I have the same issue with my TRD short throw shifter. Inquired at the dealer and there is only one type made, RHD. I've contemplated measuring the angle, heating the shaft and angle it the same degrees to the left, thus eliminating the odd angle on LHD models. I've had it over 10 years and have never gotten used to it, as 1st feels like you're engaging 3rd instead.

i think the TRD shifter is RHD only.

you should do an 86 buying guide! might as well since you’ve owned a couple and it would help me (and anyone who’s in search for one) out a lot! keep up the great work man!

Lot of work to do that all in the time you spent! I like the fact that you just dive in to the light switch. That's how I learned most of what I know. " Just dive in! " fix it! Don't buy it. A lost talent. Makes me happy to see people doing such things. Anyone can Change out parts- not many can actually repair things. Keep sharing. I'm still learning everyday!

That gas tank was nasty looking. I think... if you ever get to interview the previous owner, you should make a list of things to 'politely' tease him about. More so if he has a new project car.

When I redo my interior, I always pressure wash my carpet.. it really cuts down on floating interior dust.. good job man, I like how it’s not a nice new interior nor is it raggedy.. it just has a nice used look to it and it’s complete

I'm really appreciating these frequent uploads. I know shit can be hard to film, but I'd love to see it. Even if it is a solid minute of you cussing at it. Dope vids.

It's true brotha. The TRD short shifter is rhd specific. I've heard of guys re fabing them to be lhd specific but that's a lot of work. It's coming together mang! You need some kouki or zenki bumpers now! Keep it up!

great job man! I so enjoy your vids, thanks for the switch and cluster workaround,. I have an ae86 myself, it's a coupe, I pulled down the fuel cell cuz fuel pump stopped working, and the fuel cell was in mint condition and the pump just needed a couple of knocks and it stared working again. I mentioned this cuz it amazed me the difference in condition of both cells and it's the same car.
