"These are my church clothes" patch has a greater meaning than was mentioned here. Many 1% clubs refer to attending their club meetings as going to "church" and some members MAY take offense if you're wearing that patch and aren't a club member. It'll probably depend somewhat upon a combination of your attitude and theirs at the moment. A little respect goes a long way toward keeping the peace.
Or put in another way a lot of insecure people trying to fit in somewhere. The generic "tell them that to their face response" is expected but gang members lack what is taken for granted in normal society so they join a gang to compensate for what is missing.
I'm part of a big local music scene community (hardcore punk) that looks out for each other and have done lots of fundraisers. We lost a friend in a hit and run, he helped out alot with our little community. So one of my buddies made t-shirts for anyone who went to benefit show. Couple biker friends turned them into patches for their vests, was cool to see.
13 is considered bad luck (especially Friday the 13th) because on the morning of Friday, October 13, 1307, 600 knights of the Knights Templars were arrested by King Philip IV of France. Their property and wealth was confiscated, they confessed crimes under torture and most were executed or imprisoned. They were so powerful and their downfall was so astonishing that 13 remains “bad luck” to this day.
@@jonsmith3901 At 7:23 the video poster says “I don’t know why the number 13 is bad luck...” My comment was an answer to that question. A review of the historicity and significance of the number 13 (especially Friday the 13th), why its considered “bad luck” and was perfectly appropriate in response to the video. Maybe you should learn to listen, it’ll keep you from posting replies that make you look like a schmuck.

The badge I have on my cut that gets the most love and comments is "BEER IS FOOD". I wear it on my right side under my pocket. Always a pleaser when having a stopover for a burger and a beer while out on a ride.
Sound sensable advice. I dont wear many badges, because, after 55yrs riding if I wore all the pins and badges that have collected, I would have to be lifted on to the bike. I stuck them on a display board in the workshop.
I have nothing on the back wanna get a small Sweden flag 🇸🇪 patch to put at the top back on my leather vest. I have few patches on front from video games actually I made sure before I put them on though but is all cool
I was a member of IRON MAIDEN MCC. South Africa for 20 years, and when I left, I was forced to hand back my Back patch. I asked if I could keep it as a keep sake, but I will never wear it. As a member you have to earn it. It basically took 2 years to earn my patch, and you have to keep earning it to keep it, and our club was quite relaxed, others are NOT!

I want to get an Air Force seal and a veteran top rocker. I was going to get an Air Force bottom rocker but there's a local 1% club and a couple others that ride through from time to time that I don't want to get mixed up in something so I think I'll leave it off.
The very first heavy rock band I got into was a UK band called Motorhead.. It was seeing their early vids showing big motorcycles that got me into bikes.. I love the bands logo and have this logo on a old denim cut/vest with the top rocker being the bands name 'Motorhead' but I didn't add the bottom rocker that said 'England' because I felt like it looked to much like a clubs cut. How do you think a club would react to it? I would love to remove it and put it on my new denim cut but with a good few more band patches covering the back of the cut.. like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath ect. The front of my cut as a number of pins.
I used to wear all kinds of Harley patches and HOG patches and pins on my vests, now I don't anymore...guess I grew out of it and I'm not even sure if that's the right way to explain it.

One question people ask is if it's okay for a non biker to wear a plain denim vest. I'm not a rider but I have this hoodie that is attached to a denim vest amd some guys give me dirty glares when I wear it.
I have a rockabilly band denim jacket with a quote on quote top and bottom rocker with logo in the middle (all of it is completely painted on the jacket) Top rocker says “the Delta” bottom rocker says “bombers” with a skull logo. Is that an issue? I don’t even ride I just ask out of curiosity
I do have a SOA Jacket that has the top rocker and the reaper. I got it from my brother for Christmas. I have only wore it out handing candy to the children on Halloween. We did have 6 guys riding Harleys that had the vest with the three piece patch set and mc on the back. In Facebook groups for SOA and Mayans there's always someone who wants to know where they can buy the Patch Sets. I always tell them bad idea. Some listen, some tell me to F Off. This was a very interesting subject Itchymoche.
Remember that the patches are a way to show who you are. I had someone who didn't ride ask me if we are trying to show our individuality, why do we all wear the same patches? There must be a "biker patch starter pack". I've also been told by a police officer (I spent 18 years in emergency services) that trying to act and look tough, could tend to change the way they (police) will deal with you an emergency situation. Think about these things.
Itchymoche, I saw a patch I like, it’s a skull on a Canadian Flag that says Live Free or Die in ribbons above and below the skull. I do believe in the F.T.W. acronym. Continued prayers for Vee n You.
Awesome Thanks for this info, is the word Harley Davidson (top rocker) patch with the word Motorcycles (bottom rocker) patch with the HOG center patch okay to wear?
You should be okay, but any time you display a top and bottom rocker it mimics an organized MC club patch. It depends where your riding, but there's probably a 2% chance someone won't like it..
FYI,,, an upside down flag is not non patriotic,,,, the upside down flag indicates distress.. those who wear it that way are indicating the belief that the country is in distress..
Fellas, need some advice. My dad did lots of research into what patches he can and can't wear. As well as what is offensive to MC clubs/gangs. He bought a new leather cut and sewed on his patches. Top & Bottom rockers saying "Honda Rebel" with a center patch with the logo of the rebel alliance from star wars. And the front has various in-offensive patches. One of a heart rate monitor with a bike as the heart beat, one for the county he was born in, one for the county he was raised in, ect. While we were both out riding a member of a local gang pulled up to us and shouted at my dad "I see you wearing those colours again we'll strip them from you!" he was a very aggressive man. Was that a justified reaction or is my dad in the wrong?
Never had an issue with my rockers. But then again it says “United States Marine Corps” so there is that. 😁 The only time someone said something it was just a simple misunderstanding. I have a 1st division symbol that is a 1 in a diamond and thought it was a fake 1% thing. I straightened them out real quick.
Itchy, One patch and its the most important for motorcyclists , is the AMA American Motorcycle Association patch. I cant remember ever seeing one on a H/D riders jacket. Why do you think that is. All the best to you and VEE.
FUBAR I believe came from Vietnam (or maybe WWII. I'm not sure). It was related to injuries sustained in a battle. later it began to be used to describe an event, procedure, or what have you.

I'd recommend not going too strongly on what one person said. Best bet is to not have any kind of club-style patch. Personally, if I saw someone with a patch like that, that wasn't in an MC, I'd have a problem with it.

What if I wear a battle vest from metal and punk shoes I go to? The back is a big Ramones logo with a Motörhead iron cross above it. Would I get pressed for that? No rockers unless you count the big RAMONES at the top and of course no territory or bottom rocker at all and no mc patch on the front though there’s a curved cursive California patch but it’s just written like it is on a license plate and it’s not positioned like a club rank or anything
I don't Ride in a Club , But I do wear patches. On my jacket I have a large Bar and Shield HD logo . Nothing else on the back of it and the front I have a small HD logo and 2 hard rock Cafe pins one from Edinbrugh and one from Pattaya. The reason for the HD patch is cos I managed to eventually buy a HD motorcycle completely custom ( dream come true for me and very proud of it ). As for my vest I have a lot of Flag patches on them of places I have travelled to in my life. The vest is valuable to me and me only cos if I have not been to a place the patch doesn't go on. Not all of them are flags but will state their a place of the Country I had been to.

A little respect goes a long way toward keeping the peace.
Or put in another way a lot of insecure people trying to fit in somewhere. The generic "tell them that to their face response" is expected but gang members lack what is taken for granted in normal society so they join a gang to compensate for what is missing.
@@tomakafrankconlon3207 motorcycle Clubs are NOT gangs, they are clubs and take extreme offense being referred to as gangs.
@@tomakafrankconlon3207 Gang? That was a mistake.
@@TheVRreaper if a club sells drugs and is known for violence and murder they are a gang no matter how much they contest the point.
The flag being upside down means the country is in distress
To be fair the country really is in distress.
It means that place is in distress.
England flag upside down looks the same
I tell you one thing here where I live at they been 2 mc clubs here now there is a 3rd one its ok for now but we all know all hell about to break out
I'm part of a big local music scene community (hardcore punk) that looks out for each other and have done lots of fundraisers.

If you have it or wear it on a bike it has nothing to do with the templars or anything this guy said
@@jonsmith3901 At 7:23 the video poster says “I don’t know why the number 13 is bad luck...” My comment was an answer to that question. A review of the historicity and significance of the number 13 (especially Friday the 13th), why its considered “bad luck” and was perfectly appropriate in response to the video. Maybe you should learn to listen, it’ll keep you from posting replies that make you look like a schmuck.
Wow, the internet one of these days is going to be almost entirely a bunch of arguments between one side that knows something and another side who didn’t get hugs when they were growing up. Then the web 1%ers will be the badasses who think before they say shit! 😆
Thank you sir
The badge I have on my cut that gets the most love and comments is "BEER IS FOOD". I wear it on my right side under my pocket. Always a pleaser when having a stopover for a burger and a beer while out on a ride.
I like that.

This is the best explanation of wearing patches I’ve seen. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
The only patches I wear are rock band logo patches
Nothing to do with any club affiliation whether if it’s a MCC or Metal Club
I was a member of IRON MAIDEN MCC. South Africa for 20 years, and when I left, I was forced to hand back my Back patch. I asked if I could keep it as a keep sake, but I will never wear it. As a member you have to earn it. It basically took 2 years to earn my patch, and you have to keep earning it to keep it, and our club was quite relaxed, others are NOT!
Same with Sons of Joburg MC
It's harder to keep it than it is to get it!!
I just have two small patches on my vest. One is a three inch Harley bar & shield, and the other says "Bitch, I'm from Cleveland". Saw you on rt. 42 a while back, take care of that wonderful wife you are blessed with. Strick.......
Good to hear from you Strick.
Here’s a good one. What about band battle vest? A vest with band patches.
The motorcycle culture is a whole other story.
NO PATCHES, NO PROBLEMS
That should be a patch. Haha!!
I personally think clubs riding down the road are BEAUTIFUL ❤
But what about the live to ride mc in brasil. Would they have a problem with the bald eagle patch?
I have a top rocker that is a music label on it but no bottom or back patch. Would that be ok?
I don't think anyone would give you grief about that.
One of my patches says I Googled my symptoms turns out I just need to go riding. The other one says I'm sick and tired of this government telling me how to live my life. I've always gone by only where what you can back up. Keep the shiny side up
Right now I am just saving up for a bike. So I am not in place to even think about this now. However I will keep note of this for future reference.
I want to get an Air Force seal and a veteran top rocker. I was going to get an Air Force bottom rocker but there's a local 1% club and a couple others that ride through from time to time that I don't want to get mixed up in something so I think I'll leave it off.
Could be wrong, but I don't think law enforcement and military riding clubs have the same issues
You can share any patch you want
Never heard of sharing patches Jaman.
@@itchymoche sorry itchy meant whare any patch. Lol good stuff man.
Yeah try that
The very first heavy rock band I got into was a UK band called Motorhead..
Not an issue. It's not biker MC related.
@@itchymoche Thanks Itchy puts my mind at rest knowing I'm not being disrespectful to any clubs.
Just su subscribed, enjoyed your channel. I am from London England
You a SUCH a NICE GUY!!! Ever ride with a club? Just curious cuz you're so nice.
I have ridden with a few. I was full patched Rolling Thunder for many years.
I used to wear all kinds of Harley patches and HOG patches and pins on my vests, now I don't anymore...guess I grew out of it and I'm not even sure if that's the right way to explain it.
I totally understand. With ya on that one.
boomer21, My exgirlfriend is dating a Biker. She told me he's in two M.C.s. She sent me a photo. She's decked in fully Harley from her Helmet to her boots. She wears a Harley Jacket as well. When she was with me she forbade me from riding.
Good information for those who don't know. I hear a lot of young folks saying "I wear what I want" and yes you can. You can ware a Hells Angels patch and rocker they sell them on E-Bay. However, I pity you if they catch you in it.. I don't ware anything on my jacket because I don't care what others think of me or what I like or don't but it's fine if you do. No judgement. Peace Itchy. Hi Vee miss seeing you.
Hi Jeff!
Make you 100% right itchy I am in a Brotherhood done my prospecting I earned my patch will my colours with pride love and respect to you and your good lady Paul South East London
I was a Union Firefighter , retired now. (IAFF Motorcycle Group) The Patch had a Rocker and emblem on the back. I still wear it from time to time. Thoughts ? I'm no longer a Union Member...

You can wear anything, as long as it's not tied to a club... or anything that Mr. Smith, and Mr. Wesson said you could...
Would it be OK if I completely covered my vest with "FJB" patches?
I wear a red fox patch on the lapel of my leather jacket as i use to rehab red foxes.
I am also an Army veteran from wayyy back and it pisses me off when people pretend that they served...myself and a lot of my family served..or is still in...
When the Navy SEALS got Bin Laden two guys in my gym became Navy SEALS overnight. Yes, stolen valor is everywhere and it exists on cuts as well.

@@lloydclement2152 Is it justified to wear an army patch that was given to you by family. (Family served in that war)

Good video. Nothing wrong with displaying patches of things you are proud of, enjoy or support.
Ed big daddy Roth creator of Rat Fink used a lot of iron crosses during the sixties, there was a big cross over with custom culture , surfing and hotrods. He even made a plastic german ww2 helmet you could buy. Ed Roth had lots of tongue in cheek patches in diamond shape Theres one that says 69%er.
I have most of these patches on my cut already, no worries bro,,,🙊🙉🙈
AT 7:43 YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THE MORE SERIOUS MEANING OF A 13 IT'S THE NUMBER SOUTHSIDE MEXICANS USE OR 13 LETTER OF THE ALPHABET M MEXICAN

Pretty cool. You should do a video on the correct way to put your patches on.
RIGHT ON! Thank you for making this content specific video. Too many people out there not giving two sh*** what they put on their leathers. You ask them if they looked into certain patches first and they shrug. K... I will be shrugging when your disregarding ignorance is "informed".
I appreciate that
One question people ask is if it's okay for a non biker to wear a plain denim vest.
I'm not a rider but I have this hoodie that is attached to a denim vest amd some guys give me dirty glares when I wear it.
If you’re not flying a rocker on it, I can’t see a problem.
I was proud to serve my country and freedom now I look out for me and my family..
Not an issue at all.
You know last time I checked this is still America! Wear what you've earned!

Glad you enjoyed it
Girl scout patch video brought me here ;)
You chasin little girls?
did you earn that cookie badge?
This video is awesome thank you so much man, you really welcome new riders and you’re straight forward.. much obliged
Riding since 1957. Patches are for the mentally inadequate IMHO
Love it
Remember that the patches are a way to show who you are.
I believe in the FTG acronym... G for government!
HARMS!!!!!
@@itchymoche Thank you!
Well it sounds like an asshole just threatened someone over something not in the slightest gang related.
He was stating a territory on his cut. Clubs are extremely territorial.
@@itchymoche So remove the territory patches and he's okay to wear it again?
@@itchymoche Did the comment say there was a location? No it simply said Honda Rebel don't defend assholes
That's my suggestion.
Never had an issue with my rockers. But then again it says “United States Marine Corps” so there is that. 😁
The only time someone said something it was just a simple misunderstanding. I have a 1st division symbol that is a 1 in a diamond and thought it was a fake 1% thing. I straightened them out real quick.
So .if I got huge resect for vets , specially for person who die or was Mia ,can I wear the POW patch ?or not?I'm not veteran, just respecting them.
Not a problem at all
Itchy, One patch and its the most important for motorcyclists , is the AMA American Motorcycle Association patch. I cant remember ever seeing one on a H/D riders jacket. Why do you think that is. I lost a nice jacket with that patch, bloody jacket blew of the back of the bike going down I 271 on the way to work, never saw that jacket again, someone got a $300 jacket for free. All the best to you and VEE.
Ouch. That was a bad day. Best to you George.
Becuz no one likes totalitarians and that is what the AMA is. A lot of guys wear them upside down.
FUBAR I believe came from Vietnam (or maybe WWII. I'm not sure). It was related to injuries sustained in a battle.
later it began to be used to describe an event, procedure, or what have you.
Correct way before Vietnam though.
Patches are for middle school girl scouts.
Very informative, well done sir you explained that in an easy to understand way thank you
Have you ever seen a 99 %er patch? I don’t have a vest but I do have a cigar box full of patches, mostly military either worn or traded for in a combat zone there are some LOE patches also so as a veteran I would wear those patches because that’s part of my history correct?
13 actually represent the 13 first clubs that broke away from the AMA events. It would be the early 1% patch.
No three piece patches, i have a side rocker on my cma vest, i asked a 1%er in my area if they thought it was ok they said sure, as long as it doesnt have a territory or mc name. if you live in a 1% area just go and ask them, i did. just ask so theres no issues
I'd recommend not going too strongly on what one person said. Best bet is to not have any kind of club-style patch. Personally, if I saw someone with a patch like that, that wasn't in an MC, I'd have a problem with it.
@@ksaunders665 i make sure to always respect the rules of 1% mcs. in my area it is a 1% area, i run into the 1% mc all the time on road runs and such, their vp is a family friend, i go up to them and chat, if they ever had an issue with it id remove it respectfully.
I'm pretty sure this is a USA thing. anyone know if this type of tHing exists in the UK?
I'm sure it does.
What's up Itchy. Love you bro.
Rock on
I don't Ride in a Club , But I do wear patches.
Like the RV ( recreational vehicles) people display all the states they have been to. & People bring me back H-D t shirts from there Vacation I don’t wear them but to work in .
I woke up broke sticky and confused now I've earned that one
lower front pocket is where this patch is
