Nice video and also a nice area you're staying in. We took a bus to Olangapo and made our way to Subic Bay in the spring of 2019. We're in Vancouver, Canada now but probably by this September or a bit later we look forward to our condo at San Fernando, Pampanga being completed and having to get back over.
Thanks for the great content! Trips to the Olongapo market, all the restaurants, picking vegetables and fish out, prices, etc. The price for a studio is pretty steep from the Philippines, but man what a backyard view you get to enjoy every single day!
FEP......Great vid, your expenses r pretty decent for your current area ...but your both retired n your enjoying life eating great food n spending time with friends in tropical places and setting that are breath taking coming up......
What!!??!! No taters in that picadillo!!!! Still looks delicious...I must have my papa's in my picadillo!!! My wife loves you guys so much!!!! Keep up the great work!
Great trip to Wild Herbs! My wife loves the pad Thai there. I recommend the ribs! Just wondering who the provider is on your cable and internet? My wife owns a home farther down on Baloy and might be interested in putting internet there for her family.
Thanks for watching Jack! Our cost for the cable and internet is split up between the units here so I'm sure it's somewhat more for a residential account. PLDT fiber.
Ty for the video. I have a question for you. What is the average cost to take a trike to the markets or local spots? You seem close enough to walk to a few places.
Thanks for watching Jeffrey!! We walked and used trikes prior to getting the scooter. Cost for trikes locally is between 20 to 50 pesos. Jeeps are the best value for going to the Olongapo market is around 17 pesos.
@@FarEastPapi That's funny, I just tried making a paloma cocktail for the Super Bowl using juice from a pomelo rather than a grapefruit. Didn't work so well, odd flavor. Fortunately I still had a few grapefruits. However I ate the rest of the polmelo, it was great. Rock on Big E! You da man brah!
btw you listed basic cost, what is the total budget? food, laundry services, maid, yaya etc..... Are you at 2k usd a month? That is my goal when I'm boots on ground.
Hey Iggi, laundry for two is about $6-$7 a week. If you have a maid or helper then you can scratch that expense but now you are buying detergent etc. We eat out almost every day from pricy to cheap as dirt, so it's hard to put a dollar figure on the food. I will tell you that currently you can live here on your 2k monthly goal but that depends on your lifestyle of course. There are many other expenses that I didn't touch base on that you must consider, such as visa costs, medical/medicine, entertainment is huge if you like to frequent the bars. Watch a lot of UA-cam videos as well before you take the plunge, I did! Everyone you watch will have something valuable to share but not one will cover everything like me. Haha! Thanks for watching our videos!
@@FarEastPapi thanks for the reply. I was born in Sta. Rita but grew up in the US. I really want to come back and live the simple life again. All I require is basic food and lodging.
Right now the Seascape monthly rate is P35000 around $730 monthly. Like anywhere, rates will change as things get busier here on the beach! Thanks for watching our videos Duke!
I gain 5lbs everytime I watch your blogs lol. Love the beutifil view. Worth every penny.
I'm 34 still planning on where to retire, maybe I will visit different countries and see what sticks. Only been to Thailand 3 times.

Thanks for the info on bills. Beautiful back yard.

Big E! Do they have grapefruits in PI? If so do you guys make palomas?
@@chesterwimble6088 we eat a lot of pomelos which are very similar but haven't ran across grapefruit yet.

This is so funny. You eat American food in Philippines.
I want to be your neighbor, any available units?
Right now there is! Usually weekend getaway couples and families occupy the units for a couple of days at a time!
