That train ride did not look comfortable at all! At least the experiences around Bangkok and then eventually in Chiang Mai made it all worth it. It's too bad that the main lantern festival in Chiang Mai was called off, but I'm glad you were able to go to one the next day outside the city. It is a great reward for fulfilling such a challenging challenge! Awesome video, Lexie!

Was there at the lantern festival in Chiang Mai as well this year, it was an interesting one! A fire started later in the evening and it was quite wild! Thankfully no one was hurt.
2018/2019, i loved how inexpensive the perfectly fine 3rd class trains were in Thailand. you save heaps of money travelling on them. get plenty of chances to mingle with ordinary Thais (outside the tourist areas) and the scenery from the open windows is always super. that's what i call a win-win-win ! merry christmas - Walkie Talkie Traveller :)

I learned that the US dollar can go very far in Thailand. However, I also learned that there is a limit to how to travel at the expense of saving a few bucks. I would have flown rather than take the bus and train. Nonetheless, it was a real valuable experience and education.

I feel for him, but also so glad that I love spicy food. I have a ton of odd severe food allergies, but knowing I can handle a heap of heat is mildly comforting. Too bad I'm probably allergic to whatever he ordered, but I might have to try it, if epipens ever get cheap lol

Could you do a video on working with your videographer? Obviously, working with one at a home base is much different than a travel channel. Do you both approve the trip and dates or did he just kinda sign up for whatever you are feeling?

Buses and old trains always cheap and can bring u anywhere in Thailand easily, cheers

I think I met that massage guy but he was in Lumphini park and he said he was the masseur for famous Thai boxers. He gave me a sample massage but I didn't pay him, it felt good though
Probably cheaper to just fly from Phuket via BKK to Chaing Mai and not endure all that

13 Hour bus ride YUK No air condition I would have split. Mr fix it was funny. Dinner looked yummy. Absolutely love the train market. Awesome floating market Yummy dinner. Love cotton candy. You got scammed by some 1 [ unless this was made during the virus ] videos are made daily about thr free lantern festival. You pay about $$100 US to ride the boat and put lantern in water. Absolutely Awesome Try
What about Bolivia? It's more budget friendly than Thailand.

Take care of your skin, you are only 24! Good video, felt a little rushed and very staged. I have traveled with friends that route and took us 2 days. U can also get cheaper street food noodle bowls for .15-35 cents
