Shanda…thank you for sharing your 23 in 23 whip parade…beautiful charts and fabrics…Happy Valentine’s Day…wishing you the best and happy stitching…your hair looks lovely ❤
Beautiful WIPS, will be watching your progress as you stitch away in 2023. Gardening is so fun even though I hate the weeds that seem to try to over take my garden. Canning and freezing is so rewarding especially during the winter months. I wish you all the best as you start your gardening this spring and may you be greatly rewarded for your work. I love birds also, and these beautiful feathered friends have eaten 125 # of black oil sunflower seeds since November 2022. Fat birds here in Southwest WI, LOL.
I adore all that you’re stitching - we are kindred stitching sisters! I also love that you’ve talked out loud about moving more - I’m a huge proponent of balance in daily life and moving is a major part many neglect. I’d rather give up a little daily stitching to get in my exercise than to stitch all that time (unless exercise wasn’t needed to ensure a proper balance of good health, then my friend, I’d surely forgo it!). I’d rather feel really good for the rest of my stitching life than to stitch more hours everyday and deal with health issues because I neglected to move. A good balance in life is a journey and everyone’s form of movement will look very different. We all have to find what form of movement works for our healthy journey in keeping our bodies ready to stitch! God Bless - you’re one of my fav Flosstubes! ❤
Hello Shanda, I know you did not show it today (last video) but I want to make sure I tell you how beautiful your birds of a feather is! What a gorgeous finish. I love it and was so excited when I heard they were going to reprint. I guess now that was false information but I am hoping it will happen in the future. You are done using the tooth needle minder on that project and I have my braces off!!! Time flies! I agree about needing to move more. It is a challenge when so many of our hobbies are sedentary. I’ll think of you going for your walks when I head out for mine. You have some beautiful wips for 2023. Will be so much fun watching you work your way to finishing them. Take good care and happy stitching.
I'd gotten bored with WIP parades but always enjoy your videos. Two of your WIPS caught my attention--the Lucy Mack. sampler and the Christmas SAL. After I started cross stitching during Covid, I did Lucy Mack. What an undertaking for a beginner! I made a big rookie mistake and stitched the piece the wrong way! I did finiish it and love it. I was in Ohio last October and bought the Christmas one. I may join your SAL albeit very late. I'm old (80) and slow and monagamous so we'll see Thank you for your quality work and moral values.
Your hair is gorgeous!!! What great project bags each one so unique. You have some lovely wips and like your idea of a stitch a quarter. It’s fun balancing it all and going through each season . Happy Belated Birthday!!
Hi Shanda. First off I want to say how pretty your hair looks. Thank you for sharing the seed boxes. Unfortunately starting with seeds has never worked well for me, but love looking at seed catalogs. That big mustard colored house in one of your samplers is awesome. Another great WIP parade, very inspirational. Happy stitching
Oh, Holly Hobby! She was such a thing back in the 70s, right? Loved her😊. I'm with you on moving more. I've always stitched, but these days I have more time on my hands and am stitching up a storm, which means more sitting. Now that you've made mention of it, I realize I've got to put down the needle a bit more and get moving! Loved seeing your wips today😊
First of all, can we just talk about your hair?? It looks FABULOUS! Another inspirational video! I don’t know how you get so much accomplished. Thank you for sharing!
I was attracted to try your flosstube channel when I saw ID in the name. I am a native born in Valley County. Still have many relatives there. Enjoyed your plans for 2023. It is good to have goals.
Hi Shanda! Twenty three in ‘23! Great idea. I’m sure you will make great progress in stitching down those WIPs. They are all great designs, too! Happy stitching til next time! 🪡🧵😁✂️✂️✂️💕💕💕
I so enjoyed your WIP parade. I like the way your colors look for Grateful Thankful Blessed on the 20 count Vintage Country Mocha. Are you stitching that one over one? How special that your husband writes a love letter for you on Valentine's Day. That is wonderful! Enjoy walking on the beautiful trails when the weather starts letting you get out on them. I live in a very flat area in Iowa and my favorite thing to do is go to the mountains to hike.
Enjoyed spending time with you and your wips. Loved the Holly Hobbie bag -- my Mom also used to sew me pinafores to go over her hand sewn dresses aka Little House on the Prairies. Ah, the good ol' days, lol. Happy stitching.
You make beautiful project bags. I like them full cloth. Your winter scene is so nice. My daughter, Heidi, lives in the Netherlands and she told me to watch you.
Lovely wips Shanda! I’m working on some of the same ones so you will inspire me to get them finished too! Your looking beautiful as ever, Happy stitching as we get close to the end of February! ❤
Good evening Shanda. While visiting with you I’ve been stitching Pretty in Pink Pinkeep. Love seeing what your stitching plans are and progress on them. So pleased the earrings arrived in time for your birthday. They look lovely with your beautiful hair. Some wonderful seeds for you to plant. Enjoy your garden, walk’s and stitching.
A pleasant surprise to see a new video up from you! I’m totally with you on the quest to move more. My hobbies - stitching, quilting, reading keep me pretty sedentary……and I work a desk job. Our Midwest winters are cold but I make a point of bundling up and getting a walk in a few times a week and I have some creators I enjoy for yoga, over 50 workouts and flexibility/balance work. I’m determined to keep my mobility. Love your hair. So looking forward to gardening season!
What a fun wip parade! I love so many of your designs. You always tempt me to buy the Turkey Hollow chart! You also have a great collection of project bags. I' m not much of a sewer so I have plain old plastic bags!😋
Nothing wrong with plastic bags…. I have some of those too. One plus with plastic bags…. they don’t take up as much room in the current WIP basket as the fabric ones are fluffier and thick😊. Happy stitching!
Hi, very good video. I am the crafter and my husband is the gardener and I mentioned you spoke about the beautiful seed packets and how much info Johnnys has on theirs and he said their catalog is full of great info too!
I just found your channel thanks to the UA-cam spies 🕵️♀️ but I so enjoyed your channel and can’t wait to catch up on your other videos! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work 💕
I'm loving your hair, Shanda. And love all your projects...we have similar taste! Would love to find that Delicious Autumn BB pattern, but it doesn't seem to be released to the public yet. Thanks for reminding me to get seeds ordered! Will check out that one from Colorado. We still have SO much snow cover here in NE so it hasn't been on my radar yet. Have a fun week-end at your mountain house.
My dad put up “birch” paneling and baby blue carpet in my bedroom and my mom made a bedspread, pillows ham and curtains of Holly Hobby fabric. They also bought me a white dresser and nightstand. I loved that bedroom redo! I had that room until I went to college❤️
Fun to see your WIP parade, 23 in 23 is a great, doable plan! I agree, you can’t have a finish if you don’t have a start! All of your project bags are perfect for the projects in them. Thanks for sharing your seed packets and boxes they came in, the art is wonderful.
Oh, I love all of your samplers and project bags!!! Hope you have a good time at your mountain house. It must be absolutely wonderful to live there in the summer. What fun to be looking forward to your spring planting. I agree, the boxes and seed packets are really pretty. Happy Valentine's Day!
You have such a nice, calming demeanor. It's so pleasant to spend time with you! I can't thank you enough for mentioning where to buy the box for O Tannenbaum. Every time I go to Hobby Lobby (which is often) I always look and I never have had any luck in finding it. I did pause your video and ordered it immediately.
It was such a surprise to see you had a video up! I love watching and getting inspired by all you do. I can feel the warmth from your home, it looks so inviting. On a lot of the floss tubes I watch I do so while doing the dishes or ironing, whatever I have to do that day. My confession for today is whenever I watch one of you videos I will stop and sit down to watch it because I don’t want to miss a thing💕🧵🌸🪡. Happy Valentine’s Day
Now you are enabling me to buy seeds! Looking forward to growing some flowers from seed this year. I keep telling myself that when I retire later this year I'll have more time to stitch and move, but guess I'll still have to make the moving part more of a priority.
Love your hair! Love all the projects and bags. I am same as your daughter. I did one recently on linen and don’t like look and really if I hadn’t loved the pattern and had fabric available I would not have finished it. 32 laguna my fav.but 28 36 good. And 18up for aida although I am doing my haed on 16 ct and other haed on 18 and like 16 for big full coverage.
Great video-I love your wips-you have some real beauties started-I’m also trying to move more-no excuse here-just quilting for a new grand daughter and xstitching-not to strenuous on the ❤️ 🙂
What a nice surprise when I saw your video. That was my clue to grab my cross stitch and enjoy your video. I really liked that you showed and explained about your project bags along with your WIPS. You are so right about moving…your garden plus trails are perfect. I have a couple zoom exercise classes and on the other days walk with a friend. We kept each other moving during the height of the pandemic and continue to motivate each other. On days when our schedules don’t coordinate I walk with an audiobook or in quiet. Or, quite honestly, take a day off… Friends are motivating!
I love your Flosstube's Shanda. Someday, I hope we meet up. Thanks for the seed info. I'm looking forward to the gardening season too! Itching to get outside.
Shanda…your hair is looking beautiful! I love all your projects! I immediately went and bought a box for O Tannenbaum. Unfortunately, the chart is out of stock. Hopefully, I’ll be able to find it. I’ve always admired that project. Are you planning to attend the NW Prim Stitchers Retreat this year. I’d love to see you again.
What a delightful WIP parade Shanda. Even the project bags are inspiring. I already get up every hour to dance or exercise, anything to get my heart pumping, otherwise I can sit for hours. Wishing you a very happy Valentine's Day with your husband.
Oooohfda! Lol Love it!!! Great, inspiring video Shanda. I love what you stitch and your back ground is eye candy for sure. Love ya, Happy Valentines Day my PPS! ❤🥰❣️
Love all your projects and the bags are awesome! I’ve been wanting to ask you if you know what happened to log cabin stitcher, she is the one that mentioned your channel and I’ve been watching you ever since. I really hope she’s not the friend you mentioned that passed away? I’ve been thinking about her and hoping she will come back to flosstube!
Shanda, How much fabric do you need to make a small hexi quilt? I am using 3/4 inch hexi's. I want to use Jo Morton fabric. I ordered a jelly roll. Should I order the fat quarter bundle? Thanks Sherrie Bryant
I think a jelly roll would work for 3/4 hexis. Those are really small- will be adorable! I’d cut the jelly roll into 2 1/2 inch squares and you would have plenty. Happy hexi stitching!
Shanda…thank you for sharing your 23 in 23 whip parade…beautiful charts and fabrics…Happy Valentine’s Day…wishing you the best and happy stitching…your hair looks lovely ❤
