Lots of military patches(earned) on my gear. Had an HA prospect ask about why I had a specific diamond patch and his Brother pointed out it was a First Marine Division patch that had 0 to do with the culture. Bought the Brother a beer and told some "No shit there we were" stories about our separate military service. But all in all, good advice. If you don't earn it, don't wear it.
I was legitimately just thinking about this very patch from the Corps. I’ve earned it and was wondering how that would go down since it’s a diamond and has a 1 in it. I don’t wear a cut, nor will I ever, but definitely earned that patch while in the Corps. Either way, thanks for your service Marty.
Marty McLean people should really know their histories of the world of bikers it has everything to do with bikers the five founding fathers of the nomads were Marines the founding fathers of all doctor clubs were veterans bikers 1 percenters veterans military hells Angels where the fighting squads in airplanes the Marines were the messengers on the Harleys road Bass road hard and rode through the worst of it carrying messages back and forth they come home and expect them to settle down in a normal life and it doesn't happen so they formed biker clubs to regain what they want loved and knew bikers weren't formed to be outlaws and and visual aunties but you can't create machines like that and expect them to go back to normalcy either know your histories world war I world war II Vietnam Korea Okinawa your Gulf wars your Afghanistan and Operation desert Storm all of us that stood to fight for these freedoms in this country and a lot of us fell we stand together on other foreign shores fighting for what's right and will stand together on home shores fighting for what's right
Damn right!! You didnt earn then you so not fucking wear it!! I learned that in the Marine Corps, about my 2nd week into Bootcamp! It is a simple concept but too damn people just wanna ride off rep bought in blood by the Pride! Semper Fi Killer
I have been riding for sixty years, never belonged to a club. Kids get bikes with out any understanding of club etiquette and think patching just looks cool and carries no responsibility or code of conduct. Dissemination of Information is valuable. Thank you.
i respect bikers! 2 Hell's Angels saved my life when i was 5 yrs old! the used to give me rides and i got to where a cut from the Hell's Angels! it was huge on me but i was 5 and it was a great experience and that was 42 yrs ago!
Greyman concept vs rolling hot. You only roll hot if you have a crew, otherwise you draw heat. Overt vs Covert. I've got no connection to biker culture, but this is how LEO/MIL & private security etc does it.
I am not part of the culture, but alot of this is just common sense. I am a vet and I appreciate you mentioning military patches. Sadly " stolen valor " has become a problem. I really liked your words on the subject and I imagine they can be applied to the biker culture to. " If ya ain't done your time.. ". All said, I really enjoyed your video. Thanks.
@Randall Tyer Cops and Military are directly responsible for the chaos we're living in today. Politicians just write up the atrocities but cops and military order followers are the ones actually causing the pain and suffering. You will bear the karma associated with it. You are not brave. You are brainwashed. I am former military myself. Peace.
Yeah dude first thing I thought of is "stolen valor" It's the same type of idiot loser who would act like they are a 1 percenter who would act like they were a Green Beret Edit: and thank you for you service
Got ya, Brother! Best tour in Iraq I had was when my Army 5/7 Cav squadron was attached to 2nd MEF to clean up Anbar Province! Loved celebrating the USMC B-Day, had 2 cans of Guinness in the middle of Baharia! Life was great! Semper Fi! Rock of the Marne!
I grew up in San Diego. I'm a surfer, my brother, a biker. I respect him and the culture. I just didn't know much. Thank you Ghost for helping me understand stuff no one else told me.
I agree. I will say that most MCs will vet fairly thoroughly. They are going to take into account tattoos and placement. Heaven forbid that you have contradictory tattoos. Tattoos are also big in telling a story, there are a lot of tattoos that aren't very well documented that will immediately explain your status, who you are, what you have done, and who you represent
What gets me , is the EDL , and political morons wearing patches and attire associated with Templers...and they are NOT inducted into any templer order...This is why some folk equate templer to racist etc...which is untrue ...A templer has studied their own temples first and foremost ( the temple being oneself) ..... Absolutely nothing to do with politics.
Being a combat vet its always fun to run into 1%ers because they're prob one of the few groups outside the military that actually understand respect and how you carry yourself. Always got along with em when we've crossed paths. I just run a few of my old unit patches and like to ride, never had any trouble. But yeah. If I catch somebody running that shit who didn't earn it I'll just laugh at em. But some guys might see you rolling with unit patches when you never served as an invitation to knock your teeth out. I reckon the diamond patches are about the same thing.
It is man- I live in SF Bay and most dudes here are pussies. The only folks I really get along with are club members. It is a good thing to be around them.
Nothing cringier than reading these comments 😂. I’m a huge fat fuck who wears patches for fun. Never got into trouble by any gang lol. Just do what makes you happy and ride
Reminds me of my dad. He was a Vietnam vet and I grew up around his biker buddies since hed been part of a local club just called the "Vietnam vets MC" and they were loosely allied with the Gypsy Jokers. The vet club was small but the other clubs mostly respected them since the other 1%ers had alot in common with them. Theres a surprising amount that bikers and veterans have in common: sense of brotherhood, duty, and honor are all common ideals in both and both groups hate "stolen valor" when people wear badges and patches that they didnt earn
I ride with a military group so thanks for throwing military patches in there. See it all the time and when find out they didn’t serve just shake my head and walk away. 16 yrs of service to this country and two tours. I definitely earned mine. Peace
Ty for your service, I do know a person that wears a patch Vietnam her daddy served and died there he was a marine with my dad and she has the date under the patch she has been asked about it before and she'll tell ya my dad served and died this is my way of keeping his memory alive
@@helencorreia9801 thank your dad and tell him welcome home. Tell your friend to wear that patch proudly. He is a true hero and would be proud to call both of your fathers brothers. My dad and several other older family members are also Vietnam vets.
It would depend on what they are wearing. I am not a 1%er. Would never be in an MC. I am a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse. I'm also a retired Marine, so it will take me 10 seconds to pick up if they are posers, prior service or showing respect. The last 2 I respect, the poser I'll call out. Just like if I went to Wish and bought a HA fake cut. It would take any 1%er 10 seconds to figure me out. I don't pretend to be what I'm not, hence why I have never had an issue with any MC. I love to ride and helping children. I retired early and this is my way of giving back. The problem with posers of any kind, they get put together really fast. Only diamond I wear is First Marine Division. Earned it, proud of it and all my combat tours where with 1st Mar Div
@@michaelconran5252 if you wear military patches aswell it makes you a target for the idiots . in england your told not to do this if you X armed forces. or serving .
Been out of the life for a little while now...But when we came in, BFMC took us in, went to bat for us and helped guide us into the life. One of the first things we were told was under no circumstances do you wear any diamond patch unless you are prepared to accept the consequences of that choice.....That was some real talk....ignorance may help you out of a ticket, but the US is littered with eye-dots from people who thought they would be cool and throw on a certain patch.
I came across this channel and I first want to thank you . I am a Vietnam vet so I've been riding for a long time and one thing I've learned as far as clubs is that if you show and give respect you will receive respect. I do wear patches of my service and I have never had any problems. I attend bike week in Laconia in New Hampshire and a 6 of us vets attend Rolling Thunder on Memorial Day in D.C. I have been into a bar that was the bar of a certain club and after introducing myself and asking if I would be able to have a beer or two. This was done only out of respect . I think that MCs get a bad reputation and I was surprised that many were also vets. As I said respect is important. Our motto is THIS THING WE DO SO OTHERS MAY LIVE.
The clubs started with the vets returning from WW2. They could buy surplus bikes on the cheap. Looked for camaraderie and an adrenaline Rush every once in a while. Thank you for your service.
It’s awesome that’s your putting all this out there for the masses... Ignorance isn’t considered an excuse in most biker circles. So much appreciated!!!
Preach brother! You're saving lives right now. Keep the information rollen. And thank you for taking a stand for our soldiers. Those patches are reserved for those who served and fought for our country. Much respect! 🇺🇸
@@DemonsRowthat SOA T-Shirt at 08:55 is fake. Real ones don't have a bottom rocker, so that fans of the show don't run into problems with MC members who haven't seen the series and think they're trying to claim territory.
I really appreciate the knowledge you drop brother. Thank you for addressing this issue, especially the military patches. I bring that up specifically because that hits closest to home for me. It drives vets crazy to see people wearing shit they didn’t earn. Respect bro 👊🏽
This is where the term if you don’t earn it don’t wear it. People start just throwing all these patches they buy on their cut and then wonder why they get messed with
I have to ask then. I wanted to honor a friend that has passed away and his service. How could one go about doing so? That is respectful and heartfelt.

GREAT VIDEO! Riders should take note. Lone wolf here who’s ridden with friends in several clubs. Was told many years ago not to wear anything at all unless you’re an official prospect. I was already tatted up way before it was fashionable and that was enough “decoration”. Saw the clubs I rode with take great umbrage seeing anyone patched with even innocent stuff. Just don’t put anything on your back.
I love riding my 2003 HD Road King. I’m a Military Veteran and wear Army Vet patches on my Jean vest. On the back of my vest is a Harley Davidson patch! I respect all fellow motorcycle riders and only wear patches that I’m allowed to wear! Thank you very much for this video! It’s extremely informative!

We just purchased used Harleys and are learning so much from videos like this of what not to do. We just want to ride together my son and I and enjoy life and a father son bond. Thanks for being real and giving real life advice!
I'm a 30yr old biker newbie. I just got my motorcycle license this month and am brand new to riding. Despite my inexperience "on 2's" I have always been fascinated with biker culture, specifically the 1% clubs. In the neighborhood I grew up in I saw Outlaws MC members on the roads daily and it definitely had an effect on me and my perception of what cool and tough looked like. Now that I will finally be on the road with a Harley of my own, I do have some anxieties about potential encounters with club members due to there intimidating reputation that's portrayed in the media. I'm so happy there's a channel on here that really spoon feeds this culture to those like me who need to learn a lot very quickly. I think in the span of a week I have watched almost every video on your channel and I solemnly believe that all the things you've tought me through your videos will be the reason I hopefully don't get beat up in the future lol (sorry for the long winded mssg, I just wanted to express that)
You are the reason i started this channel. Growing up in gangs i always learned the hard way. I never understood why. Its so i could tell you and others how not to do what i did. Much love
Advice from an old crusty, just wait til your mid fifties an you can't hold a bike up anymore cos of arthritis from old breaks or parkinsons...... remember back to this time of your life and ride safe, just remember if you love bikes find an mc that loves bikes. AOA or HA didn't start intending to be an organised crime club.......it's about the bikes and the freedom, can't ride in jail.
Thank you for this information, it answered what I wanted to know, and as a soldier, thank you for your support for the military, I greatly appreciate it.
Sose , you need to do a bigger show with the patches... so many people don’t understand it. You could do a 10 part on that.. loved the info bro.. very helpful..
I can sum it up in just a few words for idiots that try to act like teal bikers that live the lifestyle and have earned their full patch! You get caught by the 1% club that operates out of an area, wearing their colors/patch or any part of it, trying to pose as a club member, you will be beat down by every club member present and what you are wearing will be cut off of you and your motorcycle , if you are riding one, will be destroyed and if it is a Harley, probably taken from you! If anyone wants to join a club, the first thing to do is ride a Harley, go up to a club member and tell them you are interested in becoming a member of their club! Then read the club rules to see if they will let you join . If you get past the application , you become a hang a round and fo errands, , ride with the club to events and just hang around the club house and basically become free labor! Then when they see you are faithful to the club they will give you a prospect patch and then you do everything they tell you to do . You will be a prospect until the president and your sponsor think it is time to give you a full patch! You earn the 1% diamond when you do something which is a felony that the club asks you to do ! Once you get that 1% er patch, you are in the club for life and that means you will do anything the club wants you to do! It is a rough and tough life style and if you just want a patch and ride around on your honda gold wing, you better join a local biker group and stay away from the real hard core biker clubd!
I just found your channel. I'm retired military (21 yrs). Loved the video and taking your knowledge to help ppl understand everything you talk about. Keep up the great work!
I have a American flag on the back of my vest my dad and brother are clubbers and always told me if you put something on your make sure you are willing to die for it. Much respect as always
@@MrMann-gt1eh Willing to die for your country is bullshit. If somone has a sword on your head and tell you : Spit on your flag and you are free, or if you dont i decapture your head you spit. Fighting a war and die during a fight its different. But thats not willingly.
“I would never want to be part of a Club that would have someone like me for a member”. But in all seriousness, I ride wearing clothing to be seen to avoid getting hit by cars. I we are a Perry the Platypus hoodie and silver Elvis glasses. People usually see me. Sometimes even laugh, but that means they still see me.
Lol I'm a new driver and i always wanted a motorcycle but since i got my car i noticed that motorcycles are pretty hard 2 see at night I had 2 hit my brakes pretty hard a couple times be careful out there .
I appreciate the video y'all. As a solo rider I have NEVER thought it was a good idea to wear patches or a cut. Glad to see my intuition was correct. :)
I wear full leathers and have some patches but I'm not in a club. They are esoteric symbols so if anyone says anything about them they should learn :) Crows, death, rebirth, etc. It looks so silly nobody would take me serious for an old time biker (not that I have any issue with bikers, they are actually pretty good dudes) but it's just not what I'm going for. I'm not a badass and I'm not gonna dress like one lol
Brother I don’t care what anyone has to say about anything you say I just want you to I appreciate the information you gave to the people that don’t understand the life style

Now I have 4 word patches, “ClemZen” “Meech” (nicknames) on the left and “Epona” “rider” to the right . I also have a big and bold “NO Club” patch on the top right of the vest . I probably wore it twice . Zelda fans recognized the Zelda patches thought it was awesome. An outlaw approached me to look at my vest , made sure I didn’t have no crazy patches . Check the back of the vest , had nothing on the back. We talked for like 15 mins he’s a cool dude . He talked to me about his supporter club if I was interested in joining . Cool experience
#GHOSTIN I'm glad you're teaching the uninformed about the culture. Anyone that watches and is new to this life, can now make a choice. It's their choice, but they have to live with it and the HEAVY responsibilities that come with that choice. I agree, wear no patches unless you're ready to patch up. If a person wants to be bonafide, then be bonafide. Much RESPECT to ya Sose!
I don’t have a patch don’t need one I know who I’m waiting for if they come, I’m riding! Ghostin is the way! Snakes everywhere, Copperheads, Cottenmouths , and them Rattle Snakes!
My patch is 4X4 corners that’s all points! Not a box or cell, winds of MC DM storms rolling in we can branch with each other and ride or we can do as it has been the 1st time, this is it tho! Time for the trash to be taken out and burned! It’s smelling like shit fr!
This is exactly why I got out of my MC, if I'm not following God's rules, or the governments, why am I following all these..I just wanna do me. to each his own though. ✌
1st timer to your show. Big props and thanks for the info. I'm a solo that just patched my vest with my own design. was really fortunate that where I had it done was biker owned and gave me great info to get it done right with respect .
If you are a loner then don't wear a cut, wear a full sleeve jacket with nothing on the back. Rally patches and badges only on the front and maybe a name tag. This was the lore in the 70's and it still applies today. Its all about respect - of others and yourself. If you show military patches, carry paperwork that proves you are entitled to show them - it may get you out of VERY sticky situations. Stolen Valor is NOT TOLERATED. Nor should it be...
Part of the street bike community, but first off a nod to all the 1%ers (respect), and the rest of my brothers and sisters out there on the road. As for the video: Very informative. Straight to the point; not to let anyone get caught slipping. It IS a whole different other world. Stay safe out there… 2 Wheels Down.
All patches of an MC are earned. They have to be blessed by the dominant, approved by a COC, and even after that, don’t add it to your cut unless the dominant says you’ve earned it. That’s just the beginning. And If you don’t know what a patch means, don’t wear it. That’s the only way to avoid problems. If you ignore the advice, you deserve what you’ve got coming.
Great info. Riding since I was 7, first Harley was a piece of crap 72 sporty when I was 15. 31 bikes, on my 10th Harley, 07 Heritage 41 years later. Many people need to hear this. I just wear black, no patches, no stickers, no vests. Just blend. New Sub
I have a lot of patches on my vest, but they’re all pro America/pro second amendment patches. I’m not in any club, so I’d never wear rockers or diamonds of any kind.
I bought a vest when I got my first bike. Never wore it. Then I joined an MC, not a 1% MC but left that club before I got the patches. Saw what they were about and couldn't get into it. I always knew I wasn't club material but joined because a friend asked me to. Big mistake. I ride with my boys and by myself. No MC.
Hey Sose, i just wanted to say thank you for your vids. I've been a new Prospect for a Christian MC for about a month now and I'm learning a lot from you. I think i have watched at least 10 + vids so far, Lol....be well and stay safe.
I've been meanin to buy a 2% diamond patch, cause I built my ride. I'm in SA, Brasil, not a member of the Rouges, but am a 2%. Built ground up, a shadow chopped out... Not finished with her yet, doin a little at a time. In between shop time, I ride her. Yeah, not a HD, had one, not fond of them.
Great show! I formed a club 25 years and designed our patch. It was a one piece with the state on it. We got approval from the Outlaws and HA before forming 100. + members. Beer drinkers and hell raisers but not 1%. We respect the MC philosophy and lifestyle. Rubber down
You're doing a great thing by posting this. Lots of people will wear something they don't know the first thing about, and wind up offending those whom it would be a much better idea to be on friendly terms with. My hat is off to you for that. I've never ridden a motorcycle in my life, but I get along fine with those who do because of just simple common sense and courtesy, I know how to talk to people and treat them with respect. That includes everybody on earth, and it goes for the emblems and insignias they wear, because I appreciate that it has meaning for them, regardless of whether or not I know what that meaning is. I had one interesting thing happen when I was 14. I found a WW2 army jacket at the surplus store and bought it. It was covered with all kinds of patches. I put it on and sat down at the bus stop next to an older guy who started asking me about the jacket and the patches. Turns out he was a WW2 vet. He was irritated with me and told me to take the jacket off, and that I should have my ass kicked for wearing something I hadn't earned and knew nothing about. I took it off and put my other jacket back on, and apologized for being disrespectful and ignorant. His attitude changed, and he began to explain all of the patches. Before I got off the bus, he suggested that I should sell it to a collector or donate it to a museum or something, but definitely do not wear it anymore. Lesson learned Correction graciously accepted. In your own way, you're doing the same thing for others who don't know. You're also helping to keep the peace. Again hats off to you, sir.
Me and a buddy I deployed to Iraq with confronted some fool at the airport in Portland, OR years ago, he was wearing so many citations on his chest I don't know how he expected anyone to believe him, he ain't Audie Murphy, or how he was upright, I mean real talk, it looked like a plaque on his chest....thanks for mentioning military patches bro, nothin worse than stolen valor, this comin from a twice deployed combat vet....🇺🇸👊🏻 #Support81
I don't really gettin' it - I mean why people do such stuff. No cryin' but battle Deployments aren't the most fun stuff in the world and can leave some scars. To lie about that is kinda like braggin' about your abusive Father while actually you had a real nice Dad, you know what I mean?
The only thing worse than stolen valor is Valor itself. All wars are fake and the he/shes acting like they were in a war are lying bitches. I was in a fake war in the marines. The only one with a lean hard body was myself and everyone else was long-legged pudgy he/shes.
Real heroes dont show off. You know a heroe and a not heroe a lot things are common. Both shit in their pants (not littely) both have fear both are scared both want to be sowhere else. The difference is a heroe act and the not heroe run away or freeze . Knowing this, is the reason a heroe dont show off . Whering a flag on your back and yelling im willing to die for your country I would say: Take a training how to handle how it is when you get interogate by the enemies. Just while you know its a training , not real. Just feel the 5% from what it is being real captured by enemies.
Thank you for giving us that info to help keep people out of trouble and also for mentioning about the military patches. There's too much stolen Valor going on. I'm a 4th generation army veteran and one of the units I served in is the 7th infantry. Our unit patch is a hour glass. It's all about respecting one another out there. One rule I go by is Never touch another person's ride unless they give you permission. Keep your distance.
When I was going through a background investigation for a job, it was disclosed to me that The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ/FBI), considers any orginization that uses motorcycles and dons a 3 peice patch on their back is categorized as an outlaw motorcycle gang. It does not matter if it is a 99% club, RC, etc. They are all outlaw MCs' according to the federal government. Just an FYI, if your day job is in a position of trust, your MC membership may cause an issue.
@@SoseTheGhost , then you have no worries. 👍🏾Thats the dream for most of us, well for me at least. But I have to pay the bills somehow. I'm not in a club, but I wear a leather vest. I intentionally leave the back completely blank. No patches or rockers. On the front I only have pins representing movies and shows that I like. Wow! This is very good information. Thanks man. I used to just put patches on my truck or clothing, just because I liked the artwork. One time I walked in to a bar. And ordered some drinks for me and my friend. Then the bar manager came up to me and gave me a pack of money 💰. And he didn't let me pay for my tab. I told him he must be mistaken me with someone else. But when I said that he got really scared. I gave him the 💰 back and walked out of their. He just looked at us very confused. I never went back to that bar. And I don't put scull patches anymore.
You're doing people a public service my man. I served in The Navy and want to thank you for giving those of us that served the respect we earned. I hope to see you in Sturgis this year. 2022 is gonna be a blast. Can't wait
I like how you explain this kind of culture and the mistakes people make. Don’t rate it , don’t wear it simple! All I rate are is a military patch for now.
One thing that gets me is 'Lone Wolf - No Club'. I have asked a few 1%ers about a patch like that and more than one said "Why would you"? Their reactions were negative. Almost as if it were an insult. Yes, I still have my teeth in my mouth. LOL. I thought about putting something similar on my vest but after hearing what I heard, not a chance. A couple of them told me just leave the back of my vest blank. Something about a three piece patch getting me into serious trouble. Well, being that my mother didn't raise an idiot, I took the advice at face value and left my vest blank. I am out there to ride and have fun, NOT worry about what wrong message my vest is putting out. Excellent video. Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up. Love and respect.
Think about it, Patches were derived from the Coat of Arms, which showed every Man or Woman what you stood for and what your abilities are. Back then if You saw a coat of Arms that had symbols you were not able to obtain due to physical or mental abilities YOU knew not to Fu@k with that Family.

30 years ago I was doing overnights at a parking garage...my BIL, fresh out of prison, lent me a book to pass the time....it was titled 1%er...it was a pretty thick book, and pretty old....it explained all the patches, what they meant, where they're displayed, all the hoops to jump through to become a club, and much more about club life and the roles they play from prospect to the top.....it was very interesting....a MUST read for anyone thinking about starting a club or bearing patches.....if you can even find it....
I have friends in the red and gold and have never had a problem with my vest. It does have a top rocker that says 'Fleetsailor' underneath that are the six ships I served on. The Frigate was also part of DESRON 21 during one deployment and had 4 cells in the ASROC launcher modified to launch Harpoons.
I enjoyed the video brother you have an extreme amount of knowledge you earned yourself a subscriber. Up here in Canada a lot of the organized motorcycle clubs definitely have diamond patches the ones that come to mind specifically for me is the Outlaws MC , Hell's Angels and Rock Machine MC 1% patch(diamond shaped patch with each clubs respected insignia or name inside with the 1%) both biker groups have charters in the city I live in so you can see them pretty commonly just show respect and their respectful back. However I don't know if it's considered law by bikers but I'm pretty sure it's a general rule that if you're not part of a club up here you shouldn't be wearing any identifying patches on your vest whatsoever.
@@joebone3151 I would assume if it's just your name and there's no symbolism or relation to any other clubs, then that would be fine, I would say especially in the area that I'm located in. I would try to stay away from getting a patch with colors that are associated to clubs in your area some people might get the wrong idea try to pick a neutral color

I wear a leather vest when I ride. Means nothing. I don't wear patches, they mean something, just like you say. I don't want to be in a club, too many strings. I don't advertise for anyone either. I ride alone. Keeps body and soul together.

I've been a 1% and still am welcome to ride/party with 1 percenters. I now run covered with the American legionnaires. I travel solo from state to state, met some of the outlaws in Tennessee and I'm always welcome in any 1% organization. When I ran with the 1 percenters no one and I mean no one from outside the organization would come up and strike a conversation with you. Not only do the legion riders help local people but they're also very welcome in any state (and so far)with any organization I happen to stumble across. From an old school rider in Texas I appreciate the upload. New sub
I've said this in a comment before and I'll reiterate it now, if people watch your videos like this one especially, countless lives would be saved. This ain't a game this is a lifestyle. There's no timeouts when you're surrounded by a group that put in blood sweat and tears.

I ride alone , I really don't care what that makes me. I do agree on the leather vest , and I do agree on your take on patches.I myself have two patches on my denim vest , one is a HD patch and the other says , Old School , I believe old school is a mentality of respect , manners , live and let live, the way most old timers lived there lives.
I am 52 years old and just got my first bike. Been riding with my son who also just got his first bike. we are loving it. Glad to get some info so as to not offend anyone in the culture. just want to ride and meet new people.
I ride as much as work and life let’s me but never had the desire to join mc. I have bought patches though that have personal beliefs, and ideas. I don’t wear a cut it’s full jacket for me, just don’t want to put any patches on that will get me too much attention by the mc, if you know what I mean. So the patches are put away and I ride slick.
I think any recommendations about showing Respect is always a good thing. I always say that less than 2% of 1%er’s are criminals, yet 100% will knock you out for disrespect. How many young men would be alive today that are in the hip-hop scene playing gangster on their computer talking shit 24/7. If a mentor or elder taught them that type of protocol in their culture, they would be alive today. I grew up with the purple and yellow gentleman in the San Gabriel valley and most were veterans and extremely solid men that looked out for me and my brother when my dad was in the hospital, (raced cars in Pasadena). I always tell people that when my parents divorced and my Dad moved to Hawaii and died a few years later, the 1%ers came over for the funeral. Not even all our family came out for it or his business partners in California. But the MC members that drove trucks, worked construction, and built bike parts, (not wealthy), made it a priority out of Respect to be at the funeral. Those are the types of values we should be passing on to the next generation. (They teach kids to snitch on their friends and family these days and make straight males feel like pariahs. We should institute the draft again and make women and transgenders register for the draft so they have equality). Lol. Respect

Nice story
I was legitimately just thinking about this very patch from the Corps. I’ve earned it and was wondering how that would go down since it’s a diamond and has a 1 in it. I don’t wear a cut, nor will I ever, but definitely earned that patch while in the Corps. Either way, thanks for your service Marty.

Patches, Tattoos, Color Clothing, Clothing Material etc. everything has a meaning man. Can't stay away from all of them. Life's a risk carnal.
Yes true

Our motto is
THIS THING WE DO SO OTHERS MAY LIVE.

Now that I will finally be on the road with a Harley of my own, I do have some anxieties about potential encounters with club members due to there intimidating reputation that's portrayed in the media. I'm so happy there's a channel on here that really spoon feeds this culture to those like me who need to learn a lot very quickly. He could do a years worth of shows just on patch talk and still not cover them all
Issue is that most patches he can’t talk about. And different patches many different things to different clubs
Agree
💯

They earned those patches, they have every right to enforce how they're worn.
@Pvt Reefer Its the same as stolen valor its never ok
It's not that there is so many rules per say as it is guidelines to not get yourself jammed up.
@@Samuraipeacock much love to all MC's but its not the same as stolen valor....
Great advice
Yes or also get veterans put on your id now that things like that can be done with the proper DD214 form
Stay safe much love
All patches of an MC are earned. They have to be blessed by the dominant, approved by a COC, and even after that, don’t add it to your cut unless the dominant says you’ve earned it. That’s just the beginning. And If you don’t know what a patch means, don’t wear it. That’s the only way to avoid problems. If you ignore the advice, you deserve what you’ve got coming.
Yes this is true except for coc i dont know about cocs enuff to cosign
Nobody wants to wear a lame boy scout patch

Same, only wear patches to show respect for the vets
3%
I bought a vest when I got my first bike. Never wore it. Then I joined an MC, not a 1% MC but left that club before I got the patches. Saw what they were about and couldn't get into it. I always knew I wasn't club material but joined because a friend asked me to. Big mistake. I ride with my boys and by myself. No MC.
Only patch on my vest says "What the fuck you looking at"?

ROUGE MC IN EUROPE HAVE A 2% MEANING ONLY 2% OF PEOPLE BUILD THIER OWN CHOPPERS NOT STORE BOUGHT BIKES
Rubber down
You got approved by both of those clubs......right
@@terryreeter1482 I don’t believe it
That’s like he was saying you guys did it he right way!!
Lesson learned
Correction graciously accepted.
I have no ties to the military in my family whastoever but I mad respect what yall do. Id hit someone on a valor steal. Thats disgusting
Whering a flag on your back and yelling im willing to die for your country I would say:
Take a training how to handle how it is when you get interogate by the enemies.
This is my day an night job lol
@@SoseTheGhost , then you have no worries. 👍🏾Thats the dream for most of us, well for me at least. But I have to pay the bills somehow. Thank you for the response, thats solid.
I'm not in a club, but I wear a leather vest. I intentionally leave the back completely blank. No patches or rockers. On the front I only have pins representing movies and shows that I like. I think that upwards of 95 percent of the trouble that people get into is from either pretending to be something they're not, or disrespecting others. Just be who you are, and know what things mean so you don't step on toes. Treat everyone with respect. Glad to see this type of video, because even if you don't intend to insult a biker, accidentally offending them can still get your ass kicked.

You are doing a Great Job Brother of educating people. Lots of folks out there that have no idea that what they wear can get them in a real bind. I personally don’t know why they wear stuff they haven’t earned, guess it makes them feel cool. As you know, there are even 1%s that don’t have certain patches because they haven’t earned them.

Thats cool show some of it in a video ill share it
From what I've learned, the 2% patch is worn by chopper clubs as (they say) only 2% of bikers ride a chopper.
2%ers are Native
I read that 2% was van owners.
If it's in the form of a diamond it's poser shit. Period.
Thank you much respect

Lol. Respect
So true
