The previous video I accused him of misplays, but in hindsight maybe I was being a bit harsh. His play was sub-optimal rather than totally counter-productive. This one was a horror show.
1:50 "We're playing a lot faster now which also means we're probably making mistakes." As he ends a turn with 1 energy left and a strike in hand because he forgot that he starts every combat with 4 energy now. Literally first turn of first combat misplay.
That Perfected Strike skip was the most painful. This early that's the "deck" card you're looking for. Now you know what to do for the rest of the run.
Ok, just no, NL, pls, the armaments plays are killing me Edit: also, attack the louse enemies whenever u can, their block expires after their turn, so striking them once isnt going to hinder you
Yeah, him not understanding louse enemies yet is annoying me SO MUCH. They only gain armor ONCE you EGG. They DO take damage THEN gain armor, and next turn it disappears like all armor do and never comes back. Frickin egg Edit: He finally understood it just as I wrote this.. i hope.. we will see
Jayden Potter 6eah hes fouht them times before, he's just overthinking it, but he probably has comment ptsd becuz of how many times hes called out on his missplays, xd
Hey Nl, I see you haven't picked up on some of the schicks of specific enemies so here are some tips: -The slimes split at whatever their hp is at the END of the interruption turn. So any damage dealt past 50% is essentially double damage. Leaving the big slime at 75 when he was charging up then next turn hitting with triple strike would have worked out a lot better. -The big white elite dude does not wake up if you don't attack him for I believe three turns, allowing you to have some space to breathe if you have setup cards like powers or just waiting for the perfect, all-attack hand. Before you attack on your first turn think if you could get a better hand.(not really relevant with your deck tho) -The curl up bugs you noticed at the end is best to hit a single time on each to get the blocks out of the way to lethal the next turn. There are a bunch more - As you can tell, one of the best things about the game is that each monster has it's own gimmick to play around - most of them you've figured out but there are some nuances like these. Keep these vids coming, they're some of the most entertaining stuff you've put out lately - probably because you're enjoying the game so much yourself. If you put in the time you'll start picking up the patterns and really improve. Good luck out there. (also please just get in the habit of checking your energy before you end your turn. it's your most frequent and preventable misplay)
Fuck off not relevant that the enemy is asleep for 3 turns. It sleeps with exactly 8 armor, so you can play Bash, it will apply vulnerable, but not wake him up, so you will start your next turn with free vulnerable 1. It is relevant for all Ironclad runs, pre Bash upgrade!
God NL please read this... I wanted to comment just to mention the slimes. How has he not realised that leaving them at highest split hp possible is the worst thing you can do?
I tweeted him about this as well. I'm not certain he even realized that Dropkicking that slime was an ideal play. At that point every damage is doubled because they split at current health when the turn ends.
I disagree, If you want to get cards to build a deck you need to do a lot of combat early, so unless I'm totally happy with my deck or worried about damage I usually go combat.
For the slimes that can split, I recommend knocking them as far past their half HP point in the turn you split them as possible since both halves will have the HP of the big one before splitting. If you bring it from 140 to 70, you have to fight 2 new slimes with 70 HP each. Alternatively, if you bring him to 71, and then on the next turn knock it down to like 40, you just saved yourself having to do an extra 60 points of damage. If it isn't a big attack turn that you need to immediately interrupt, it's okay to drag the fight out a bit to maximize your damage on the splitting turn.
OK les do this misplays of the day Day for episode 16 LETS DO IT! 1:51 starting strong with the first turn misplay not playing the extra strike with his extra lantern energy missing 9 damage could of got a turn 2 triple strike kill for the instant win 3:44 arguably taking true grit is a misplay as i believe he is not high enough level to have some of the exhaust synergy relics unlocked 5:03 played armaments to upgrade strike vs a non attacking enemy that flees be4 he will redraw the strike effectively losing 9 damage 11:00 miscalculated didnt play his bock and draw and even without the miscalc he forgot about becoming vuln on kill meaning he would of taken 9 if he wasn't a dummy and takes 12 for being a dummy 11:49 played true grit for less block and exhausted a card for no reason when a basic block was good enough there are a series of questionable plays vs the slime but not tried and true misplays just plays i disagree with 20:26 didnt use all mana lost 9 damage 23:45 please read enemy abilities! missed 6 damage and the opportunity to remove the block from the last fluffy worm for good 25:06 if ur planning to run a discard deck then dont pass up 2 discard synergies (even though trying to make a discard deck without all the unlocks is a mistake) 28:05 39 hp is more than enough to beat most bosses once you know there very predictable attack patterns if ur deck is constructed half way competently 30:18 exhausting ur limited defence for no benefit is not advisable vs a boss that can have some pretty heavy dps turns especially once he begins to split 30:33 hp on 2nd phase is directly proportional to the hp u leave him at when u split the worst case scenario is splitting him at 70 hp which is only advised if hes going to use crush and kill you he wasn't attacking so the correct play was to not make the last attack and pump as much dps as possible next turn to make him split at as low hp as possible making it easier to split the 2nd phase slimes 32:44 same as above u could of drop kicked for free making him split at a slightly more manageable 25 and even used a strike+ to make him split at 9 of used 2 strikes+'s for the kill (strike+ hits for 16 when hes vulnerable) though this leaves you at a slightly risky 8 hp alternatively u dropkick strike+ then defend for 6 and have 14 hp if ur confident you can kill the 2 9hp slimes some small mistakes in deck construction and minor misplays followed by some major misplays on the boss that cost you a very possible victory tune in tomorrow for more misplays of the day
Exhaust relics are almost exclusively shop items. The other is unlocked day 1... N00b. Also, would HAVE, or would'VE never would OF. Did you go to school in a cardboard box?
i believe the dead branch at least is a late unlock and ive had everything unlocked for over a week i cant remember the order i just remember that a number of archetype cards and relics are fairly high in the unlock tier im surprised thats the grammar mistake that triggered you the most honestly i dont care its understandable so does it really matter im writing a fun and educational comment for people to enjoy and to learn from for if they want to play themselves as this game is fairly merciless and 1-2 mistakes can cost u a run
I agree it was cool that he was trying new strategies but it was pretty clear it wasn't going to work, he should do more Slay the Spires streams so chat can help him with that.
Calipers are great later on. They're especially wonderful with The Silent, for tanking hits while your poison does the work. Remember, The Silent doesn't get Barricade, only Blur.
So don't under rate exhaust synergy when you get it (I believe it might be the strongest deck type in the game) just take these when you see them: dead branch.
Fun fact when the slime enemies split they news slimes start with the same health as what the big one has when it splits, so it is more effective to sometimes wait a turn to force the split so the smaller ones start with much less HP
The play with the giant slime would have been to not interrupt him when he wasn't attacking. Then take him down below half on the next turn. When he splits the next two have how ever much health he has left. The lower you can get it when he splits the better.
"it's a thinking mans deck" literally not understand how the splitting enemy mechanic works so instead of dropping 39 damage and forcing them to split with less than half HP you take a damage and use 1 attack :))))))))
The moment he got the slime to half with dropckicks... You could hear his gears in brain screeching. At that moment i knew it he will use the dropkick on the non-vurnelable one... and I WAS GODAMN RIGHT!
NL quick tip for the slime boss, when a slime splits the game uses its current hp for the resulting slimes. I usually end up trying to kill whichever color slime hurts my build. I think the blue is reduced armor returns and green is weakness. Ehh, hopefully that helped someone.
1:51 "That probably means were making mistakes" - Forgets about the relic he got 15 seconds ago that gives 1 extra energy. This video is gonna be fun :D
NL, just fyi. The split that slimes do is affected by it's remaining HP. So, when you plan to proc a slime's split, by lowering it's HP to half, deal as much damage as possible to lower it's HP as far as you can. This will help shorten fights with them, especially the Slime Boss. Also, outright killing the slime, before it can split, prevents it.
Don't forget to subscribe if you want to see more in the future, see you next time, don't forget to subscribe if you want to see more in the future etc
Just real quick. Whatever health the slimes have when they split is the amount of health this smaller ones will have. So you should keep hitting them even when they're about to split. Love the series, my dude. Keep this shit up. :)
“We’re playing a lot faster now, which means we’re probably making mistakes...” -Northernlion as he forgets to spend all 4 of his energy on his first play of the entire run.
Adding on to this, angry gremlin literally doesn't matter unless you're throwing out dagger sprays constantly. garbage base damage only upgrades when u hit him so just dont until he's the last one lmao Also, vs gremlin boss, optimal order is wizard > boss > rest literally does not matter, if he's above half health kill sign gremlins to waste his turns
Slash and sever soul are actually very good. All you have to do i either play all the skills in your hand at the time, which at the beginning of the game usually most times only 1 or 2 cards in your hand, then you have a free 14 damage with slash plus whatever other attack you have. The same can apply to sever soul except that it is an almost triple damage strike.
Exhaust Ironclad is an insane deck, if you can get both Dark Embrace (Whenever a card is Exhausted, draw 1 card) and Corruption (Skills cost 0. Whenever you play a Skill, Exhaust it) you can burn through your entire deck and thin it out to leave only your strongest attacks. They're Rare and Uncommon respectively though, so unless you happen to find Dark Embrace it's not worth planning towards this kind of deck.
I love you NL, I really enjoy your content and I wish you the best of wishes. I really think you try your best on these runs and I appreciate that you are doing this not only for content, but also because you really enjoy this game 😊
This is why its good to keep addicts away from other addicts. This is enabling me to play more of this game. I love the series, I hate my lack of willpower.
NL, the cards show you how much damage they will do to a specific enemy if you hover over the enemy with the card selected, without actually using the card
@23:33 Was so worried about the enemies gaining block every time he attacked, forgets they lose block at the end of their turn and only had one attack in his hand....smh
NL bit of advice about slime boss, you created your own darkest possible timeline by splitting him exactly. If you oversplit him his copies each spawn with his current hp, so oversplitting him as much as possible is like hitting his next phase's two enemies simultaneously. Plus (though this probably isn't something you needed to try to enable) it makes his next phase easier to potentially kill through the split by hitting maximum oversplit. All in all decent-ish run, your play could have used some work but mostly in areas you identified yourself, and the real kiss of death was going out on the exhaust synergy lark and it not working. I'll be generous and give it a D+, bordering on C-.
All the comments are mad about NL's misplays. I'm just stoked that I got a lightning in a bottle to apotheosis combo in my barricade deck, then dual wielded limit break into 100 strength and didn't take any damage on the 3rd floor boss.
NL....Ooooh NL. The slimes. The big ones in particular. You need to get the big slimes down as low as possible. If you get it down to exactly half the slime effectively comes back with full health but is now two enemies. If you bring it down as low as possible each small slime starts with the health that remains on the big slime. So 1 big w/30 hp turns to 2 slimes with 30 go each. 1 big slime taken down to 15 go creates 2 slimes w/ 15 hp. Halving the amount of damage you have to do.
When you hit him while they have curl up, they should lose the armor when it hits their turn so I believe you are good to hit if its the first attack while they have curl up. If you see what im saying.
Second Wind is a goood card, it works well with enemies that put status effects in your deck. Dont shy away from mass exhaust cards thats where The Ironclads forte is.
1st turn: don't use energy a few turns down the road: don't upgrade your offense even though you had more than enough defense regardless.......? and in no conceivable world didn't have enough block. NL you're really hurting me, and making me wanna own this game myself.
Due to the nature of the game, wouldn't Exhaust be a great mechanic to use to thin your deck mid-combat, allowing you to make a more versatile deck that you can customize mid-fight?
There's a reason you start with it. On occasion, I remove it before strike... usually when I get the early "upgrade strikes and defends" event. At 2 energy it's awful, and I think they might change it to upgrade to 1 energy and lower the extra vulnerable... just to make it even remotely useful passed the first I dunno... three rooms.
You should aim to interrupt the slime when it's going to do damage. You should also do as much damage on that turn to it as you can because the splitted slimes will copy that hp.
NL When fighting the group of 4 little pricks, just ignore the enrage guy. He only does 4 damage and never buffs himself, so leave him till last. Concentrate on the mage and the red ones that weaken you.
He picks up dropkick which is at best a 0 cost deal 5 damage draw a card but passes up on anything else similar like dagger throw or whatever it's called.
Hey NL, you are getting better at this, still misplaying but not as hard or often, just a bit of advice for slime boss, if you are gonna split a slime, just do as much damage to it that turn as possible- the slimes split into two copies with the exact amount of health they are left with, so if you hit the 30 health medium slime they’d be far weaker. Similarly, the boss slime could have been left at 75 health that turn, where you could then go all out next turn, lowering him more than usual without needing to block the rest. Slimes can be rough, but a lil thinking of when to split and when not to split can help a lot.
there is misplays, overlooked opertunities and mistakes, and then there is egg level of failure the amout of stupid mistakes this man makes for no other reason than what has to be that he turned his brain off, some one should make a misplay montage
On the beta branch they changed those weird floating things wound ability to give dazes instead, and TBH it makes the fight more bearable, especially if you don't have a lot of DMG
"We're playing a lot faster now, that probably means we're making more mistakes" he says as forgets to use his 4th energy.
ChozotheBozo also 1 minute into the video
He ends several other turns with 1/3 energy. It's such an issue I tweeted him about it. = D
ChozotheBozo I laughed so hard
sad part it happens atleast once every video
Literally the first turn in the entire video was a big misplay.
THE FIRST TURN HE MISSES AN ENERGY. EGG
He also said “we’re played by fast, probably gonna make some mistakes
Starting the misplay as soon as possible.
Yep, paused the video just to find this inevitable comment and like it
The previous video I accused him of misplays, but in hindsight maybe I was being a bit harsh. His play was sub-optimal rather than totally counter-productive.
This one was a horror show.
I came to the comments to find this exact post.
"this is a thinking man's deck right now"
~northernlion, 2018
doomed from that moment lol
Keegan3005 man he is NL... Doomed for that from the beginning
1:50 "We're playing a lot faster now which also means we're probably making mistakes." As he ends a turn with 1 energy left and a strike in hand because he forgot that he starts every combat with 4 energy now. Literally first turn of first combat misplay.
fallouthirteen thoght completly the same haha 😂
He ends several other turns with 1/3 energy. It's such an issue I tweeted him about it. = D
and we're not doing misplays NL, you're the one doing it so don't use "we"
he could not even finish the scentence before the frist mistake
He HAS to be trolling us!
NL- "I want to have an exhaust synergy"
Also NL- *skips 2 second winds and a sever soul*
That Perfected Strike skip was the most painful. This early that's the "deck" card you're looking for. Now you know what to do for the rest of the run.
Scroobadoobop in his defense he doesn’t have the unlocks yet to make exhaust really work.
IamI3rian I did an Ironclad “strike” deck and it was amazing. By the third floor perfected strike was doing 60ish damage
Curl Up: The new "No key" meta
we all agreed to never talk about "no key meta" ever again.
ryan ends his first turn with one extra mana and a strike card
we're in for a wild ride bois
Harpo Bobertson hahahahahahahahahaha fantastic comment 😂✌
I literally cried out of laughter after reading and seeing it xD that's why I watch him
MANA
Not even the only time he does it either.
Guys guys, ik that first turn looked bad, but atleast he eggnoledged it, hes learning
Egg-no-loged? What?
IamI3rian acknowledged, but with...eggs...
Oh... I can see why you opted out of EggKnowledged it. = )
That's certainly not what happened. X D
IamI3rian probably coulda spelled it differently, in hindsight
Eggzactly
Please don't stop uploading STS, it's so good to watch.
Ok, just no, NL, pls, the armaments plays are killing me
Edit: also, attack the louse enemies whenever u can, their block expires after their turn, so striking them once isnt going to hinder you
Htown1738 this, so much THIS
Yeah, him not understanding louse enemies yet is annoying me SO MUCH. They only gain armor ONCE you EGG. They DO take damage THEN gain armor, and next turn it disappears like all armor do and never comes back. Frickin egg
Edit: He finally understood it just as I wrote this.. i hope.. we will see
Plus, even if they were to trigger every time, *block goes away after a turn,* so he'd still be dealing damage.
Jayden Potter 6eah hes fouht them times before, he's just overthinking it, but he probably has comment ptsd becuz of how many times hes called out on his missplays, xd
Hey Nl, I see you haven't picked up on some of the schicks of specific enemies so here are some tips:

Fuck off not relevant that the enemy is asleep for 3 turns. It sleeps with exactly 8 armor, so you can play Bash, it will apply vulnerable, but not wake him up, so you will start your next turn with free vulnerable 1.
It is relevant for all Ironclad runs, pre Bash upgrade!
But, in this case, one energy less. So, not really relevant here
It's still worth thinking about.
God NL please read this... I wanted to comment just to mention the slimes. How has he not realised that leaving them at highest split hp possible is the worst thing you can do?
32:40 You can kill the slime. (9+9+5)*1.5 is more than 30.
I tweeted him about this as well. I'm not certain he even realized that Dropkicking that slime was an ideal play. At that point every damage is doubled because they split at current health when the turn ends.
You really should go question matks more often, they are better for you than combat.
If it isn't a big attack turn that you need to immediately interrupt, it's okay to drag the fight out a bit to maximize your damage on the splitting turn.
OK les do this misplays of the day Day for episode 16 LETS DO IT!
1:51 starting strong with the first turn misplay not playing the extra strike with his extra lantern energy missing 9 damage could of got a turn 2 triple strike kill for the instant win
3:44 arguably taking true grit is a misplay as i believe he is not high enough level to have some of the exhaust synergy relics unlocked
5:03 played armaments to upgrade strike vs a non attacking enemy that flees be4 he will redraw the strike effectively losing 9 damage
11:00 miscalculated didnt play his bock and draw and even without the miscalc he forgot about becoming vuln on kill meaning he would of taken 9 if he wasn't a dummy and takes 12 for being a dummy
11:49 played true grit for less block and exhausted a card for no reason when a basic block was good enough
there are a series of questionable plays vs the slime but not tried and true misplays just plays i disagree with
20:26 didnt use all mana lost 9 damage
23:45 please read enemy abilities! missed 6 damage and the opportunity to remove the block from the last fluffy worm for good
25:06 if ur planning to run a discard deck then dont pass up 2 discard synergies (even though trying to make a discard deck without all the unlocks is a mistake)
28:05 39 hp is more than enough to beat most bosses once you know there very predictable attack patterns if ur deck is constructed half way competently
30:18 exhausting ur limited defence for no benefit is not advisable vs a boss that can have some pretty heavy dps turns especially once he begins to split
30:33 hp on 2nd phase is directly proportional to the hp u leave him at when u split the worst case scenario is splitting him at 70 hp which is only advised if hes going to use crush and kill you he wasn't attacking so the correct play was to not make the last attack and pump as much dps as possible next turn to make him split at as low hp as possible making it easier to split the 2nd phase slimes
32:44 same as above u could of drop kicked for free making him split at a slightly more manageable 25 and even used a strike+ to make him split at 9 of used 2 strikes+'s for the kill (strike+ hits for 16 when hes vulnerable) though this leaves you at a slightly risky 8 hp alternatively u dropkick strike+ then defend for 6 and have 14 hp if ur confident you can kill the 2 9hp slimes
some small mistakes in deck construction and minor misplays followed by some major misplays on the boss that cost you a very possible victory
tune in tomorrow for more misplays of the day
Exhaust relics are almost exclusively shop items. The other is unlocked day 1... N00b.

PLAY THIS GAME MORE.
Actually the worst deck i have ever seen.
To be fair, he was trying different stuff. This is the kind of thing you do OFF CAMERA, but yeah... he tried out some new stuff.
I agree it was cool that he was trying new strategies but it was pretty clear it wasn't going to work, he should do more Slay the Spires streams so chat can help him with that.
It couldve worked if he left calipers behind (calipers must be a troll item the developers intentionally put in the game to mess with the players)
He apparently has been binge playing and has a several week backlog now. = )
Calipers are great later on. They're especially wonderful with The Silent, for tanking hits while your poison does the work. Remember, The Silent doesn't get Barricade, only Blur.
It's like the egg starts up the game and just forgets every single game mechanic he's learned previously.
So don't under rate exhaust synergy when you get it (I believe it might be the strongest deck type in the game) just take these when you see them: dead branch.
Medical Kit and Strange Spoon (both shop items) are super decent too.
advanced strats. if you get an artifact that upgrades a card, check your card rewards before taking it in case you want to upgrade one of those.

23:44: he only gets block after you hit him. What are you doing?
WizardofWestmarch he thinks the block would still be up next turn.
I know why, but that shows he forgot how block even WORKS. It always drops when your next turn starts.
WizardofWestmarch I wanted to believe he thought they had barricade. I can't comprehend how else he could get it wrong.
I will always upvote Slay the Spire. Keep playing this game for eternity.
"I don't want to toot my own horn.... Its a thinking mans deck" Are you sure about that egg?
Enemorio tl that's why he died
Nothing says thinking man like spamming bash in the worst possible moments.
20:20 Couldn't he have used that last Strike plus, instead of ending the turn with one every remaining?
This has to be on purpose. It's not possible
The moment he got the slime to half with dropckicks... You could hear his gears in brain screeching. At that moment i knew it he will use the dropkick on the non-vurnelable one... and I WAS GODAMN RIGHT!
"All I wana do is play Slay the Spire" Literally what happened to me NL. Love this game
I just looked at the date of the early access build and the backlog scared me.
NL quick tip for the slime boss, when a slime splits the game uses its current hp for the resulting slimes. I usually end up trying to kill whichever color slime hurts my build. I think the blue is reduced armor returns and green is weakness. Ehh, hopefully that helped someone.
LET'S GOOOOO I'm actually so addicted to this series
1:51 "That probably means were making mistakes" - Forgets about the relic he got 15 seconds ago that gives 1 extra energy. This video is gonna be fun :D
please never stop playing slay the spire
I’m so glad to have followed this late and observe your improvement
Upgraded true grit lets you >pick< which card to exhaust. Super worth it.
zzz he could kill green blob ( boss one before it split) and easily win that one
32:28 dropkick + 2x strike+ = 1.5(5+9+9) = 1.5 * 23 > 30 :[

I hear, "look at all the stupid mistakes I can make."
That opening turn!
I can't get over how many times he upgraded a defend instead of a strike when he already had enough armor.
someday ryab will learn to kill Gremlin Wizard first. Not today, but someday.
Adding on to this, angry gremlin literally doesn't matter unless you're throwing out dagger sprays constantly. garbage base damage only upgrades when u hit him so just dont until he's the last one lmao
Also, vs gremlin boss, optimal order is wizard > boss > rest literally does not matter, if he's above half health kill sign gremlins to waste his turns
Keegan Shaky McCullough i came looking for this comment.
When the first turn has misplays, you know it's gonna be a good episode
"We're playing fast that probably means we're making mistakes..."
Ends turn with energy remaining. 😂

Strange spoon and Medkit are much more reasonable asks.
GJ seeing those super rares once each though! Now you look like you know what's up!
I love you NL, I really enjoy your content and I wish you the best of wishes. I really think you try your best on these runs and I appreciate that you are doing this not only for content, but also because you really enjoy this game 😊
17:59 NL plays Shrug It Off instead of attacking to save 1 damage.
This is all you need to upload, we are here for the misplays and the resultant improbable victories.
He hasn't won twice. Lucky win should be singular mate.
You're right, but also I meant every single battle haha
This is why its good to keep addicts away from other addicts. This is enabling me to play more of this game. I love the series, I hate my lack of willpower.
In today’s episode NL fights a gang of 4 goblins. The entire episode.
Pro Tip:
If you only listen and not watch this series, it's much more peaceful since you miss most of the misplays..... which are numerous
-Egg Boi
-Misplays
-Don't use endless agony
-Memes
-Misplays
-More memes
ps. love the series
please 2 a day its so entertaining
I love watching you play this
"Hey that clash synergy was the first and only win we've ever had, lets never try it again."
14:30 "At least we're only going to take 10 damage here." Come the fuck again? 15 block, when they're dealing 31.
NL, the cards show you how much damage they will do to a specific enemy if you hover over the enemy with the card selected, without actually using the card
@23:33
Was so worried about the enemies gaining block every time he attacked, forgets they lose block at the end of their turn and only had one attack in his hand....smh
"We're playing a lot faster now, that probably means we're making more mistakes" As he pick basically a full def deck.
I LOVE THIS SERIES NORE THAN LIFE ITSELF
Wow that ₑₓₕₐᵤₛₜ ₛyₙₑᵣgy was so strong
Loving the series sending big love across the pond to my favourite egg (also Kate n the cats)
when you do an exhaust run, you should prep exhaust cards
I really enjoy this series NL, thanks :D
NL....Ooooh NL. The slimes. The big ones in particular. You need to get the big slimes down as low as possible. If you get it down to exactly half the slime effectively comes back with full health but is now two enemies. If you bring it down as low as possible each small slime starts with the health that remains on the big slime. So 1 big w/30 hp turns to 2 slimes with 30 go each. 1 big slime taken down to 15 go creates 2 slimes w/ 15 hp. Halving the amount of damage you have to do.
isn't it possible to infinitely drop kick if you have a small enough deck or is there something preventing that like min deck size?
Roxas7713 Nope. Infinity combos are always possible except against the Time Eater boss.
the isnt was used in a weird way sorry but yea i thought so that boss seems like a jerk, but its probably a good thing that exists.
When an enemy has something that affects damage taken you can hover over that enemy with an attack to preview the damage it will take on the card.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness.
When you hit him while they have curl up, they should lose the armor when it hits their turn so I believe you are good to hit if its the first attack while they have curl up. If you see what im saying.
NORTH please when an enemy is vulnerable hover the attack card on him and it will auto calculate the damage on the card no need to use ur bad math XD
He knows this, the backlog however is immense.
Second Wind is a goood card, it works well with enemies that put status effects in your deck. Dont shy away from mass exhaust cards thats where The Ironclads forte is.
1st turn: don't use energy
a few turns down the road: don't upgrade your offense even though you had more than enough defense regardless.......? and in no conceivable world didn't have enough block.
NL you're really hurting me, and making me wanna own this game myself.
Due to the nature of the game, wouldn't Exhaust be a great mechanic to use to thin your deck mid-combat, allowing you to make a more versatile deck that you can customize mid-fight?
1:47 just look at the energy real hard everybody
Upgraded true grit is amazing. It's basically a poor man's remove and has lots of nice synergies. Just upgrade it ASAP(after armaments of course).
The exhaust synergy can be real, but I wouldn't force it so early in the game. You don't have enough of a deck to be freely tossing cards away.
Love this series NL!
Ryan... The health you drop a slime to is the health the split slimes will have.
This obsession with bash (which is actually just a bad card TBH) keeps getting you hurt
Welcome back! To... Northernlion Misplays every other hand he is dealt.
Love this series can't wait for the next character which hopefully will be a cool ass mage
You should aim to interrupt the slime when it's going to do damage. You should also do as much damage on that turn to it as you can because the splitted slimes will copy that hp.
To be honest, I think last run was pretty good. This one is like...
I mean, I totally agree with what he said at 35:01.
You should do a 2 to 1 poison run. Every 2 poison cards you get, take a defense card. Cards that give extra energy are allowed.
3:40 ..little did he know exhaust decks are zany as hell, wish he would get Charon's Ashes or the tree branch relic just once.
NL When fighting the group of 4 little pricks, just ignore the enrage guy. He only does 4 damage and never buffs himself, so leave him till last. Concentrate on the mage and the red ones that weaken you.
when the slimes are about to split any extra damage carries on through... you even read it out on a previous video and still didn't do it
Props for trying the new deck! and since you probably know what went wrong by this point haha. I'll just say Love the videos!
"We're playing a lot faster, so it means we're making more mistakes." Immediately wastes one energy.
On the beta branch they changed those weird floating things wound ability to give dazes instead, and TBH it makes the fight more bearable, especially if you don't have a lot of DMG
Sentries, and they still suck. = )
