This was a great idea for a video! That is quite a significant difference between both hotels. I'm sure there are many more budget-friendly hotels in Bangkok which are much better. I would love to see more videos like this one! By the way, I loved the segment of you shining the UV light on yourself, lol!

In Spain on the Camino my worst hostel had an old lady matron who yelled at me for other peoples issues. The room was cramped and semi private and compared to other places expensive

As A Thai person, the worst review hotel seem worse than the dorm I was stayed in when I was studying the university😅 . It’s somewhat make me think of Thai Military BOQs though.

Interesting internet speeds... 24mbps upload is really high for a 5mbps download. 24 down, 5 up would sound a lot more normal.
This look luxe compared to many hostels I’ve stayed in haha
I was born in Asia and moved to the U.S in my teen yrs. I have to say this is not the worst place I have seen. Usually in the South East and other part of Asia, I think only middle to high end places would provide you toilet paper. That is why we tend to have tissue paper with us when we go restroom in the public bec they don't provide or you have to pay for it. That is the typical restroom. You would use the water for everything and it would drain out. I think it is a habit of my family. When we travel around the U.S, we bring our own sheet, blanket and some towels bec most of them are not clean. All we want is to crash after the long day so it gave us a peace of mind.
Wow, that hotel seems amazing! If you said, it was $1000/night, I would have believed it to be reasonable for all that :)

if you love to stay in a hostel..then i recommend the pamahouse hostel..very clean and quite at nite..you will have a pleasant stay and sleep well

Typical. I hate to state stereotypes but in the US, a lot of Indian/Pakistanis are buying the comfort in style hotels and they charge you the same rates but provide no service, no food, minimal towels, dirty rooms basically nothing. They still use the pandemic excuse saying we don’t have breakfast anymore or clean rooms because of it. Its sad, but all they do is rip you off.

There are many types of hotels in Thailand that you can select to suit your needs and you can afford them. The five-star hotels are surely expensive but you will get luxurious facilities provided.
In comparison of hotels in S.E.Asian countries with the Western countries,
it’s true that hotels in Asia are cheaper and most of them provide very good service with hospitality mind.
I’d like to say that every country has good things and bad things,it depends on your choices to encounter them or not.
Seek good things for your life and avoid the bad ones.
Find pleasant places in Thailand, enjoy lots of yummy foods and fresh fruits ,meet friendly people and relax yourself in beautiful islands in the south.
Except Thailand is being taken over by South Asians, West Asians and Muslim Malays!

That worst one was pretty sketch. I’ve probably stayed in something slightly nicer when I was younger haha. The best reviewed one……nice! Have to take note for whenever I visit Bangkok

That worst reviewed hotel was better than 90% of the places I stayed in my backpacking days! But they probably weren't listed anywhere online. I didn't mind at the time, but couldn't do it now. Need more luxury in my life like the second place!

As a Thai, I and my family don't use toilet paper at all, because we use bum gun on the side of toilet to clean things and then use towel, they probably expect Thai customers.

Actually it's quite normal that he pointed the trash bin talking about the toilet paper because in Thailand DON'T FLUSH THE TOILET PAPER !!! It clog the pipes so most people here only use the bum gun and almost no toilet paper
