Written by Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman
Lyrics:
You told me I'd never leave you baby
But I don't believe this is happening all over again
I was such a fool
To think that you would ever change your ways
Even put your hand upon your heart
And said that no-one else can take my place
How was I so blind
I trusted every single word you said
I know I should have seen the light
But I just let your love go to my head
I've taken you back before 'cause you told me you've changed
Looked in my eyes and said
Believe me, then you
Broke my heart and deceived me, when you
Said you never could leave me
But its happening all over again (no, no, no)
I promised to myself
I'd never make the same mistakes again (same mistakes)
And though I looked for someone else
I never really want to walk away
It seems that your just the same, I forgot all the pain
Look in your eyes, you said
Believe me, then you
Broke my heart and deceived me, when you
Said you never could leave me
But its happening all over again
But its happening all over again
(You said believe me)
But its happening all over again
(Deceived me)
But its happening all over again
(Believe me)
But its happening all over again
But its happening all over again
I've taken you back before 'cause you told me you've changed
Looked in my eyes and said
Believe me, then you
Broke my heart and deceived me, when you
Said you never could leave me
But its happening all over again

Yet ANOTHER Stock Aitken Waterman masterpiece!!!!!!!! When this played in Miami clubs there was NO space on the dance floor!!!!!!!!
Still now days classics
Masterpiece, lol.
Stock širokem waterman..they best dancefllor music🎉
great comment !!!
really? i didnt know anyone played them in US
I was on Leave whilst serving with the Royal Military Police in Germany when I saw this on This morning back in February 1990. Made me smile when I got back to unit lines in Germany. They played the hell out of this in the nightclubs there. Today I'd go right back to that time and stay there
Did you ever know terry and Wayne Lancaster? They're family of mine that was in the RMP at the time. Uncle terry was a warrant officer and my cousin Wayne would've just signed up in 1990 so would've been a lance corporal.
Just the best
I saw it on This Morning too. Seem to remember she was puttering around Albert Dock(?) in a motor boat or something similar. She was the SAW star that never was really, which is a shame because she was certainly an improvement on Big Fun and the Reynolds Girls.
I was born February 1990
I'm 73 and still love this song from England yrs and yrs ago when I was young ah x
Such a brilliant catchy song. Brings me back to 1990. So good.
@@AnthonyD-yy2in How interesting! Tell me more about what places you have lived in.
I had the single on CD. I woke up this morning of September 2023 and the song kept turning in my head. I never seen actually the clip until this day of September 2023. Back in the 90s i was a student (i'm from Morocco) going to the US to complete my studies and my english was very poor, i couldn't understand what she was singing about but i'd still listen and enjoy the song. It took me 33 years to find the time to watch the video. Now i'm fine. Back then the the music, the fun, the joy, the clubs in Morocco were like no other.
Miss these days 😪 love the tunes x
The Italiano house mix of this song is EPIC….👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
I didn't even click that this was Stock, Aitken and Waterman. That explains why it's so good. They absolutely nailed dance music in that era.
A lot of their music sounded the same but I loved it.
#BigCliveLiveBearClub
I like Pete Waterman, hit man and her was cool.
me neither but when ya listen ya can tell. It`s just misssing black blond ,clive? lol
They need to regroup and bring back the nostalgia to 2020!
My favourite Stock Aitken Waterman song.
Mine, too. 😊
先ほど久々にこのCDを聴きました♪いい曲は今でも色褪せませんね😊
Please let it happen all over again and come back Lonnie to the music scene with these fantastic tunes. 🕺💃
Music has well evolved lol,why am I even listening to this?,I was intrigued lol
Different from SAW .loved it.
Gr8 singer, gr8 songs but one of the most boring videos since kylie" hand on your heart".
Need more of these songs 👌
One of the most uplifting melodies of all time
1990, but still has major 80s vibes going on! I had this song on a flexi-disc included with breakfast cereal lol
Well tbf it was only 1 year off lol. Was recorded in 1989 anyway.
It’s very 1990
Breakfast is happening over again
@@BossySwan laugh of the day. Or morning at least 😀
Written and recorded in 1989 but most songs in 1990 had late 80s vibe
日本のDISCOでも流行しました!!とても良い曲ですよね!大好きです♪
I was 11 years old back in 1990 and when this first came out I couldn’t get enough of this, it started my interest in club music. I have been looking for this for over 30 years.
I met Lonnie randomly after a party where she sang and she is FIERCE and a legend !
Saw Her In Leeds Met her Lovely Lady
She trusted every single word you said
I danced round my handbag to this tune a few times lol, good times, leaving the nightclub at 2.00 in the morning, stopping off at the burger van before going home, brings back good memories 💕💕

So Many Memories Of Great People And Great Times. Its Happening All Over Again. Thank You For This Supreme Classic.
Haven`t heard this one for ages. I think I was on a bus going from Auckland, NZ up to Bay of Island, in March 1990 when this song was played on the radio. Brings back good memories of my best holiday ever! Greetings from Oslo

You can't beat this type of music, love it❤️

Better times. Great singer.
I love this type my fav has to be Kym Sims "Too Blind To See It"
To think I haven't heard this song since 1990 but still remember the title leading me here is mind boggling - a testament to the song's creators.
This quarantine has brought me back to the nostalgic music
Been here for a while now...
Decided to stay here..

Bring back the 90s great times 👍
1:40... 1989.... best vocal sampling in pop music, no auto-tune, just talent and samplers😃
1990 not 1989
absolutely right !
This song is a killer for those who had their heart broken;it's so poignant and wistful. That's at least how I feel when I listen to it
OMG this song is soooo good :)
I was 8 in 1988, on the waltzers at the local fun fair. I remember being amazed and had never heard a song like it in my life! What a tuneeee x
those waltzers must hast have opened a time rift.
Might have been 1990 but still one of the best songs of the 90's
I would say this is technically an 80's song as it would have been written/recorded late 1989 at latest 😁
I heard this song at an australian shopping center today. Brought back happy memories. Its on repeat now
Yesssss just don’t have the heart a proper good un and Donna summers song is my summer of love, with my bf who is my husband

30 years ago.. 1990! Still as fresh as when I listened back then. 1990 so much better than 2020 is.. stay safe everyone x
I totally adore this song!!!! Ms Gordon has a nightingale voice and she helped me to become alive as a student in my world of study, books, exams and made me rediscover I need a human touch in my live x x x
Such a classic, always gets people on the dance floor when it comes on.
Lonnie Gordon a Diva of the Dance floor simply a great voice!
Pure and utter class .Lonnie voice is powerful and dynamic .THIS is pure and utter genuine dance Stock ,aitken and waterman showing why in 80's ,into the90's THEY were the lords of their craft
Steve played this on Radio2 the other day and it's been in my head ever since - I keep mouthing the 'woo' bit while dancing around the living room. Great tune.
Serious jockin no G
I loved her...it’s like 20 years later...who else was a 80s school kid?
Me! 55 and still love this!
I haven't heard this song in 43 years! As soon as I heard the opening notes I thought: "Stock Aitken Waterman!" Reminded me of the intro to Donna Summer "This Time I Know It's For Real".
Wow, I love that Donna summer song
Is this is a Stock Aitken Waterman song?
Superb song a classic wish we could just go back in time.
Yes
Yes and one of their very best. Outstanding dance classic
It was originally written for Donna Summer for her 2nd PWL album which never came to fruition.
Matgo Styles yes you are so right. Had this been her follow up to happening all over again I reckon she would have had many more hits
So do I better society
最高❣️最高❣️最高❣️
懐かしい✨✨✨💃🎶
あなたに感謝致します🙏😊
from Japan〜🇯🇵
I always loved this song, in particular, the back-up vocals are so incredible. And they are even better on Lonnie's first main hit, "If I Have To Stand Alone." In my opinion, in this time period If I Have To Stand Alone, was the most uplifting song out there.
Still sounding great after all these years love this take me back to my dancing days ♥️
This is a great great song. Superb...one for a lifetime
Omg I loved this back in the day!!
Heard this for the first time in over 20 years on radio 2 and really made me smile such a brilliant tune, think I bought this on 7 “ vinyl
Wonder Years!
this was a clip on radio 2s 10 to the top section today which gave me the name of the song to come find it here!
Great song full of energy and enthusiasm and can't help singing along

Forgot how good this song is. ❤❤
Such good club memories! She has such a rich voice. And her facial expressions, “don’t mess!”
🎵look in my eyes, and said🎵...this really was a dancefloor classic.
How can this fantastic song only have 43.258 views? Stock, Aitken and Waterman in my opinion the best music writing trio in pophistory
Wait until it features on a videogame, then this track will go blazing across the internet like a digital meteor.
@@Mark_H101 Don't see why. A million better tracks don't and won't.
That is the biggest pile of crap ever spoken in a loooonnnnggg time! Hilarious, you really CAN'T mean it. 'Best writing trio"? As opposed to what. Man discovering the first time he farted sounding funny so he did it twice more. S/A/W (and that reads something that should have been taken to them and all their supporters!) only have one song and all they do is rejumble the naff words around. They all have the same sound and the same set-up. Along with Madonna and rap, was a dark day for the 80s and the future of music a whole when they were welcomed in and allowed to stagnate and stifle every bit of freshness, excitement and talent there was around, along with their mates mentioned. No wonder we've got to know!
It was used in an episode of Pose and now has 145k views
The sound on all these PWL videos is incredibly low...that's why...
Gotta admit there's always a song you remember that you might have forgotten about but brings back great memories
Tune of the 90s. Remember dancing to this in the pubs and clubs in Birmingham! Great memories ❤
This is wat ya call Music... Not like the crap ya here now.. 80s/90s... love it xx

What a banger of a tune.

I missed this one when it came out, I love this era of music and this has turned into one of my favourites😁
Shows you can say a sad story in a happy way. The songs today are so negative in every way.
From a time when we were so surrounded by good music you could never think a time like now would ever come that there would be such a dearth.
The chord changes, the melody, the singing, and the words all come together to give me chills every time i listen to it.
This is one of my all time favourite songs this song never got the credit it deserved Evan tho she only ever had this one hit - I First heard this when I was 9 yer old -and it took me 15 years to find out I always thought it was Donna summer for some reason then bam it came on radio one morning- ( happening all over again lonni Gordon ) I quickly grabbed pen of dash board wrote it down on a bit of paper in my car and that was it - found it on CD and played It daily ever since 😍 its top of my playlist and I NEVER get sick of hearing it - an upbeat powerful feel good song on every level 🙏🏻🩷😍🫶🏼
For some reason I missed this one when it came out, I found it a few years back and I absolutely love it 👍
I just discovered this song!!! And the Donna Summer connection! Wow! No wonder like this song so much.
J ai toujours adorais cette chanson , Merci Lonnie Gordon
Im playing this constantly...best tracks back then....even remember all the words....fab to dance to!!! 😀
This is one of those songs when you first hear it on the radio it grabs you and you fall in love with it and it stays with you the rest of your life. Every time you hear it come on the radio today you always go back in time to when you first heard it
Very well put.
Good days I'm back in the 90s makes me happy but there is thus sadness j guess I'm missing remembering it was a good time
Love you Lonnie. Meeting you in DC was a high point in my life xxx
Loved it so…Took me straight back to the dance floor then (a boogie bunny). Thx for the memories 4EVR 💃🏿💃🏿💖🖕💫
Thanks PWL great music 🎸 produced
1990 forever in 2018!!!!
yes 1990 will always have a special place in my heart with music like that .
YES YES YES! LET'S PARTY LIKE ITS 1990
@@andrewjones3022 Hardly much of one for her, when despite this hit and the next one scoring all right, they don't even release the album! If that was done today it would be called racist, yet none of the squawking, ear-drilling slag-bitches of today deserve a demo, never mind a whole album or record deal!
Off the album if I had to stand alone
Stands the test of time. 😊
Saw this video on a hotel TV and couldn't wait to tell Phil Harding whata great mix it was.
Boy does this take me back to the club scene in the 90's...Love this song !
the backbeat/chorus is absolutely banging!!!

One of the 3 best SAW produced his, along with Cliff Richard's I just don't have the heart & Donna Summer's This Time I know it's for real
and mel & kim's thats the way it is ...
@@BlytheWorld1972 ARE YEA he he he there killed that sample on records back in the very early 90s
This one is great in part because of it was originally made with Donna Summer in mind.
Indeed...said to have been the title track of Donna Summer's second SAW album, " Happenin' All Over Again".
True but we also have Rick astley, kylie and jason sonia and a number of other great songs
School disco vibes 😝…. Late 80sEarly 90s we’re the best time to grow up.
Mike Stock
Matt Aitken
Pete Waterman
These 3 men were the greatest thing to happen to music late 80s /early 90s
But more Waterman as he went on to completely dominate the British music scene on his own! 🧐🤔
No wonder they called it a factory...hit after hit!!😊😊
@@paulmcallister8948I think that’s debatable. Stock and Aitken were the song writers and Waterman was mostly the business man. A bit like an 80s Simon Cowell.
@simongarner2036 oh I see. Never knew that. 🧐🤔
Great Song! June 2024.
This song was originally written for Donna Summer, before she fell out with PWL. Lonnie hadn't met Stock, Aitken or Waterman before recording this - really brings back memories for me.
Makes sense, I remember when I first heard this on the radio I was thinking this would have been something Donna Summer would have done.
