me :p
😂. Knew someone would ask.
Nah I’m keeping them for tin food storage.
They are still a strong bag but could be better made that’s all
Doh. I bought all crash pad stuff recently thinking I was supporting Aussie made! 🤦♂️
They are still a good product. I can’t say they are not. But yes. China made.
I thought they were Australian too. Good to see where stuff is made so people can support the Australian economy and Australian jobs.
im batman
😂. Couldn’t help myself.
What’s with the mask mate, don’t think we can get it through the camera 🤣🤣
😂. Just wanted to show my mask off 😂
Australian 4x4 Adventures maybe start selling A4A branded ones 💪
Wife’s working on it 😝😂
Gees you must be bored in ISO 😀
Sooo bored. I even painted my driveway yesterday
@@Australian4x4Adventures I feel for you! When NSW was locked down I went through all my camping gear, cleaned it and repacked it. Can't imagine how bad a 2nd lock down would be.
Big plastic zips suck
Lol
