I'm i really only one who tanks elemental nations continent greatly resembles Asia land of fire is pretty much China at least when you put both real world map and this one against one a norther
Strangely enough, while non canon, the Stone of Gelel movie confirms the existence of a continent completely without and unaware of chakra. Not having any is one thing, but not knowing it even exists is just absurd.
@@sethreddick1181 fair enough if they were regular people like them, but if there were countries with mountain vaporizing kaiju, people who can heal grievous injuries, and talking dogs, I would imagine that news would spread about such anomalies.
It would depend on how isolated that continent is. It has been a long, long time since I watched that movie, but going off of the fact that Naruto & Co actually went there, it's hard to believe that was the first time ever a person crossed the ocean. Realistically, once the first people on the new continent learned about the existence of chakra and how to use it, that knowledge would spread like wildfire. The same events following Hagoromo's teaching of Ninshu would probably occur, with nations using chakra as a weapon of war. And it would spread because any nation without chakra would have an infinite disadvantage against any nation that knew how to use it. But it's a non-canon continent from a non-canon movie, it doesn't have to fit or make sense.
It’s funny because this video entails much of the exact same math that power scaling does, so it should theoretically be just as interesting to power scaling fans.
China apparently exists in this world too because in part 1, when Lee is contemplating his surgery, there's a flashback where Guy mentions "Chinese medicine balls"
People like you are why I feel like I need a PhD to write my fantasy novel. Gotta go through every line with a fine tooth comb and a physics textbook, so one thoughtless statement doesn’t snowball into proof that my world is 300X the size of earth and everyone has bones made of adamantium to withstand the gravity. 🤦♀️
@@convictedxmage4546 It's the classic adage of "Authors can't do math" lol I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just write a good story everything else is extra.
As a fellow writer, my answer for you is to worry about making plausible explanations for why something could contradict real world physics instead of actually trying to learn the physics you’re planning to break.
@@convictedxmage4546 It depends on how realistic you want to make the world. With fantasy you can just go bonkers with the physics. Look at Middle-Earth for example, the geography wasn't formed through billions of years of tectonic activity, but rather by magical forces (and the ainur boxing with Morgoth), the shape of the world itself changed at some point (it was originally flat, then they separated the continent of Aman and made the rest, Middle-Earth proper, a sphere. Yet you can still go there with magical boats). Or look at d&d and stuff. You can have ships that sail in space through the magical waters of the ether if you want to. It doesn't have to hold up to scientific scrutiny unless you want to go for realism (and then again, how much realism? You have to draw the line somewhere bc 100% realism is only achievable in the real world, bc it is the frame of reference). Even ASoIF, which is much more grounded in realism than Tolkien's Middle-Earth, has nonsense things that are only explained by "it's magic" (Melisandre's magic, frosty undead, warging, the children of the forest, a magical barrier in the form of an impossibly tall wall of ice, extremely long seasons without proper planetary orbit math, giants that don't obey the square-cube law, dragons that can fly without having their whole anatomy warped to optimize weight and whose fire can melt stone, etc). But those stories are not concerned with being realistic in those aspects, and we should analyze and criticize stories according to what they're going for, what they set out to do. In the case of Naruto, Kishimoto wasn't concerned with figuring out the exact diameter of his world because he was only going to explore a small part of it, and the mention that there are lands outside the "Shinobi continent" were probably just meant to create a sense of perspective (or even wonder) and to explain why it's not strange that the Land of Waves had no Shinobi military force. Kishimoto never set out to explore those other continents. He was more focused on flashing out how the Shinobi system works and how it affects people's lives, and on developing his characters and the story. Worldbuilding and (consistent) magic systems aren't his strong suits anyway. But of course you still have to care about maintaining at least a minimum level of realism with the small things like how long does it take from this place to that place, what is the basic geography like (did it form naturally or via the influence of magical forces, or both?), what currency do they use (but you don't have to spend years learning economics to craft a "realistic" economy for a fictional story, it just has to be convincing enough/make enough sense), how the fantastical elements of the world affect things like idiomatic expressions, etc. Ultimately it all depends on what you're setting out to do. You can make a hyper "realistic", hyper detailed world, just be mindful of worldbuilder's disease. For a novel the quality of the story/writing has to come first, worldbuilding is to provide a setting and flavour, but in the end it should serve and help elevate the story.
Exactly. An author is just trying to draw something cool without overthinking it, and power scalars will come up with crazy calculations from thet feat without taking that context into account.
I think the old Naruto movies "Legend of the Stone of Gelel," and "Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom," could be decent theories for the other parts of the world. I'd actually love to see Kishimoto explore the rest of "Planet N" with possibly other stories not related to Naruto. Maybe there's a kingdom that just calls Chakra "Magic?'
Actually nuts. What’s crazy is this scale and many of the others aren’t even bad scales. It’s just the thought of the planet being that massive sounds crazy to me
That animal continent theory definitely probably is true. Ancient Asian cultures do have some myth about the potential hollow earth and we know the moon had a literal portal on earth. I feel it would be something like in the Godzilla series and only the sages know how to access it as mentioned. We also have to remember something crucial that wasn't mentioned here (and honestly I forgot 😅) . Lady Katsuyu is extremely large and most definitely has enough space for herself. I feel the fandom has forgotten that only like 1/10 of her size has been summoned in the series😮. She is literally the titans of all Summonings. I guarantee it's like a gourmet world from Toriko if we were to look at the continent.
Of course, another continent is introduced in the movie The Stone of Gelel where they don't harness chakra directly, but instead harness chakra infused stones. Also, the Stone of Gelel is one of two movies that takes us down into the heart of the planet where massive chakra infused crystals are found. It's kind of insane how the movies expand on the topography whereas the manga's only focus on this one single smallish continent.
Also would like to point out how ln the the war when the sensory unit sensed the ten tails chakra he said lt was equal to a small planet which we also saw compared to the planetary sphere, and that sphere was a lot larger then the ten tails chakra pool. When we take into account that earth ln real life ls a small planet same with venus and mercury and the ten tails chakra pool, puts into perspective how big the naruto planet is
@sageofthickcalves thanks bro, l got random and potentially controversial video idea. Could you make a video on what ways nature and sasuke could destroy or vaporize a planet? lf you believe that planetary meta for them... and l knows it's a very specific and random request, but l thought lt'd be interesting to see your take/opinion on how they could go about lt
@idropNukes999 the planetary levels for them is basically surface base, they don't really have the power to oblirate a planet like freeze, but they are still planetary because they could potentially destroy the world if they wanted to.
I always wanted to know if that map we see is the only limited canon part of world, or if there are lands beyond the intermixed Shinobi jurisdiction...
Both the Naruto and One Piece worlds are absurdly large. The large one Piece nations are the size of Australia. I guess both of them still having giant animals makes sense because of this though. Unlike our world.
On the other Continent's my personal head canon is that on one of them is a Eauropean based society like with Knights and the like who would have Chakra and things similar to Justsu but they work separately and the other ones could be one based on Africa and/or the America's with various tribes who also use Chakra in a different way than Shinobi.
They both may have given different name to chakra. Easiest one to think of being "magic". And, while Hagoromo may have come to see them, he seem to have been pretty implied to go back to the continent we know and have died there, which means he is likely better remembered here than there.
If the Planet N had a circumference of 277,772.774 km (instead of ~40,000 km(Earth)), and assuming it had the same density, its mass would be about 1.995 x 10^27 kg, roughly 334 times the current Earth’s mass. The surface gravity would be much stronger, around 68.14 m/s², compared to the current 9.81 m/s². Approximately 6.95G. That is more than twice of the gravity of Jupiter. I highly doubt the planet is 13.7 times the size of the earth. At the most it should be comparable or slightly smaller than the earth. Maybe slightly smaller than Mars even. A rocky planet 13.7 times would have a collosally high mass, and density. That size of the Planet N would imply that the creatures inhabiting this planet would have to be extremely tiny in order to compensate for the retardedly high metabolic costs due to the extreme gravity. Now I know they have chakra, which is like a boost to their vitality and can be used to explain their size, but still, I refuse to believe that. They always did not have Chakra, and only received it after a certain event. Secondly, the moon. It was created by the Sage of the Six paths from the Earth itself. If the planet had a gravity almost 7 times that of earth, the moon would have to orbit much much much futher away to avoid collapsing into the Earth. Too lazy to do the math rn. Will probably edit this comment later and add it.
just to correct you it wasnt just hagoromo who made the moon, hamura also did as well cuz it was suggested they sealed "killed" kaguya by using the same seals that hagoromo gave to naruto and sasuke.
There's only one answer: That Kaguya girl. The only other answer: That crystal girl Those are non-canon character - which makes sense because most people have already heard of all the strong canon characters, but... if you want canon answers: It'd be characters with 'surprisingly' strong hax, for instance: Shino. He has access insects of a certain type such that, essentially, if he touches you once, you will die. Itachi, is another example, his Tsukiyomi is actually an instant kill, as long there is eye contact with the target. An honourable mention here is Jiraiya, who canonically has the ability to turn anyone he touches into a literal toad, and they can't do anything to go back to normal. Of course, Shino's is a bit more OP but I just wanted to mention this. Of course, you've heard of these people, I'm sure you knew they were strong, but you may not have now that they were "that" strong. Okay, what about canon characters, you've never heard of... and are the strongest. Now... this is a tough question. I think the only way to answer this is by looking at the light novels. And with that, I'm going to suggest: Mukai Kohinata He's from a family that departed from the Hyuga, leaving him with a natural one-eyed byakugan. He was not just strong enough to work in the anbu but Danzo went as far to say he was as impressive of a shinobi as Itachi (to an extent). Probably his best feat is taking on both Itachi and Shisui at once. Yes, he won a 2v1 against Itachi and Shisui. Now, although it should be mention that Itachi and Shisui were technically kids, but... firstly they are several times much more mature and skilled than anyone 5 years above them. And also, they were both in the anbu at this time. Actually the reason why Shisui and Itachi fought Mukai is because Mukai, was a target for betraying Konoha, Danzo sent the two of them to kill Mukai. Yet, Mukai still managed to beat both of them. The only reason why Mukai isn't alive and Itachi and Shisui survived the fight is because... he got distracted, Shisui used his MS to out Mukai under genjutsu in that brief moment and... - just to be clear - the genjutsu didn't kill Mukai. What killed Mukai is that Mukai had a seal placed on him by Danzo, many years prior, where in order to protect all of Konoha's secrets, if he was ever put under genjutsu, he'd be forcing slice his own stomach and kill himself in order to not reveal information. So, although it's entirely possible, that Mukai would've broken himself out of Shisui's genjutsu, afterall the byakugan increases one's resistance to genjutsu. Anyways, I can't think of a canon character that isn't already known that is stronger than him. I mean I could say "Mei is underrated" but you know who Mei is. I could say "Han" , the 7 tails jinchuriki is OP he's technically using a form of the 6/7 gates, by using boil release to boil his chakra to the point where it evaporates any water or ice that is around him. Similar to how the 6 gates displaces surrounding bodies of water and the 7 gates causes the sweat of the user to evaporate. The affects of this boil release jutsu is similar to the 7 gates too as it exponentially increases speed, strength, etc. Not to mention... he is a jinchuriki. Another, suggestion would be the guy with the 7 heavenly breaths. Those heavenly breaths are akin to the 8 gates, but not just that... he's the guy who taught Gaara taijutsu, to the extent where taijutsu can casually box with an Otsutsuki. I'm sure I've missed quite a few OP canon characters that people may not know about. But, whatever. I've been typing for too long 😂
The intermission for the like and subscribe is always funny 😂. Another banger of a video. The naruto planet is massive. 3 super continent is pretty cool. Top tier naruto youtuber🙌
Great video man ✊🏽 the Naruto community has been needing this info for years. Especially for One Piece Stan’s who lean on “the One Piece planet is bigger so the characters scale higher”
Gigantic summons make perfect sense, genbu had ginormous animals and creatures on it, the shinobi continent also had insanely large dinosaurs all other it
I always thought the naruto planet was super huge when it took mabuis light speed transportation 1 minute to travel from the shinobi hq to the battlefield which is in the same village😭 that can make the planet 1 million times larger than earth when you take into account that light speed travels our earth 8 times in 1 second.
amazing video you are putting in insane work, love everything from this new series so far! one thing that’d be awesome is if you would drop the reddit link to the map.
For your calculations on the size of the planet, I think that the assumption that a horse could travel 30 miles an hour for 12 hours a day is flawed. It could be possible there are chakra-utilizing horses that would have the stamina to perform this feat, the person saying that it would be a three day horse travel seems to be a regular civilian who I would assume to have access to just regular horses. And given most other non-summon animals in Naruto seem to be analagous to the animals on earth (I haven't done the powerscaling for wildlife in Naruto unfortunately, which means I could be wrong), I would assume the abilities of horses on Planet N to be similar to the horses of our world. Being generous, max travel distance 'by horse' in one day is 100 miles, assuming good terrain and weather, so a horse ride of 3 days is a 300 mile journey. However, this is aslo assuming that you would be switching horses every 10-15 miles. Which would require the coordinated effort of dozens of people at dozens of waystations along the way from your location to your destination. Realistically in three days you could travel 120 miles in three days given that you were riding a single horse just because of the amount of rest, food, etc a horse needs. Assuming the 100 miles a day figure Planet N would still have a circumference of 96,000 miles (~154,500 km) which is the 3.86 times size of our planet. Taking the more single horse travel time into account the circumference of the planet would be more like 38,400 miles (61,798 km) which is only 1.54 times the size of our planet. I think this makes more sense from a physics perspective but less sense based on the otherwise calculated speed feats of the characters in the series. Not trying to hate or anything, I'm a fan of the channel just thought the planet number was a bit out there to the point I started my own calculations.
I belive the reason he gave those stats for the horses speed is because of animals in the show for example messenger hawks are faster then Shinobis top speeds, cats and dogs also out pace shinobi. And idk about you but I don't know many cats that move the speed of lighting here so the Calc he gave would be a reasonable low ball. Early genin missions are capturing dogs and cats and it takes 3 genin coordinating to catch it sure genin are not the speed of a jonin but there by no means low especially in short bursts sauske and Naruto being comparable to Haku who is stated to be faster then zabuza.
@@braxtonhouse294 burst speed and sustain speed are 2 totally different skills... Usain Bolt could run 100 meters at 41km/h (25mph for the U.S. people) but couldn't run 41km in an hour... more like 12 to 15km (7.5-9 miles) Ninjas in Naruto have amazing burst speeds, but that kind of movement would consume enormous cuantities of chakra... don't know, maybe Naruto or Jiraya could sustain that kind of speed for a prolonged amount of time, but for the 99% of shinobi, it would be more like a less than a minute/short amount of minutes kind of feat... then the great shinobi war pop up, and kakashi can use continuosly raikiri, kamui, clons and all kinds of stuff for 2 days and 1 nigth in a row, so maybe I'm totally wrong and planet N is a galaxy size planet; but I asume the 1.54 times the size asumption is about right... maybe between 1.54 to 2 times
@MagusGenji he is also stated to have much larger reserves after losing the sharingan. And my point wasn't that burst speeds should be taken into account. My point was if a cat dog and hawk can move faster then lightning there is no reason a horse can't. Even at a burst and if it can move at lightning speeds in burst it can move atleast half that speed at a jog
the whole planetary calculation made 0 sense from any perspective in this video or in most of reddit threats cause its based on bs assumptions to start with. Its just for fun
i always thought he was universal when i read chapter 684. it's stated kaguya "transforms the space of the world" when she uses amenominaka. world means planet, society, or universe. we see kaguya also change stars and moons so the only thing feasible is universe since it's more than a planet. warping the space of the universe is universal by definition from versus battle wiki.
@@Scxrwydoing I was just referencing the stupid naruto is planetary drama. if people don't think naruto is at least planetary, they don;t power scale well
@spicyboi544 people be forgetting that you need way higher ap and dc then planetary to combat people like kaguya, momoshiki, isshiki, kinshki and the rest of their clan members.
5:56 the naruto continent would have to be the one at the top or bottom since that’s where the explosion occurred and thats where we see the explosions.
@@sageofthickcalves what im saying is the wave of the explosion if its the continent your suggesting is perpendicular to konoha which doesn’t make sense considering it was spread out from that location.
One thing you didn’t mention that could help prove some stuff is when you said that the 5 great nations are likely on that top right continent. Since it’s snows in Konoha it has to be in the northern hemisphere, because the southern hemisphere really doesn’t snow accept at the South Pole, which is deep Deep South. It can’t be on the equator either, so it’s more likely that top right continent like you said.
You gave me a great conundrum. On one hand, I am evil and do hate freedom, but on the other hand, this was a great and informative video so I had to like anyway. I'll be sure to cast curses on your bloodline for this.
Considering Kashina is known as Konoha's red hot habanero, not only does that pepper exist but the Spanish language must too and Konoha has access to both lol I also like the continent of summoned animals since there seems to be a marked difference between them and normal Naruto universe animals even when those animals use chakra. Like Pakkun talks, wears clothes, and apparently uses the same shampoo as Sakura while Akamaru doesn't. They don't seem to age at the same rate either. Then there's just Katsuyu who is huge! If I remember correctly neither Tsunade or Sakura sunmon all of her and she's already the size of a mountain. I feel like for the location of her main body to be hidden it being on another continent makes sense cause surely someone would notice the giant slug that towers over mountains. Also if Naruto's Earth is that big then the gravity must be insane. A fun discussion would definitely be what this would mean for any Naruto character being on a smaller planet. Think Saiyans and Earth. This vid makes me wonder about the geopolitics of the Naruto world. I know Nagato blamed Konoha for the wars but Konoha's topography and central location suggests otherwise. Lastly looking forward to the cosmology video!
So I just want to add to what you said about Katsuyu. Both Tsunade and Sakura together manage to summon 1/10th of her. That's 10% of her original size. They need to do it together! She also immediately melts down to heal people. She melts down over the entire battlefield. That's just 1/10th of her size. Tsunade or Sakura summon her on their own, she's Shukaku size. 1/10th of her should be significantly larger. Otherwise them summoning that much of her, wouldn't be a big deal. 100% Katsuyu might just be the largest summon in the entire series.
@@adamdonovan7269 Thank you for this! I couldn't remember exactly how much of her they'd summoned so this just reinforced what I was thinking. Katsuyu is even bigger than I thought!
If we talking about geopolitics, Land of Fire probably could've been larger than it is. Compared to other large countries, it has better agricultural and geographic advantage over those countries. And if we're measuring military power not by technology, but by powerful individuals residing in a country, it became more absurd since konoha specifically probably owns two thirds of nuke equivalent of the entire world. Its basically USA but their philosophy is peace instead of freedom
If you assume that planet N is 13 times the size of Earth, then you need to account also for the length of a day. A larger planet means either longer days (increasing the number of hours and thus the size even more) or increase the rotational speed of the planet. In addition, gravity rises. Assuming that we take modern physics into account, and adjust a little for chakra, then a factor of 13 seems a little large...
@@sageofthickcalves True, but again we come back to physics. I would assume that the stories on how long someone traveled (without stopping) is a little exaggerated. Humans like to embellish stories of their heroes after all. Yet, its very long since i read Naruto... so i am definitely not an expert :D
I remember in maybe a filler episode or a movie there was a girl that asked naruto what kind of kissing he’s into or something and she mentioned French kissing so I think we can assume france is also around
I think kakashis trsvel speed is pmhypotheticly becouse evdn he will run out of chacra and thefore stsmina if he doesnt stopnto to est.we also need to assume its wirhout sny luggage and on a flat or semy flat survice Where for exsmpla wall or water runns will use off more energy Thsts another thing we need to consider that the fact thst a shibobi is faster mainly comes from the limiations a horse has A horse cant water or wall walk therefore it needs to do a detour So considering this a travel distence is much longer for a horse to begin with couse the shinobi csn more or less walk air line wich is like the bigest shortcut ever
my friends and i actually had a whole ass debate about this the other day, i thought there was only two and they thought it was only one continent. three is crazy, i wish they were explored more, like the infinite tsukuyomi would have insane implications around the world as a whole and i would wanna see how other people/animals would react. (i know this isn’t canon) that one movie that implies they don’t know about chakra or something for example how would they react to seeing the moon go red and trees grabbing everyone and mummifying them?
the cultural impact that event would have by itself to anyone not hip to the war on the other side of the world would be astronomical. that alone would trigger so much that could possibly happen
Another difference between our world and the Naruto world is that in Naruto the moon is hollow and has a breathable atmosphere. Horses in Naruto would have Chakra but unless they're Ninja Horses, or Summoning animals they'd just be normal horses like we have in the real world.
@@sageofthickcalves but dosnt momoshiki's dimensions have redshift nebula's? idk if this is the same universe as the naruto universe or a different universe
Honestly 360mph is... A lot. I get that we're talking about charcters with chakra here but at that sort of speed air resistance becomes a real problem. In my mind shinobi travel speed for some of the fastest, scouts and messengers etc, should probably still be under 100mph. Hokage level characters like Kakashi could no doubt travel much faster if needed but at 300+ mph a lot of (most?) energy would probably go into overcoming the air resistance. It is a neat concept for chakra use though. Most of what we see in the manga and anime is combat focused but I've always enjoyed thinking about the utility of chakra, we see it used for messaging and scouting, no doubt there should be ninjas who focus primarily on travel speed. With wind manipulation maybe combatting air resistance with chakra would be a key factor in travelling quickly.
@@michaelmoreno7889 I agree, but in real life people can punch at 40+ mph and comfortably jog at 10-15 mph, so having someone who’s massive FTL jog at less than 1% light speed is beyond fair
@@mcsquigg37 outside of the kamui dimension, yes, massively. Inside of the kamui dimension, no. He gains his resolve to protect Naruto aka “the current Obito”.
@@sageofthickcalves Appreciate it. I mainly asked because I was talking with one of my friends about how Kakashi’s abilities are severely underrated, arguing less from a powerscaling perspective and more from a narrative perspective. Because otherwise, how else can a character go from being a T3-ish prodigy in the verse to having his scaling fall off its trajectory by the time we get to the OG series and up through War arc really unless said character is depressed for a good portion of the show. Tell me if I’m wrong with that but I feel like his war arc buff that he gets falls perfect in line with his character’s narrative, while my friend argued that his scaling is just bad writing
I don't like how the planet was calculated. If you look at how long shuriken and kunai travel before falling we can assume that the planet has relatively low gravity compared to earth. Because of that it isn't fair to compare everything to our world, take for example horses. Does a horse travel faster or slower in a world with lower gravity? After all, the gravity could be used as an explanation for the speed and distance ninja can jump and travel, this should also influence the avarege speed of horses for example. And because gravity is also directly correlated to mass and therefore planet size, so planet N being so big doesn't quite make sense for me.
@@ewout2763 kunai and shuriken would take longer to drop if they’re traveling at a greater velocity, which they would be. Genin are multiple times faster than sound, so their kunai throws would be at least that fast. If you launch a kunai at just Mach 1, it’ll take A LONG TIME before it noticeably drops, even on our Earth. I don’t think that’s a good reason to think the Naruto world has weaker gravity than ours.
@sageofthickcalves You'll have to forgive me for not answering the question on the other video yet, because I don't have time to open the manga right now, nor search for the fitting episode, this though I can answer. While it is a fact that something traveling faster than sound would indeed take longer to fall, it doesn't refute my argument. Yes, even with more gravity would kunai fly straight for a while if they are thrown at mach 1, I doubt they are. This comes back to how you calculate the speed of Shinobi. One of the main example you use and work back from is Kakashi's speed (who is a fairly fast ninja) based on travel speed compared to a horse. For making this realistic you added rest time and limited the time the horse could move in one day. I think you forgot something here though. Your calculation implies that the horse travels a straight line from point a to point b. Horses don't do that. They follow the beaten path, need to go around rivers and ponds and cannot move through mountains or dense forests. A shinobi can. This makes a huge difference. The distance the horse travels is now something we can calculate in two ways: 1: we calculate the distance based on the length of straight line between point a and b, or we calculate it based on the path the horse needs to take. In your example you calculate a distance based on the speed of a horse and it's travel time, then you use that distance on the travel time of kakashi, who wouldn't take the path the horse would take, but instead the path a shinobi would take: a straight line. We read this from the position of a shinobi, so saying that Kakashi can travel the same distance a horse needs 3 days for in 3 hours creates the wrong calculation. (This is ignoring the idea that on lower gravity a horse could theoretically move faster and for much longer periods of time) To be extreme, it would be like calculating how fast a plane goes from amsterdam to new york (8-11 hours?, we'll call it [planetime]) compared to how fast a car can do that. The car would have to travel all the way over Eurasia, take a small ferry from siberia to alaska and then drive through the upper part of north America. Same destination, different routes. This would take the car an incredibly long time (let's say it would take [cartravelltime] hours), and if you then try to calculate the distance the car took we can use the average speed of the car [carspeed] (assuming we know this.) Then we get: [totalmeterstravelledcar]=[cartraveltime] * [carspeed]. Now you calculate the speed for the plane: To calculate the amount of meters travelled we use the only available metric we have, and that is [totalmeterstravelledcar]. so we would get [totalmeterstravelledcar]/[planetraveltime] = [planespeed]. Obviously now [planespeed] is not only absurdly high compared to [carspeed] it is also not the speed a real plane would travel, they would travel a different route, so it would have a [totalmeterstravelledplane] a different number. However by using the speed wrongfully calculated you create the rest of the comparisons in distance and in speed for ninja's, but I would say the main focal point of your calculation is wrong. Other examples you used, like lighting etc. I would call exaggerations, and if not -wrong. We can take lightning for example, that seems like something that can easily be exaggerated to reinforce the idea that shinobi are ungodly fast. And even if we don't take it as a exaggeration, we are able to see the lighting fall during the fight between sasuke and itatchi if I'm remembering correctly. Dodging that is technically possible therefore. Another reason why I don't think speed is a good answer here is because we never hear the sound barrier being broken. A shushin is a jutsu (that's utterly busted) so I"ll igonore that, because of Chakra-bullshit. We know there is something like the sound barrier being broken because we hear the thunder in thunderstorms during some episodes. And then, if a Kunai is flying with let's say mach 1, and it would impact a tree, it would either explode the tree or go straight through it, it wouldn't get lodged in the tree that's for sure. So I find that counterargument incorrect. I think that the only 2 ways that could be explained is either with lower gravity or with some sort of chakra enhancement put on kunai and shiruken to make them travel longer. Naruto's got shitty chakra control in part 1, especially the beginning, but his Kunai still fly straight, so I don't think it's that. (although that would've been really cool and would've opened up so many interesting opportunities for the Byakugan to be more interesting). tldr; you calculated the size of the planet based on the speed of shinobi, which I think should be calculated differently because of reasons explained above. In my opinion we can be fairly certain there is a lower gravity which would also impact the speed calculation, this is visible in the kunai. A lower gravity would also mean that the planet is smaller; which I think it is, it would explain the speed and length that shinobi can travel, which would still be slower than you calculate, and it would explain why baby-genin don't go splat after falling of a tree.
@ we have multiple statements and showings throughout the series of shinobi being FAR faster than Mach 1. Kakashi tags a lightning bolt as a teenager, there are several light speed statements, Lee powers up to dozens of times faster than sound in the Chunin Exams, etc. So, for this video, all I have to do is say that the Raikage is light speed with his lariat, KCM1 Naruto outspeeds his fastest punch, Kakashi in the war is > KCM1 Naruto, and then he gets orders of magnitude stronger. Unless you believed that shinobi throw kunai at hundreds of thousands of times slower than they throw punches, you have to concede that kunai throws from War Kakashi would be FTL
@@sageofthickcalves This is one of my main problems, and the reason why I think a lot of the times they say 'lightspeed' they actually just mean 'very f*cking fast' (I won't fight you on Lee during the Chunin, I find dozens of times another overstatemend though). Be there chakra or not, the main laws of physics should still apply. It is simply impossible to go FTL, I won't go into the entire physics why - but it's a law of nature. Now, I think it is no secret that during the war arc all the powerscaling was just thrown out the window (something that makes this discussion even more complex) , but I simply cannot accept the fact that something goes FTL. And if we want to keep the relative speed correct, we just need to slow down everyone. Those statements are often said by characters in shock or explaining things, things get exaggerated easily then. But to come back to one of your examples, the raikage with his cloak. Considering the fact that he can be seen moving and his body isn't being ripped to shred and atomized we can safely assume that he is travelling below FTL. If you're going FTL+ you literally can't be seen. By the time light enters the eyes of the beholder you're miles away, that doesn't happen either. So no, I don't think people are for some reason throwing their weapons slower, I think that the people are slower. The statements are made in exaggeration. Haven't you ever described a friend doing something to somebody else by comparing them to something else. For example the friend was riding a car incredibly fast and to give the person you're telling the tale a way to kinda show how it felt, you say "He practically went the speed of a rocket" or something like that? The only way I can keep everything working in the Narutoverse with it's absurd, absurd, ABSURD, amount of retcons, plotholes and powerscaling is if everything that characters say is taken with a grain of salt. Don't forget that people also like to embellish their own. Didn't both raikage and the kazegake both claim the title of strongest shinobi at the same time as hiruzen during the third war? In the sand the third kazekage is said to be the most powerfull shinobi ever, while konoha would say, 'yeah he's strong, but ..."
4:20 I am pretty sure that only special breeds of horses can get up to 100 miles in a day. I know you are trying to be conservative by only saying they travel for 12 hours a day but horses can't stay running at galloping paces for prolonged periods of time. 5:54 I thought the lighter patch in the middle was the land at first and got a bit confused at first when you circled an "ocean", but still I think you are assuming based on that picture that there are three continents. There could be two or one or who knows how many continents. The top left and right landmasses might be connected. I mean Europe and Asia are often counted as two separate continents. I am not trying to hate or be very nit-picky. It is a fascinating topic, but I am not exactly as confident as you are that this is a conservative estimate.
@@cruidinnecluda1711 the reason this is a conservative estimate is because Kakashi is massively faster than light and we only have him at 360 mph in terms of travel speed
Sage think you're confusing Iwagakure with Ishigakure.' The correct translation of Iwagakure is 'Village Hidden in the Rocks,' while 'Ishigakure' would mean 'Village Hidden in the Stone.' If you're wondering why this mix-up happens, blame the anime-it's a mistranslation that stuck, so now everyone calls Iwagakure the Stone Village!
Yeah I know about this mix up, but Iwa is what most people refer to as the Hidden Stone (where Onoki is from), due to the anime and the official Viz translations (which are bad, like you said). I just didn’t want to confuse the audience by calling it the Hidden Rock Village, even though TECHNICALLY that’s more correct
Topography changes travel speed a lot, and I think "lightning trains" is a way to not say electric since Latin and Greek aren't established languages in the Shinobi world. It may also be to denote that the physical base properties of the world aren't the same. I don't think trains travel around at the speed of lightning, it's just that their source is the same as lightning. It was probably just a marketing term in their world to make them sound fast and new. We should also take into account stamina for horses. Horses cannot travel as far if galloping at full speed due to energy consumption, but they can cover longer distances at slower speeds. They're also restricted by terrain more than Shinobi, so it's not difficult to travel long distances several times faster than them if you can leap through trees. Nothing can travel full speed 100% of the time. Taking these things into account, it should shrink the world dramatically. Though yeah, war arc travel would still probably be FTL, but that's true for the ending of a lot of rushed series that establishes a massive scale. With a smaller world you might be able to take things back into Mach range. It would still be crushing to travel at those speed though.
1: Electricity is referenced in Naruto more than once, so it’s unlikely that “lightning train” means what you think. But yeah it could be that they’re just fueled by lightning. Either way, the fact that the characters in question are multi times FTL lends credence to faster travel via horse and train. 2: Well-trained horses in real life can travel over 100 miles in a single day, rest included. This is in modern times when horses aren’t the primary mode of transportation anymore. So it reasons that horses in Naruto, which are likely physically superior to horses in real life (like cats that can blitz genin, or dogs that can restrain jonin), should be FAR above that. 3: I mean…Boruto Era Kakashi is relative to Kashin Koji, who’s > Base Naruto. Base Naruto is able to react to and temporarily box with Fused Momoshiki. Fused Momoshiki is > Kaguya. Kaguya is > SOSP Naruto. SOSP Naruto is >>>>> KCM1 Naruto. KCM1 Naruto is relativistic. So characters at the higher tiers of the series are verifiably multi times FTL, including Kakashi.
Horses can’t gallop for twelve hours a day. The math of how far a horse can travel a day is not something you have to guess at, and it’s about 25 miles a day, not 360. That puts the 3 day trip at 75 miles, not 1,080. That also reduces Kakashi’s travel speed from 360mph to 25mph which is a lot more like what we see ninja running at in the manga and anime.
@@MrShamooga horses in real life can travel over 100 miles in one day, with rest, water, and food considered. These are MODERN horses, not ones that are used for daily transportation like they were a few hundred years ago. Also, like I pointed out, the way it’s worded in the novel doesn’t make it clear whether or not this is a horse at full speed for that whole time or standard horseback travel. Also, shinobi are just stated to be significantly faster on foot than they are while traveling via horse. So it’s not a perfect scale, but assuming that characters who can travel at multiple times the speed of light are only moving 25 mph is clinically insane I’m ngl.
@ I get what you’re saying, but similarly to the horses, a shinobi probably can’t move at or anywhere near their absolute top speed indefinitely. Yes, the world record for a horse traveling 100 miles might be ~6 hours, but I feel like beginning your math for scaling distance off of improbable extremes just invalidates your whole thought experiment. If someone says going to the grocery store is a twenty minute walk they usually aren’t usually referring to Usain Bolt’s running speed.
@ yeah you have to realize, though, that top speed for someone like Kakashi is multiple times faster than light. So you’re saying he wouldn’t be able to maintain 0.000001% of his top speed for a long period of time
The entire first part of the video is a good example of why everybody should take the speed (or strength) calculations of anime characters with a grain of salt They're absurd All that matters is that a character's feats are consistent relative to other characters
I think, that the horses vs Kakashi calculations don't work like this. If these are horses like in our world, they surely wouldn't keep this speed for multiple days for 12 hours/ day. Also because the text used for the comparison sounded like they would also carry humans (+ equipment?). Plus: the terrain may be a bigger issue for horses, forcing them to drastically slow down, whilst Kakashi could have used the 'jumping on trees with large gaps' tactic we often see in the anime, which really helps to avoid hilly grounds, serpentines or mud. I would also say, it is rather irrelevant, who fast he can be on short distances on the battle field, we're talking about holding a pace for multiple hours straight.
Yeah so a few things here 1: Every living creature in Naruto has chakra, so the horses inherently are not like ours. That’s why I took the estimate I did. Even in real life, horses have been able to cover over 100 miles in a day WITH a rider and gear 2: The numbers given for horse travel includes terrain 3: Top speed is relevant because the fastest people in the world can sprint at ~30 mph, but ultra marathon runners can keep a ~5 mph pace for even a whole day on some occasions. So saying Kakashi can move at multiple times FTL at his fastest, but only 50-100 mph over long distances is weird because we’re talking about a difference of hundreds of millions of times lol
@@AdubChannel 40k views, so I think it’s not causing any issues for the video. It wasn’t petty, either. It was intended to be funny. If you look at the others who commented on it, I think you’ll find that they understood that.

I mean it does make a lil sense like in our world there are people who don’t any of us exist
@@sethreddick1181 fair enough if they were regular people like them, but if there were countries with mountain vaporizing kaiju, people who can heal grievous injuries, and talking dogs, I would imagine that news would spread about such anomalies.
@@_-Bane-_Main you right I be forgetting about the talking animals
Non canon for a reason

People like you are why I feel like I need a PhD to write my fantasy novel. Gotta go through every line with a fine tooth comb and a physics textbook, so one thoughtless statement doesn’t snowball into proof that my world is 300X the size of earth and everyone has bones made of adamantium to withstand the gravity. 🤦♀️
Depends if the atmosphere is special than the people don't need to be super humans
This is honestly so good. I hope this video and your last one get the recognition they deserve. Really doing a service for the community
I think the old Naruto movies "Legend of the Stone of Gelel," and "Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom," could be decent theories for the other parts of the world.
If the Planet N had a circumference of 277,772.774 km (instead of ~40,000 km(Earth)), and assuming it had the same density, its mass would be about
1.995 x 10^27 kg, roughly 334 times the current Earth’s mass.

There's only one answer:
That Kaguya girl.
The only other answer:
That crystal girl
Those are non-canon character - which makes sense because most people have already heard of all the strong canon characters, but... if you want canon answers:
It'd be characters with 'surprisingly' strong hax, for instance: Shino.
And with that, I'm going to suggest: Mukai Kohinata
He's from a family that departed from the Hyuga, leaving him with a natural one-eyed byakugan.

Usain Bolt could run 100 meters at 41km/h (25mph for the U.S. people) but couldn't run 41km in an hour... more like 12 to 15km (7.5-9 miles)
Ninjas in Naruto have amazing burst speeds, but that kind of movement would consume enormous cuantities of chakra... don't know, maybe Naruto or Jiraya could sustain that kind of speed for a prolonged amount of time, but for the 99% of shinobi, it would be more like a less than a minute/short amount of minutes kind of feat... then the great shinobi war pop up, and kakashi can use continuosly raikiri, kamui, clons and all kinds of stuff for 2 days and 1 nigth in a row, so maybe I'm totally wrong and planet N is a galaxy size planet; but I asume the 1.54 times the size asumption is about right... maybe between 1.54 to 2 times

If you assume that planet N is 13 times the size of Earth, then you need to account also for the length of a day. A larger planet means either longer days (increasing the number of hours and thus the size even more) or increase the rotational speed of the planet. In addition, gravity rises.

(This is ignoring the idea that on lower gravity a horse could theoretically move faster and for much longer periods of time)
To be extreme, it would be like calculating how fast a plane goes from amsterdam to new york (8-11 hours?, we'll call it [planetime]) compared to how fast a car can do that.
@ we have multiple statements that say “the literal speed of light”
4:20 I am pretty sure that only special breeds of horses can get up to 100 miles in a day. I know you are trying to be conservative by only saying they travel for 12 hours a day but horses can't stay running at galloping paces for prolonged periods of time.
5:54 I thought the lighter patch in the middle was the land at first and got a bit confused at first when you circled an "ocean", but still I think you are assuming based on that picture that there are three continents.
So you’re saying he wouldn’t be able to maintain 0.000001% of his top speed for a long period of time
You should do Attack on Titan geography

They're absurd
All that matters is that a character's feats are consistent relative to other characters
@@beepbeeplettuce_6943 why is it absurd?
Yeah so a few things here
1: Every living creature in Naruto has chakra, so the horses inherently are not like ours. That’s why I took the estimate I did. Even in real life, horses have been able to cover over 100 miles in a day WITH a rider and gear
2: The numbers given for horse travel includes terrain
3: Top speed is relevant because the fastest people in the world can sprint at ~30 mph, but ultra marathon runners can keep a ~5 mph pace for even a whole day on some occasions. So saying Kakashi can move at multiple times FTL at his fastest, but only 50-100 mph over long distances is weird because we’re talking about a difference of hundreds of millions of times lol

Boruto Era Kakashi is relative to Kashin Koji, who’s relative to 10% Jigen, who’s > Base Hokage Naruto. Base Hokage Naruto can react to and block attacks from Fused Momoshiki. Fused Momoshiki > Base Momoshiki ~ Kaguya > SPSM Naruto >>> light speed.
@@sageofthickcalves LOL! you're lost in the sauce the context of the story alone tells you that isn't true. they would get everywhere instantly never travel with boats, trains, etc. feats are uselss when the context strongly implies otherwise. they're not even reaching 1/1000th of lightspeed.
@@selfishbeats 1: There are definitive statements and showings getting characters to light speed in Naruto
2: Trains, horses, boats, etc are outright stated to be slower modes of travel than shinobi can move on foot, and they’re only used for the convenience of being able to rest while they travel
The way to other countries is not straight. And it adds to the distance.

4:40 Minato is exhausted and not really at full strength I am pretty sure
@@Redoren966 same with Kakashi
@@sageofthickcalves Not nearly as much and it doesn’t help Minato at one point was so tired he couldn’t do ftg. He also at one point outsped kamui with ftg so I am pretty sure Kakashi is a lot slower.
@@Redoren966 1: You could never prove he’s more fatigued
2: He’s not unable to use FTG in this moment
3: FTG isn’t movement speed. I was talking about movement speed
@@sageofthickcalves 1. Kakashi has a lot powers on displayed and Minato is shown with more puffs. We also see kcm leave him not long after this. We also no kcm does not keep you at the same speed if you have lower chakra
2. Yeah
3. Yes but ftg is relative to his speed not to mention kamui is shown faster than Kakashi is yet Minato has enough to out speed with a kunai and using ftg
@@Redoren966 1: Kakashi is literally huffing and puffing, running out of chakra multiple times throughout the war
2: Ok so he’s not completely fatigued
3: Kamui is only shown to be faster than Kakashi when he’s fresh, so able to use it at full power
What's kcm? 😅

Japanese gates could be more of translation choice or wording than anything because if teh said gate is in konoha. Then it should be called konoha-style gate. It could also be that "nihon" existed in past from which konohan culture is influenced.
Also kakashi's speed being used to measure all of ninja populace's is like measure iq of people in our world based off on Einstein's. Though im sure even a mere genin could travel 20/30 miles per hour.
Yeah Naruto in part 1 has a stated travel speed of Mach 5
I thought this said National Geographic, not Naruto geography 😅😂
