This is actually very helpful …I’m learning through a language and some people I’ve met on tandem. I hired a tutor online who’s in st.Pete but online payments were discontinued . But I watch a ton of movies and cartoons . But this slower paced conversation helps. Hearing kids talk is a level of vocab that I can build from thank you
Try asking your online tutor about cryptocurrency.
Russians are now more likely to use cryptocurrency, especially for transactions with other countries.

Thank you for the video, i started learning russian because i fell in love with the band Kino and all of the underground rock scene from the 80's. That made me really interested in the russian culture and people. Hope i can travel to Russia one day.

Interesting how the girl first said "kruvassan" instead of "kruassan". She employed subconsciously the Russian phonetic rules to a foreign loanwords with an uncharacteristic "ua" vowel sequence and involuntarily "russified" it. Same thing happened to many words like e.g. the name "Paul" became "Pavel" in Russian.
I think it came rather from common jewish roots, names like Jacob and Paul.

what i love so much about your content is it feels higher level for sure, but you speak slowly, coherently and you guys do your own subtitles, love the topics so much. all thoughts are coherent and there is context to each sentence, i can also learn easily how I can take these sentence and conversation structures and apply to different conversations and topics

For future lessons, the english translation of блин is not exactly "damn". In english, damn is a stronger filler word. Whereas блин is gentle. "Darn" is a perfect english translation.

Помню, в детстве мы тоже использовали домашнее варенье, моё любимое было малиновое - одновременно сладкое и с кислинкой. Родители называли меня чудаком, потому что я всегда посыпал тост с толстым слоем варенья щепоткой соли. Другая моя странность была в том, что я пил чай с молоком и коричневым сахаром - по-английски. Теперь я больше люблю кофе. Прекрасный эпизод!

The part of this video you mentioned pancakes, you explained them as where I am from would be done with CRAPES. Crapes are thin pancakes rolled and containing jelly, jam, or anything. Corn crapes are known in Mexico as burritos. In U.S. America the traditional pancake is not very healthy but they are preferably thicker than crapes. @@can8figno that's not true. Even though there are a lot of dialects in croatia and serbia and bosnia they all understand eachother fully. It's just a bit of grammar or only certain words that differ
@@hhah23 i've heard that from a foreigners perpective. but it is more difficult to understand other dialects when it's not your native language right? i mean really difficult compared to other languages
for all of you students, whom it's still too fast (like me), go to "settings" and change the speed to 75%. Works perfektly..

i only know one russian phrase well (and only phonetically) due to a woman named Maria aka gentlewhispering’s ASMR russian lesson video from 12 yrs ago. “i love you” is the phrase in english. i heard Liza say she loved red currants, and i understood the love part instantly. super super cool. can’t wait to learn more.

Спасибо большое за лекцию! Между русским и американским завтраками есть много различий, но тоже некоторые сходства. Я, когда завтракаю, часто ем яичницу и бекон с тостами и grits-ами (grits - это кукурузная каша, которую мы очень часто едим на юге США, откуда я родом. Я всегда ем свои grits с сыром, но многим нравится их есть с сахаром.)
Это даже забавно - в детстве я ненавидел яйца, но сейчас, в свои почти 30 лет, я их обожаю! А ведь я ем яйца всего почти 3 года. Но даже в этом случае я ем только жареные или варёные яйца; омлет мне не нравится.
Конечно, многие американцы любят есть блины. Но наши блины отличаются от русских блинов! Американские блины более толстые и их часто едят с маслом и кленовым сиропом. Но мне не нравится кленовый сироп, поэтому я ем блины с маслом и сахаром - и иногда с бананом, арахисовым маслом или шоколадной крошкой (а иногда даже с Нутеллой... очень вкусно 😋)
Многие американцы едят овсянку на завтрак, очень часто с фруктами или ягодами. Например, многие едят её с яблоком и корицей, или с персиками и сливками. Но я предпочитаю овсянку с шоколадом и арахисовым маслом! Некоторые люди едят солёную овсянку, например с сыром, овощами или мясом, но я солёную овсянку не очень люблю.
Моей маме очень нравится есть булочки с корицей на завтрак, а мне тоже. Здесь в Америке булочки с корицей часто покрываются с густой, сладкой глазурью. Глазурь часто имеет зернистую текстуру из-за сахара, особенно если речь идет о булочках из магазина, но если ты вырос и ел американские булочки с корицей, то привыкнешь к этому 😂
А что пьём? Ну, кофе, апельсиновый сок, молоко... Но я обычно пью кофе только по выходным. Чёрного кофе никогда не пью - всегда с молоком и сахаром! Мне нравится тоже кофе «мокка» с шоколадом, а мой любимый вкус мороженого - кофейный ❤
В этом видео есть много вещей, которые я никогда не пробовал, хотя о многих из них я определенно слышал (например кисель).

That's interesting about the sausage. Here in Switzerland in the earlier days they created a drink (actually a powder that you mix with milk) called "Ovomaltine" made of malt and eggs (ovo = egg). It looks a bit like just a chocolate-milk-drink but it has a special taste (of malt). Back then it was thought as some kind of real meal for the ones that weren't in very good shape or also for children. Nowadays this still exists, even in different variations (bars, muesli etc.), but more as a dessert as it has many calories (malt is essentially sugar / carbohydrates), although there are still many who drink it for breakfast.

Hello from Cymru (Wales). Great seeing all the types of food for breakfast. Porridge is one of my favourites for breakfast. I can't eat wheat because of gluten. I miss eating bread. Is the black bread made from rye? A Russian friend once told me to have a hot tea made with raspberry jam and a pinch of pepper for a cold. Definitely warming.
