This moment was so iconic in the theater. The silence of the intro mixed with the sniffles from some of the audience members (myself included) was enough to make you wanna get up and hug somebody.
I was among them. 😢 It’s one of the most heartbreaking moments in the MCU. I couldn’t let go of my necklace that had a picture of my dad on it the whole time. 😭
This almost took me out in the beginning. The theatre was dead silent,..you could tell it was a hard moment for everyone. They addressed the elephant, that Chad is really gone
So, i watched Wakanda Forever in theatres, and you obviously had your die-hard marvel fans only in there. everyone was so excited, but when the movie started and this scene played, it went DEAD SILENT. by the one year later part, all you could hear was sniffling. multiple people were crying (including me) and we all just had an unspoken moment of silence. it was the saddest most powerful thing ive ever experienced marvel wise scince endgame and infinity war. Mat you rest in peace Chadick Noseman, the marvel fans' ONE true hero and king
I remember watching this scene in the theater with my brother. It wasn’t a crowded theater by any means, so we whispered about how sad the beginning of this movie was. When this part played, we were silent… after it ended I said “Wow.”
I love that no matter what Marvel Studios intro always ends with Chadwick ever since his passing. Shows how much they all respect his work, input and love him still. This movie was an amazing goodbye to his legacy. Just like his close ones struggle in the movie, fans around the world struggled with grief over his death. I believe the shooting must have been very hard and emotional for the cast.
That intro for sure did hit hard. Right after watching the ship fly away, complete silence in the room. Powerful move from Marvel. Still hurts no matter how many times I watch it.
People were cheering when the movie was about to start, but when this happened it went silent, then people started clapping cause of the tribute. Kudos to you, Marvel
I think it was because it was sudden. Stan’s was much more optimistic because of what he gave us to the world ( hence the thank you Stan paired with the theme) Stan was naturally optimistic as were his cameos so maybe they wanted to give him a heroic goodbye and thank you. But Chadwick was taken unexpectedly and the loss is felt. Hence the silence. He cannot be replaced. In this movie, it is about loss and how we mourn but still remember the memories that they gave us
@@Sarahonwheelsnot only that but given how old Stan lee was, I would say it was more expected from him but not from Chadwick. Had multiple cameos and starred in his own movie showcasing he was the best choice to play the character but sadly we couldn’t see him in what would’ve been a much more different movie if he had been here for it but sadly it couldn’t be
This made me sad watching this. I hope we get one for William hurt who played General Ross since the MCU started and for some reason is getting recasted by Harrison Ford after his death. I love Harrison but no
This was so classy by Marvel.
The most powerful Marvel Intro ever for me. No music, no voices. Just a breeze and Chadwick looking in my teary eyes.
Rest in Paradise King T‘Challa 🖤
Best intro ever
Yeah no music, plus they showed not just movie clips, but his real life clips as well, if you look closely.
May the Panther Goddess Bast watch over him.

When I went to watch the movie, I was sitting next to a male teen who was in tears when the logo came in. I offered him a tissue.
Every theater was the same I went here in Chicago was so quiet I real moment of silence for that man and my girlfriend was in tears
Same. It was a beautiful moment of silence.
This scene got me in the feels man. Was so powerful 😢
I can't explain why this hurts so much.
Mainly because Chadwick Passed away.
This almost took me out in the beginning. The theatre was dead silent,..you could tell it was a hard moment for everyone. They addressed the elephant, that Chad is really gone
Without a doubt one of the most honorable tributes to an actor I’ve ever seen. No music, just honoring their memory. High class.
Immediate tears in the theater. Still holding back tears just watching it now.
This intro brought the tears man. His loss was a tough one. Rest in Peace Chadwick ❤

The funeral scene I felt nothing. Maybe because I’m still thinking the “character” died. But this part right here, crushed me.
Just watched this tonight and oooohhhhhh the opening was so hard. This tribute intro could not have been more perfect. RIP to a true hero and legend.
The silence was deafening. Very powerful
not gonna lie this was the best scene in the movie by far
Man watching him come into his sisters room with that smile....lost a great one... a real life hero.
RIP
Best intro ever. Best part of the movie. Great way to praise an amazing man and beautiful human being
This gives me tears to this day RIP Black Panther
Beautiful gave me chills watching this in theaters
The silence in the theater along with this beautiful tribute was sooo moving. I will never forget it
Watching this movie for the 2nd time...couldn't get passed this intro.
My heart hurts.
I'm a teacher, he was role model for so many kids. 💔
The silence in the theatre was legendary never have I seen that before probably only at the ending of infinity war
This part always makes me cry- every time no matter how many times I’ve seen it
The tears were nonstop at this moment… that silence….
I remember seeing this , the entire theatre was as quiet as I’ve ever heard , we all gave respects
Great talented actor gone too soon🥺 RIP Chadwick Boseman🙏This was a very touching intro. He also played Jackie Robinson in 42.
"Take a shower with me Jackie"
This was the hardest for me to look at when the movie began. 😢
So hard.
Yeah the theater was so quiet out of respect for a great human being who is my belief was the real King 👑
2 legends
Stan and Chadwick rip
i don't know if anybody caught this, but at 18/19 seconds, there's a shot of chadwick boseman laughing with the director and some cast/crew members
Just saw that now
I started crying watching this amazing tribute. I hate cancer

Not an easy intro to get through. The respect they showed, it really mattered. Mmm.
I wonder if anyone noticed that little behind the scenes clip there at 0:19 ? A nice happy moment.
the silence in the theater sent a massive chill down the spine
the best movie intro. powerful
my theatre was so quiet. much love my guy. much love.
The most emotional movie opening ever. Theater went silent you could hear some people sniffles and crying. Rest in peace Chadwick
this was the moment i started to cry
We all did.
Best, respectful, and memorable intro. Such a great tribute intro
R.I.P King T’Challa 🙏🏻
Would say this is the most powerful and soul stirring intro !
I still can’t believe that he’s gone
I’ll be honest, I didn’t believe it at first when they announced his death. I thought it was a hoax
Waterworks when This came on. The absence of anything but wind was so powerful
Such a beautiful tribute! ❤

All hail the king!!!!!
Man when I tell you I was bawling! Sheesh

Wakanda…Forever…😞💜💜
I cried three times during this movie. This got me.
Best opening easily.
YIBAMBE!!! YIBAMBE!!!! YIMBAMBEEEE!!!!!!!🫡🫡🫡🫥
I still love that they will probably keep the shockwave at 0:28 in every subsequent Marvel intro forever.
In the theaters everyone went silent 😢rip my king
You felt this.
The eerie sad silence in the movie theater 😟😥😔😓😦
People were cheering when the movie was about to start, but when this happened it went silent, then people started clapping cause of the tribute. Kudos to you, Marvel
Not one dry eye in the entire theater including mine. Rest easy Chadwick, job well done
I cried like a baby.
You could hear a pen drop while it played, ive never experienced a movie, that the opening dialogue made me feel sorrow.
R.I.P Chadwick Aaron Bosseman 😭
(1979-2020)
Hail to the king!
I like how his Marvel Logo into has no music so people can think of him & his legacy.
Wakanda Forever.
Kids from the future will never understand what he meant to the world
That one time the theater went silent when marvel logo appeared!!!
Not gonna lie that howling wind sounds eerie af
Letitia Wright Lupita Nyong'o Danai Gurira Winston Duke Florence Kasumba Dominique Thorne Michaela Coel Mabel Cadena Tenoch Huerta Mejia Martin Freeman Julia Louis-Dreyfus Angela Bassett Director Ryan Coogler
its that breeze that got me
Yeah, this one really got to me.
Wakanda Forever!!
This made me unspeakably sad. I was not expecting it.
God bless Chadwick
Wakanda Forever, Chadwick Boseman!
Chadwick entering heavens gate as Stan Lee is waiting for him
Stan Lee: welcome home son
😭🙏💙
Well done.
This makes me sad 😢
supposed that will be a trend now. first stan lee, now this
One year ago…
Does anyone know what editing software they used to make this ?
He may be gone but he will always be The Black Panther
Wakanda Forever!
Why do the good die young?
This was the only thing worth in the movie
I’m watching this because my mom couldn’t breath because she didnt have her enhailer
After seeing the Stan Lee version, I kinda expected this
So how come this intro was kept silent but the Stan Lee one at the beginning of Captain Marvel still had the music?

Only to happen if we got a ThunderBolt series or movie.
