- Open G slide blues on a Crafton Sunray guitar. This guitar was built November 23 1946 in Göteborg Sweden. The Crafton factory was active between 1945 and 1962 and produced 36 000 instruments. Crafton made mandolins, lutes and different kinds of guitars, not least really nice archtops.

I was in Gothenburg for 6months in 2018, great town. Tried to find some Brink too, but, to no avail. I was mad eager to locate that documentary you made about the Levin Guitar Co. 1946 and dead mint condition?
Certainly not, the headstock has been broken off, the neck heel has also snapped right off and the top has several cracks. It's all been repaired of course, but this guitar is not a collectors item.

I don't know about books on this topic, I learned from records and videos.
@@AndreasBrink the best way to learn slide is through listening to recordings.
what strings / gauge are on that guitar? i get a lot of rattle on my parlour guitar with daddario custom light
Right now it's Martin 10-47. I will put Newtone Heritages on there when I get them though, they are heavier gauge but still low tension. Old guitar usually don't like high tension. This guitar has high action though, that helps reduce any rattle.

Nej, tyvärr. Men det går att lista ut det mesta genom att lyssna på och titta på andra som spelar. UA-cam är bra eftersom man kan titta på videor i lägre hastighet med bibehållen tonhöjd, med lite tålamod kan man lära sig den vägen.
Andreas Brink Är väl bara att nöta på! Spelade för många år sen, har tappat allt så det är bara att börja om. Val av gitarr spelar väl ingen roll men det övriga, en bottleneck mm, vart får man tag på det? Mvh
@@peterfriberg3209 Övning är den enda vägen. Du vil ha en stålsträngad gitarr, gärna med lite högre stränghöjd. Ett sliderör kan man köpa på samma ställen man köper gitarr. Eller så kapar man av en vinflaska...
