My doctors advice :
A caution in using HbA1c test.
The test is heavily dependent on ones haemoglobin levels. That is how test works.
If there are variations in HbA1c results, get Haemoglobin also tested.

But according to my experience and observation hba1c shows high sugar level when one is anaemic and the number returns to normal when haemoglobin level is increased. This is bacause the sugar level is directly linked to hb level.
So don't panic when your hba1c is high and also you are anaemic. Read the result with reference to fasting and post prandial results.

My a1c was 6.6 on 26.10.21, 7.7 on 27.4.22, 6.6 on 12 .7.23, 7.3 on 18.10.23, and 6.6 on 19.1.24.( with tables 1/2 morning 1/2 night as advise of docter). 4months over. Shall require to continue or stop the tablet...please advise.

I dont think you are a diabetic. Reduce medicines to half for 3 months and check again. These so called diabetic experts do not give right advise. I was a diabetic as per doctors. But changed my food habits as per Dr. Khader Vali's you tube lectures and my Hbaic is 6,4......as per him we need not bother much if HBa1c less than 7 without medicines.
