I love that thought, “ you can’t finish anything, unless you start.” Loved this video! You are such an inspiration. And your quilt is so pretty! Happy stitching till we see you again!
Great video Shanda so many beautiful dreams stitches. I love that little needle roll finish, beautiful work! You’re going to love growing your hair out and letting the natural gray shine, you won’t look back! I so enjoyed are visit, hugs Carrie
Oh, I have been an enable on the hair of friends. Two I encouraged to go to the gray/silver. When they did, they looked so much younger, and they loved it. I put product on my hair twice in my life. Each time the only person that every commented was my husband. I am so happy that I never did it again, and even now it is not all gray/silver and is slowly changing over. I do not think you will regret it. Loved all you project bags Shanda! You are gifted with your sewing and how you put colors together. Looking forward to all your videos!
Love watching your videos and seeing your stitching and beautiful quilts. I am one year into my silver grow out, and have no regrets. It is a process and I am embracing the journey. ❤
Hello from England! I love watching you Shanda, love your stitching and especially your quilts, so beautiful! I stopped colouring my hair several years ago now, it is SO liberating! I felt free and love my silver hair! Keep going it will look great as you have beautiful hair. Happy stitching 🇬🇧💕
Your sewing roll with the attached memories is a Beautiful finish. Love your formula idea. Enjoy the journey of the silver process . Retreat pics look great.
Yes I'm grey! I have to wear wigs because of alopecia . Since several of my friends have gone grey, my newest wig is Shades of Grey! Thanks for sharing so many great projects!
So glad you have posted again. I really enjoy your flosstube as I share the same hobbies as you. Quilting, reading, cross stitch are my top three. Visiting Idaho and Montana are on my bucket list. I appreciate your quilting projects. I just started a new project from Fig Tree and Co. I love their fabric and am making a Christmas quilt using Christmas Stitching fabric. It combines cross stitching fabric into a Christmas theme. Check it out! I already went grey with my hair last year. So freeing with no worries about coloring expense. Take care! Oh! Btw I was in FHA in the 70s and became a Home Economics teacher for 32 years.
Oh my!!!! Thank you Shanda for all the kind words. It was delightful to meet you at the retreat. And you brought so much joy to the weekend. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing our retreat with the world. Made my heart so happy! Valerie
I’ve never coloured my hair in my 69 years of life. Luckily I only have a few greys but regardless I wouldn’t colour it. I’ll be looking forward to watching your progress. Good for you. So much less hassle.
I really like your sewing roll and love how you added your mom's keepsake FHA pin. I also have my pins from FHA and my red jacket (from the 60's). I will copy you and pull out my pins to add to a project bag. Enjoyed your video very much.
Wonderful projects, stitching and quilting! Like many others here, I started letting my hair go natural with the pandemic. I have dark hair so the gray is still at the "highlights" stage but it is much drier and harsher. I've reads some interesting tips here that I'm going to try. I'm over spending all that money and precious time at the hair salon. Today, I think my time is more valuable and the money can be better spent on my hobbies (smile). Hugs from NE Ohio.
Well I started my real self journey 7 or 8 years ago. 1. Just for me. I believe when we show our true self, we can be less stressed, find more joy in each day and get what we want to complete more accessible. 2. I was taught by my parents that when things happen to us, good or bad, it is not so much why it happened; but how I walk through it. What example to others, and my family. We can joyously go through a triumph and never honor how it came or we can rant and rave about injustice done to us or hold our head up high and be a good example to others on the Grace shown us through the trial. My Mother always teased me (kindly) about coloring my hair and so after she passed I couldn't go 3 weeks without touching up my gray roots. So I gradually, with semi permanent color (in a box, Loreal) went lighter and lighter till I was using the lightest ash color and you couldn't tell. It seemed that I had greyed well over a year or so. That's what worked for me and I am quite a bit older than you are dear girl. You enjoy each minute as you walk forward, life is a wonderful journey and really not a race but a walk to savor. Blessings
I went grey a few years ago. I am so glad I did it. 2 tips I learned. That your “old” dyed hair can get brassy as you are growing it out. I started using purple shampoo and conditioner to stop having the brassy look. I use L’oréal Ever pure blonde shampoo and conditioner. You can get it at any large box store. It is in a tube type container. Also at some point the 1/2 dyed/1/2 grey look can get to you- so maybe at some point you might decide to just get a short bob haircut to make the process of going grey go quicker. Sometimes also wearing your hair up in a bun hides some of the differences in hair color. You will love not having to dye your hair. Love your you tube channel.
Hi Shanda….wow beautiful project bags. I love all the different fabric lines you made them out of. Already looking forward to next year’s retreat in Missoula. Stitchy friends are the best! Yes you go girl. Grey is great. Happy Fall Stitching 🍂🍁🪡❤️🧵 Marlys
I always love your videos! Good to see one pop up again. Your retreat sounds nice. I have never been to one and am too intimidated by the huge mega retreats. You always do beautiful stitching and quilts. I grew out my gray. My hair is long. I started before the pandemic so not a lot of people saw me. I usually keep it pulled back in a ponytail. It’s finally grown out! Then I decided to let my bangs grow out lol! It’s always something. That’s almost done. I look forward to your next video. It’s really not that bad growing your hair out.
Growing out my gray hair, has been one of the best decisions ever! I last colored my hair on Nov 8, 2020. My hair is long and naturally wavy/curly. I just recently had about 3” cut off, still mid-back length, I don’t have much old color left now! My hair is way more healthy since I have quit putting all of those chemicals on it! I will be cheering you on as you go through your hair journey! Love your videos! I still have the 4x5 Quilt Block anthology quilt, on my bucket list to make. I think I will just make a couple blocks a month, I will never get it done if I don’t get it started! Yours turned out absolutely beautiful!!
I’ve enjoyed your flosstube…and I have tried to grow my grey out and it wasn’t greying much until trauma in the family… the first time I noticed it was when my sister passed from cancer. The during these Covid years…my daughter was in a fatal car accident at age 22 and my step son at 44 from a seizure lost these two within 5 months of each other… left 6 grandkids with out one of their parents…..I am definitely seeing the grey now…..
Good for you for growing your hair out. I see many flosstubers doing that and they look fantastic. Have you ever seen Laura from Sew Very Easy? If I thought my hair could look like that, I'd grow it. Congratulations on all your finishes. They are beautiful. I'm on the hunt for smalls for my gold mining pan and they seem very elusive, but beautiful!! Well, back to the sewing machine. I WILL make time for stitching after supper. Please take care and hugs from Canada!!
Hello, enjoyed all that you shared…I don’t know how this statement came to me…the older you get, the better you get…your project bags are beautiful…love that everyone is going grey/silver together, maybe your hair dresser can dye your long hair silver and the new growth can blend in…then you will skip that awkward stage entirely…take care, be safe and enjoy your stitching Shanda❤️
How precious that you have your moms pin. Love your quilt finish. I stopped coloring my hair during lockdown. Been contemplating coloring again but everyone else seems to love mine. I'm still on the fence. Have a great month & stitch on!!
I enjoyed meeting you at the retreat and when I found out you are on flosstube of course I had to subscribe! You are very talented making all those project bags and quilt and I have several of the same cross stitch patterns you are working on. Like minded! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and I am glad you received Sharyl's bird from the exchange.
Hello from your silver hair friend, all natural. Lovely seeing what you have been sewing and stitching. I too have been starting a few new things as they won’t be finished if I don’t start 😉. Blessings.
Glad you arrived safely to your southern home and the fire didn’t get to your northern home. Love your stitches and the stories from your retreat. My dad and I begged my mom to stop coloring her hair. She ended up with beautiful white hair that she constantly got compliments on. Good for you embracing your gray. I never colored my hair, too lazy. My hair grows extremely fast and I have no desire to always be going to get it touched up. I’d rather spend my money on stitching things and time on stitching!
Happy Fall. 🍁The quilted table topper is lovely!I haven’t regretted going grey at all. I enjoyed seeing a few cross stitch projects, but can’t imagine having that many wips. Lol. I usually have one project unless it’s a large one, then I sometimes will have a “small” in progress also. Blessings from Illinois.
I went full gray a few years back. My hair grows very fast so I would have to go get touched up every 3 or 4 weeks so spent a number of hours trying to cover what was always meant to be. I am very lucky my gray came in and my hair looked like I was spending 100's of dollars for the look. I did invest in some ball caps to help cover the onset though. One thing I will tell you, it is the most freeing thing you will do for yourself!!!!!! Love your wips and finishes.
I visited Missoula for the first time last spring. It was one of my favorite places! If it wasn’t so hard to get to from here I’d love to go to the retreat. Anyhow, I let my gray shine years ago. I have short hair so the process was easy but you could use a rinse to help make the transition. You can do it yourself at home. When it gently fades away you can do it again. If nothing else…you will love your healthy new untreated hair and might happily get the old dyed hair trimmed away. Pam
Be encouraged, Shanda. I am 75 now. When I was in my late forties / early fifties….I made the decision to let my hair go gray. (At that time, it wasn’t as popular a decision as it is at this time.) I’ve had many complements over the years and I’ve never used hair color. I felt that coloring hair (for me) was bondage. I have no problem with others coloring their hair, but my life is busy enough! 😊I also had to consider the possible effects on my health, as I can be quite sensitive to chemicals. (I have fibromyalgia.) Today is the first time I’ve viewed your channel. I subscribed! Blessings & prayers!
Love the video. Project bags are amazing. Love the Tasha Tudor fabric. Would love to get a piece of that! Let my hair grow out during the pandemic with no regrets. It will one less thing to do. Look forward to seeing you again…Carol🇨🇦
I made the decision to let my silver shine through a few years back and I'm happy that I did. Yes, I've been tempted to dye it again and have some dye on hand (just in case), but then I stop and think about how long it has taken to get it to where it currently is and that makes me keep going. I use a purple shampoo and conditioner to stop it looking flat and also found that trimming it a bit hurries the job along a bit, it soon grows back to where it was. You'll find that because you've got blonde hair you can go quite a while before everyone else starts to notice, unlike our brunette friends. Your retreat sounds wonderful, I'm glad that you enjoyed yourself. I had to stop your video and go and look for the Emily Dickinson book, while I was there I also found the Beatrix Potter, Laura Ingalls Wilder and also the Frances Hodgson Burnett (The Secret Garden) ones.
I’m growing out my hair also. Along with my bangs. It’s been painful as their always in my face😅. But I’m persevering. Lots of grey and I’ve earned every one of them. So I’d love to join you in growing out the color and going grey. My so called friend says I look 10 years older, but I don’t care. I’m above ground and healthy now. Take care and thanks for sharing.
Great video - loved 'all the things!' Inspirational. I think a joy to go to such a small but beautiful retreat. Especially loved the sewing roll as I have been looking for ways to finish stitched work rather than framing. Please show more ideas if you have them - there has to be more to life than pillows and drums! Bravo for the roll! (you can never have too many needle books though) Find a good hair dresser to assist with growing into silver. My sister did it much faster with help than I ever imagined and it is fabulous, the stylists are trained in this now - who knew!! I never colored and now her hair is a better color than mine which is going gray more slowly than I would like - duh!
I grew up in Montana. I was in 4h for a few years. I have stayed at C ome on inn motel in Missoula. I colored my hair from 13 on to 59. I grew my hair out for locks of love. My hair is almost white. I have been stopped and asked what color did I use. I replied God's color. just grew it out. Good video!
Hi Shanda, loved your bags, and all your WIPS,your Roll is beautiful with your mums special pin,I am an older woman, have had grey hair for a long time now, every once in a while I will go and get a funky cut done at the Hairdresser 👍loved your video Thankyou for sharing 👍🇳🇿🪡
So good to see a new video from you!! Sounds likes you had a good summer and the retreat sounded fabulous. Your small that you got is so pretty too. Stitcher’s are just the best. What a treasure that you have in your mom’s FHA pin, and I love the stitching roll that you made. Great bags too. Woohoo!! Happy stitching…………
Grow "older" gracefully. Silver hair is beautiful. My own journey started in my early 20s with wisps of white in my bangs; now in my 70s, my hair is all silver. No regrets.
Good for you for going gray! I never did color my hair, so it was an easy decision for me. You will have more $ to spend on charts and floss and linen now that you are not paying your hairdresser every few weeks. Your project bags are beautiful. Love all your pipe dreams...several are on my list. Your little star quilt turned out so well. Hoping you find more stitching, reading, baking time now that you are retired. Missoula is a beautiful place for a retreat, and a small one like that sounds so fun! Glad you were able to go.
Tasha Tudor was from a wealthy family but chose to move to the country to live her dreamy artist life. Her son lived on property beside her, when her husband died, so he could be there to help out with her homestead. Her collection of 1800's dresses were amazing. Lovely video as usual. Happy Fall! ❤🍂🍁
I have never regretted going gray. I had probably had my hair processed for over 30 years. So happy I’m gray. Wow you’ve been productive. All those wonderful bags were a treat to see. Loved your finishes. Happy Stitching
Shanda, was so great to get to meet you at the retreat! Have been following you for a while, enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for showing things from the retreat, such a wonderful time for all! So much talent in that room, just amazing! 🪡🌷🧵
Hi Shanda! It was so great to meet you at the retreat 🥰😘🥰😘 and I agree there were so many amazing gifts for all of us, everyone was so generous! I loved this retreat and will be back for sure next year. And I hope we get to see one another in June. I will send you all the information about that soon, hugs hugs 🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘
Like the 5,4,3,2,1 know what’s coming. I moved this summer and stopped the color before so new place new people didn’t know any different. It has come out a really good grey, yeah! But use the purple shampoo to make it nicer. Matrix So Silver. Been 3 months so almost there, short hair.
Oh my goodness PPS!!! Your stitching, bags & on & on…WOW!!! You’ve certainly been busy! I of course immediately printed the witch silhouette pattern 😂. So cute. I’ll stitch that Monday. 😉 Glad you’re safe from the fires!!! Your gray hair will be gorgeous! My hairdresser keeps telling me that mine is getting fairly white but I haven’t yet totally quit getting it highlighted. I’m ready to stop paying for it as well. Take care my friend 💞
Shanda I use natural instinct and it washes out after about 5 weeks. So maybe that could make the going gray a little less shocking. I think there are permanent natural instinct products but the one I use washes out. Makes my hair so nice. Love your idea can't wait to see
Embrace the beautiful new hair color, maybe do #silvernaturally.😂 Thanks for sharing your time! Your projects and plans are great along with all of your wonderful project bags. The retreat sounds like such a great time!
Hi Miss Shanda! Looks like you had fun at the retreat! It’s just such a joy to be in a room full of happy people all there for one reason: to share their favorite hobby! I have a retreat coming up in October in Amana, IA, and can’t wait to go and see everyone again! Loved your sewing roll and your FT format. My friend, Nancy Woolsey, and I started a FT a month ago, we have two out now. I would be happy to have you watch and let me know what you think. We are the Sew ‘n Sews. I still need to get to Boise area to meet you one of these days!! Happy stitching til next time! 🪡🧵🪡🍁🍂🍁🍂🌻🐝💛🤎🧡
Love all your cute bags and beautiful projects, you have made great progress on many things. Looks like a wonderful retreat, glad you had such a good time. PPS kg
I was just wondering when you would post another video, and then one popped up this evening. It was a pleasure to see all your treasures and listen to you reminiscing about your retreat. Looking forward to the next one already! 🍁🌻🍂🍁
I’m loving your pipe dreams and bags! I was working on the longarm named Bertha and decided on a break. There you were sharing all your plans and projects. Thank you! When is the next retreat?
I went all gray about 12 years ago and am thrilled! I cut my hair really short and let it grow out naturally. Short is not for everyone and mine is longer now
Good for you for growing out your gorgeous natural color. I’m planning to do the same thing when I retire. Seems like a good way to mark a new season in life as well as a reminder as it grows out to take life as it comes and make the most of it - one day at a time. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you!
Shandra, I let my hair go natural and I am so glad. My hair grows fast which helped. My hairdresser said that she wished she could copy the color of my hair. It feels so much better and is less work now. You won’t be sorry. Sounds like you had a blast at the retreat. So glad you were able to attend. Enjoy stitching and the autumn weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year, too. Going to have a couple of surgeries in October. I plan on stitching, of course!! Love your upcoming plans.❤️🪡🧵❤️
5,4,3,2,1 so cute. Loved it. I also went gray a year or two after I retired and tried to grow longer hair. My last time highlighting I had my stylist not use color just bleach so my highlights were white. That worked out really well as they blended with my gray coming in. The long hair, not so much . It turned into a curly mess when I never had curly hair before. I got it to ponytail stage and cut it. Good luck! You’ll love not coloring and have more $ for crafting.
Great video, Shanda! I loved seeing all the photos from the retreat again. I stopped coloring my hair a little over a year ago and it takes FOREVER to grow all the way out. I do use purple shampoo every two weeks or so as it does seem to help keep it silvery. Happy Stitching!
Wonderful video with gorgeous projects!!! Everything is beautiful!!! The retreat must have been a lot of fun!!! My hair feels healthier after stopping the dye! It’s a dark gray and just nothing to maintain except a trim once in a while. Enjoy the fall season!!
I stopped coloring my hair during COVID (after having my hair appointments canceled multiple times). I had been talking about it prior to that time and was planning to do "low-lights - that is having dark "highlights" added to make the transition more natural looking. It is all natural now - my hair is shoulder length. It is quite silver around my face but more of a salt and pepper still in the back. I might have to check out that Susan Branch book. It sounds like something my daughter would appreciate. Thanks for sharing.
I was thrilled to see your video pop up! All your projects are wonderful! I have several of the same I should stitch with you. A small retreat sounds wonderful!
Just watched my first video of yours! Such a wonderful escape for the senses! Now a subscriber! I let my colorist go 6 years ago and never looked back!. I used the purple shampoo to blend for a while and only cut a few inches off my long hair. Still long, very grey and very nice to spend my money on other things like charts!❤❤❤
A few weeks ago at church, a friend said how much she like me growing out my grey. Thought it looked great. Thing is, except for “frosting” my short hair when I was really young, I haven’t dyed my hair in 50 years! Glad you had a fun sewing summer, despite your smoke. Some of it came down to us down in the Utah Wasatch Back. Enjoy your stitchy fall and winter.
I always love your videos! I grew out my grey hair during the pandemic when we were all staying home! I haven’t regretted it at all and I love not having to go to the hair dresser every 4 weeks! So I’ve done it already and will be here to give you all support!🥰
Good for going grey! Embrace it! Wow all those project bags.I really enjoy when you show books Where do you find these books! I've found and bought several on your recommendation! Char
Enjoyed watching and loved your fun format! So creative. It was fun to hear about the retreat and see the pictures. I have often talked of not dyeing my hair anymore... you have encouraged me to consider it again. My oldest daughter gets married in December, so maybe I will join you in the new year! Take care and Happy Stitching! 🧵
So glad to see you,was going to reach out on IG see how you were then thought of probably going back down to school. May i ask what is the ABC pattern on the wall behind you? Looks great. Love your pipe dreams lol I left my hair go grey in my mid 40s and one friend was devastated, you are too young it will be terrible. Well, it wasn’t and I saved money and even better didnt have all those chemicals in my hair. Your house bag is great as are all the rest. And yes Susan Branch is fantastic wish books weren’t so much more in Canada. Sigh. And your pillow robin gift is adorable.
I had to pause the video to comment. Love the sewing roll. What if any interfacing did you use? Is that book still available? The quilt for your island is a wonderful fall addition. You are so talented.
Great video! Sounds like you had a great time at the retreat. I grew out my gray hair starting in 2020 and am happy for it. Love the Autumn on Marigold Lane, one of my favorite all-time stitches. I plan on working on Cinnamon Stars during October.
Love the video, your cross stitching is inspiring. Wish I could sew so many cross stitch bags, but that is my dream. Do grow your hair out, when I taught bobbin lace one of my students dyed her hair a deep brown-black, I talked her into letting it grow out and she was silver white hair it took years off of her age and very beautiful and she had hid it for years.
I’m in the Stacy Nash club also. I recently started the Christmas one. That’s my favorite thus far. I signed up for the Quilters Station retreat where she will be. Your retreat sounds wonderful! I love your fabrics, bags, and stitching projects! I haven’t counted my WIPs in quite a while. I did a fair number of FFOing this year but I’ve started a lot of small projects. Brenda Gervais and Blackbird are my downfall when it comes to keeping my WIP numbers low.
I took the gray plunge during Covid. Like you mine was monthly process with white showing at week 3. She had me at the lightest golden blonde shade in march 2020 between fading and 3 month growth when they closed she did random foils to remove color on the bottom and it blended it so I didn’t have a hard line. My tiny profile pic shows it with a touch of blonde left and now it’s very white. I get comments often on the color. It took about 10 months but I still get monthly cuts. Only 45 mins! I will say the mirror view is an adjustment for a while. 😂
Beautiful hair color!! My demarcation line does take an adjustment, but this too shall pass right? Good thing I have stitching to help pass the time. Happy Fall!!
I grew my hair out a few years ago and I'm so happy I did. I really am very happy with it. I thought the hombre half and half colors looked pretty cool actually.
I recently found you and I really enjoy your floss tube..kind lovely voice. I have been a quilter for 43 years..and new to cross stitching..I saw you show a wax bird…do you use your wax on the floss when cross stitching .?
Hello and welcome. Yes I use wax at times to condition my floss. Not all the time, just when I feel the floss seems a bit rough as it is pulled through the linen. Seems to help a lot with tangling. Great question!
Haven’t colored my hair for years, every time I think about it my hairdresser tells me , she has customers who pay big bucks to have hair my color, which is a combination of grey and silver.
Grey since I was about 33 years old; your natural hair color looks better with your complexion; and I've always had an issue with trying to be or appear younger than I am. Kind of a pride thing for me there is nothing wrong with women who are aging! You won't believe all of the comments you'll get on your beautiful gray hair. Best to you on your journey of becoming the natural Shanda!
Not a legit one. 🫤 I use a combination project bag of my own creation with the help of Celeste Create, Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch, and Bumble Stitches. All three ladies have tutorials out on FlossTube.
Love this video. So much I loved. Your book choices for one. I’ve loved and bought Susan Branch things for years. I’m 70. I have some of her fabric. I loved your Tasha Tudor fabric. Is that still available? Love your project bags! I have so much fabric. No easy space for sewing right now. Long story. I’m thinking I’ll order Susan’s newest book. I stopped coloring my hair too. I wish I had thicker hair but I did inherit pretty white hair. Started letting it go grey because of Covid and not wanting to go to salon. A bob type style. My husband has been trimming it. I would like to soon go to a salon for a professional trim. Husband finding it harder to trim because his hands are shaky. This was a helpful video. Your hair remarks were wonderful and encouraging! Thank you. I look forward to your next video. Your sewing and color choices are fantastic. 🍁🍁🍁📗📗🍎🍏
Thank you for showing your beautiful stitching. Loved it all and the pictures you showed.
I love that thought, “ you can’t finish anything, unless you start.” Loved this video! You are such an inspiration. And your quilt is so pretty! Happy stitching till we see you again!
Love the FHA pin of your mothers. I have one too from the 70s when I has in high school. Brought back many memories. ❤️
Great video Shanda so many beautiful dreams stitches. I love that little needle roll finish, beautiful work!
You’re going to love growing your hair out and letting the natural gray shine, you won’t look back!
I so enjoyed are visit, hugs Carrie
Beautiful words of encouragement
Oh, I have been an enable on the hair of friends. Two I encouraged to go to the gray/silver. When they did, they looked so much younger, and they loved it. I put product on my hair twice in my life.
Always love your videos and cross-stitch and quilt projects . Looking forward to the next one.
That quilt is awesome, Lucky Stars.
I was so glad to see a new flosstube from you, enjoyed catching up with my morning coffee!
Great video.
Your bags are all so pretty, & love that mini quilt.
That venue looks awesome, love the nature theme.
Marilyn
Oh my!!!! Thank you Shanda for all the kind words. It was delightful to meet you at the retreat. And you brought so much joy to the weekend.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing our retreat with the world.
Made my heart so happy!
Valerie
Love my grey hair…..I never did try and cover it up because it grows so fast…..unbelievably fast! Also love all the new project bags you made…..❤️❤️❤️
I’ve never coloured my hair in my 69 years of life.
Happy Fall Stitching 🍂🍁🪡❤️🧵
Marlys
Embrace the grey. 👩🦳 Sounds like other than the smoke, you had a wonderful summer. Nice to have you back.
Pam
I too am growing out my grey, my hair is long and dark brown/black. Right now I look like a skunk--ha ha. So good to see you back.
Thank you Kathryn and amen to no more hair coloring! Great comment and I appreciate the feedback. Happy stitching!
What a beautiful place and 🥔🥔🥔
Love the video. Project bags are amazing. Love the Tasha Tudor fabric. Would love to get a piece of that! Let my hair grow out during the pandemic with no regrets. It will one less thing to do. Look forward to seeing you again…Carol🇨🇦
Great video. It was so nice meeting you in Missoula. Looking forward to next year.
I'm with you Shanda. I'm 69, and have been wavering about my grey hair. I'm feed up with worrying about the greys. So here goes.....
No regrets.
Wise words. No Regrets. From a wise woman♥️
Happy Fall! ❤🍂🍁
I colored my hair until i got a perm and went to Florida and my hair turned red! Colored it no more. I have beautiful silver hair. Go for it.
I have never regretted going gray. I had probably had my hair processed for over 30 years. So happy I’m gray. Wow you’ve been productive. All those wonderful bags were a treat to see. Loved your finishes. Happy Stitching
Nothing wrong with your pipe dreams! I've stitched Cinnamon stars, loved it! Your star quilt is stunning! Happy Stitching!!
Shanda, was so great to get to meet you at the retreat!
Have been following you for a while, enjoy your videos so much!
Thank you for showing things from the retreat, such a wonderful time for all!
So much talent in that room, just amazing! 🪡🌷🧵
Hello other Sharyl!
Yeah I'm sure it was, with all the excitement in her expression . Hi Sandy how're you doing?
I call it my crown of wisdom...
I love that!!! Thanks for the permission to be wise!♥️
Wonderful video with gorgeous projects!!! Everything is beautiful!!! The retreat must have been a lot of fun!!! My hair feels healthier after stopping the dye! It’s a dark gray and just nothing to maintain except a trim once in a while. Enjoy the fall season!!
Adorable Cheddar bag.
I stopped adding highlights to my hair over 8 years ago, best decision ever. Happy stitching 🧡❤️🪡🧵
Still long, very grey and very nice to spend my money on other things like charts!❤❤❤
great flosstube...love your projects! 🙂🙂
Love your pipe dreams lol
I left my hair go grey in my mid 40s and one friend was devastated, you are too young it will be terrible.
Embrace the gray!
I've tried not dyeing my hair but the texture is so bad, even if I have a pixie cut. You have me considering trying it again...
I've never dyed my hair; been going gret since I was about 33 years old.
I haven’t dyed my hair for 20 years
Have you done a project bag tutorial?
Not a legit one. 🫤 I use a combination project bag of my own creation with the help of Celeste Create, Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch, and Bumble Stitches. All three ladies have tutorials out on FlossTube.
Sometimes also wearing your hair up in a bun hides some of the differences in hair color. You will love not having to dye your hair. Love your you tube channel.
The same advice I would have given. When I shortened my hair during this I liked it so much I stayed short. Again great advice.
