Correction for the video. I was disappointingly clouded out of the Eclipse so I only got to see it get dark. The sun peeked from behind the clouds for a grand total of 30 seconds the entire 2 and a half hours the moon was in front of the sun and I missed totality entirely.

I saw the partial eclipse over here in Alabama on the first day of my last year of Elementary school. Now I am a senior in high school and about to go watch it again!

The full eclipse went straight over my home in Austin Texas and we saw it from our backyard. It was super cool!

I actually just bought a pre-production hydro second hand the other day. I’m super excited for it to arrive.
I really like the sound on mine as well I find it's a really quiet and clicky as well I don't get nearly as many comments when I flip it around family about it being annoying or loud I have the original spacers I tend to find that the grip is pretty good on the side with the standard sandwich
The Hydro is a fantastic balisong def my fav to flip at the moment. I thought the shorter handles would be an issue but the balance is great they obviously put a lot of work into this.

The eclipse was in full totality for three minutes over my house, pictures don’t do it justice. Looking at it without glasses on when it becomes total is a once in a lifetime experience. So cool

Honestly one of my earlier favorites was the squidtrainer so although my preferences are quite different, I still have a soft spot for the slightly shorter, squareish but rounded handles like on the bermuda or triton, I can't wait to try out a hydro :0

lmao 10/10 tolerances. mine has a side that was never surface ground so it makes tolerances terrible
tbf it's not THAT small it's got the same dimensions as a squidtrainer, just less chunky handles. i do like the balance, it weirdly feels similar to a more angular tsunami, but i wish it chaplined better since it has a good bit of pivot weight. granted i haven't tried a full production one yet, but while i have grown on it a fair bit i am disappointed in what i got with its weird issues for.. a measly $20 discount when a willhirsch code would take off more
My total solar eclipse was about 89% coverage. but it rained
I also live near where the eclipse happened and I thought it was really cool
I got to see it but we had like 50% visibility so it wasn’t the best, I’m happy to see it because there eont be another eclipse like this in the US for on other 21 years.
I think the next one going through the US is in 2044

Where I live it was only about a 40% eclipse AND it was cloudy all day so I didn’t see anything. Bummer

I'm really digging mine as I've been getting into shorter balis as of recently. I'd also highly recommend the Zippy lighter than stock ass weight inserts and nothing in the blade.
My, preproduction, the only thing i noticed that was wonky was the angles at the tanto area of the blade.
eclipse was cool my school gave everyone glasses free but everyone just looked at it with their eyes so now we might be a school for the blind but we got to see a 100% solar eclipse so

I just ordered a vulp and a glydr pacific after me and my homie were playing with a cheap 20 dollar one and broke it but how often do you do maintenance on your balisongs? Or is it just situational when you get tap or play

Senora was made with the same machine, so its on hiatus for now til they stop producing those or find a better alternative.

Really liking my #16/400 First Production Hydro which I picked up at BS Texas - it is buttery smooth. Regarding The Event today, I'm lucky because my hometown is directly in the total eclipse path - so my traveling to see it entails walking out my front door. 😛

im glad squid is continuing to develop knives and push the hobby further. but man that has got to be one of the most ugly/simple looking balisongs ive ever seen. it looks like an unfinished prototype
