[HD Audio POV] BMW M2 w/ M4 CS Software.

I see a lot of you guys are asking about the M2 sound for your M240i cars. I recorded a tutorial for uploading M240i audio amp firmware onto my M2 to show that it is an easy and universal process. But I'm sick and it sounds like I'm choking on a hotdog perpetually. 💀
I picked up some wireless 32bit float mics and placed them in the trunk and engine bay, and went out on a test drive. The B58 fake engine noise on an S58 actually didn't sound that bad! I loathed how the factory fake engine noise sounded when I had my M240i XDrive. I was a bit shocked. I normally always code fake burbles out of the audio amp but on the M240i firmware they're much slower and don't sound bad.
BUT THEN Just for the hell of it, I remembered in one of Misha's videos (I think an X3 M?) I noticed that it sounded distinctly different from my M2. So I figured why not try and upload the M4 CS firmware on my M2? I just used the config files I generated for flashing my transmission and off I went.
Immediately, as soon as I started the car, I realized how different it was. The M4 CS fake engine sound produces chords that are far higher ranging than the standard S58 engine sound. It is addicting.
AND YES - YOU CAN DO IT TOO! This firmware is from an iDrive8.5 M4 CS and I have an iDrive8 M2. You might even be able to use it on an iDrive7 car but I wouldn't count on it. Year doesn't matter; model/engine doesn't matter. You can have this on your 230i, 330i, M340i, hell I might even try flashing the M8 Competition audio firmware just to see how it sounds.
I have the footage and screen captures for how to do this conversion, I just need to stitch everything together. All in all it took about 4 hours of video but the process is much quicker. I had to re-learn a few things lol. Expect it real soon - I just need to get over this cough and maybe re-dub some of the audio. Cheers!

@@Tibialstone7 Gonna try for this weekend. I've been sick as hell. But I filmed M240i, M2, M3 CSL, M3 CS, and M4 CS sounds with two lav mics and also recorded the screen while flashing it.
Have a combined total of like 6 hours of video and audio to sort thru.
