Thanks for the review. I have been thinking of upgrading from my 2080 8gb and I have decided to go with 7900 xtx and looking at this model in particular.
Had an EVGA GF RTX 3080ti for a few years and felt I couldn't get the performance I wanted out of it. Was getting 2100+ clock speeds out of it with 40c to 55c which was pretty darn good. It started crashing and then lost display port (DP). I used HDMI for a while and I decided to retire it. It's been noted the software had a problem relating to the DP but I picked up a PowerColor Hellhound 7900Xt anyway. Local retailer was really cool. Offered it to me for $750. Such a deal. Naturally I wasn't gonna refuse it. All I do is smile every time I fire up my machine the last month. It's so much faster and cooler.😄

I've been enjoying playing with the new preview drivers too on my 7900XT at 4k. One thing AMD mentioned and i've found especially important when using Fluid Motion Frame Gen is the original framerate needs to be decent enough so that FMF has enough information to work with. I think AMD mentions ideally with 4k you need at least 60fps before enabling. I found this makes a MASSIVE difference in the quality of the generated frames and nearly all artifacts disappear. Cyberpunk felt and looked pretty awful for me too getting sub 60 fps. Starfield was much much better and I didn't notice any artefacts. I'm curious about how 'stacking' all these AMD features (FSR in-game, FMF at driver, Anti-lag, etc) effects things too - I like to think that you need to balance a lot of this to get the best results of performance and looks. (i.e. don't mix FMF with FSR set to ultra-performance). For a beta driver I think its quite impressive and I'm excited to see a native in-game support for FMF at some point. I think we can all agree the ray tracing performance is of course very sub-par VS Nvidia, however even with Nvidia cards enabling RTX you take a massive hit to frames and i'm also a high-res-high-refresh-rate junkie so even with an Nvidia card i'd probably keep RTX features off.

I was considering a 4090 but they go for $3,000 AUD so about $2,000 USD. Even the 4080S was a thousand dollar difference, easiest choice of my life.

If money is no problem, sure, the 4090 is the one to get. I considered a 4080 because I came from a 3080 but, here in the UK, that card is £200-300 more and, even though you get better RT and upscaling, the actual performance is better on the 7900xtx. The market certainly isn't great for GPU's at the moment but if you're willing to accept the AMD card shortcomings, in my opinion, the 7900xtx is a great card. Thanks for the vid

Each to their own, but i think a large screen like yours is best suited for movies and streaming things like Netflix via a smart tv......i plan to do a 27'' 1440p 120fps with my 7900xtx. For me, Ray-tracing is just not worth the fps hit.
You set up to lian LI 360mm fan pack in that case. And average 60° temp. So if only have one fan pack and do enough airflow system will it be enough to keep temp like yours.
I have this card and under load in games 99% gpu load default speed fans temps are on 70c , question is how u have so low temp while gaming or from occt ?

Im not sure if it was asked in comments down below, but how is the power draw in idle ? I sadly live in a place where kilowatthours are worthier then gold.
Thanks for the detailed vid. I am thinking of swapping out my RTX4080 for this as since I upgraded my monitor from 3440x1440 to 5120x1440 the fans stay on 30% at idle instead of 0% and its a very annoying noise (Zotac Extreme Airo Amp). Any issues with this or does the fan-stop work ok when not under load? all the best.
@@sajithsaji3606no, I kept the 4080 for now. If I reduce the refresh from 240 to 120Hz I don't have the fan issue. So I manage it that way. Not ideal but it doesn't cost anything. 😂

I got the Gigabyte AORUS Radeon RX 7900 XTX ELITE with the 7800x3d also. only issue I've ever had was with Cyberpunk and turning on path tracing, it drops the fps quite a bit besides that the card is awesome.
Can this card be mounted on a lian li O11 dynamic ? (The normal one) I can see you also have this case, i'll make a new build soon and i don't want to mount it vertically
I've heard there were a lot of problems with the XTX version, mostly involving the drivers. In fact what is holding the AMD cards back from truly meeting their potential are the drivers. I have the 7900 XT version because of that with 20Gig of memory. I am happy with it. What is disappointing is the power draw, they haven't bothered to make it more efficient.

That's probably cause the card is mounted verticaly and near the side panel of the case. Don't know exactly what case it is, but that's my assumption :)

Ray tracing is up to snuff food gaming right now ..the bit on GPU is not. Worth minor visuals. Maybe in a couple of years... But save your money go RED 4k players make up about 3% of the market. 1080b is true most popular followed by 1440. I think and it's focusing on 1440 to get more market share. it is useful i use it for rimworld 22GB use & in red dead redemption 21GB or even hitman 3 with raytracing the vram is useful if you play max settings 4k with mods so it's superior to a rtx 4080
the MSI TAICHI WHITE is the nicest looking one i think, followed by Hellhound spectral white n then this one
Nice yeah I’ve seen the tachi
You got 3 peels on the center of those 3 fans too. Many miss them(though they are not an issue actually)
i saw that ur refresh monitor thing was only 60hz , check in your settings to see if its only 60 or more
Each to their own, but i think a large screen like yours is best suited for movies and streaming things like Netflix via a smart tv......i plan to do a 27'' 1440p 120fps with my 7900xtx.
For me, Ray-tracing is just not worth the fps hit.
You set up to lian LI 360mm fan pack in that case. And average 60° temp. So if only have one fan pack and do enough airflow system will it be enough to keep temp like yours.
Man got more fans in his PC than I do in my Instagram follower list D:
I have this card and under load in games 99% gpu load default speed fans temps are on 70c , question is how u have so low temp while gaming or from occt ?
Hi man, thanks for the video !
I recently got the same GPU and the same CPU like you, but im stucking in the decision of what monitor get.I play mainly Warzone and dota 2, and other games in sigle player like spiderman, god of war and howarts legacy (no oftenly) but for thoose games i have a tv oled 4k 55" in my room.
My options are the next:
1) Samsung Odyssey G6: 27", 1440p, 240hz, VA, Price $532
2) Samsung Odyssey G7: 28", 4k, 144hz, IPS, Price $658
3)Gigabyte M27Q X: 27", 1440p, 240hz, IPS, Price $793
(Sadly these are the prices in my country)
Which one you recomend?
Damn, I love the look of the Sapphire Nitro+. I have the Sapphire Nitro+ Rx570 8GB and it's still a great card for the games I play.
Nice yeah the 7900XTX is sick!!!!!
Yeah, that is going to be My next upgrade after getting a Ryzen 7 5800X3D.@@WiLcreatives
@@redensign1714 great cpu choice if you’re still on AM4
Was gonna go for this card but decided to try the 4080 super rog strix that costs 200 more here, but the raytracing is so nice
Im not sure if it was asked in comments down below, but how is the power draw in idle ? I sadly live in a place where kilowatthours are worthier then gold.
How many monitors you are using and whats your refresh rate?
Thanks for the detailed vid. I am thinking of swapping out my RTX4080 for this as since I upgraded my monitor from 3440x1440 to 5120x1440 the fans stay on 30% at idle instead of 0% and its a very annoying noise (Zotac Extreme Airo Amp). Any issues with this or does the fan-stop work ok when not under load? all the best.
Did you swapped it ?
@@sajithsaji3606no, I kept the 4080 for now. If I reduce the refresh from 240 to 120Hz I don't have the fan issue. So I manage it that way. Not ideal but it doesn't cost anything. 😂
Hy..very nice card, also same hear, after nVidia for years, the 7900XTX is my new card too, just wanted to ask you what drivers do you use, because for me in the menu, there is only Home/Gaming/Record/Performance, and I am not sure whats with Smart Performance in your Adrenalin soft .... cheers.
I was using the AMD tech preview driver www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-23-30-afmf-tech-preview
The two most beautiful gpus on the market. Period.
what is your noise level with the 7900xtx at 2000+rpm ? Is it to loud?
it's probably loudest cards on the market. buy noise cancelling headphones if you are planning to buy it!
I got the Gigabyte AORUS Radeon RX 7900 XTX ELITE with the 7800x3d also. only issue I've ever had was with Cyberpunk and turning on path tracing, it drops the fps quite a bit besides that the card is awesome.
Yeah it’s definitely not made for path tracing
@@WiLcreatives true that, need the 4090 for sure.. but here is australia, they set u back 3k plus crazy prices..
I agree from a rasterization standpoint it holds it own!!!!!
hey bro, im abit lost, i just got this card but i noticed you have amd fluid motion frames on adre software but i dont... am i missing something?
You have to download the AMD tech preview drivers for fluid motion frames
Had this card and its best 7900xtx.
Cool, what card are you using now?
I’m thinking of buying the 7900XTX still thinking about it tho
Can this card be mounted on a lian li O11 dynamic ? (The normal one)
I can see you also have this case, i'll make a new build soon and i don't want to mount it vertically
Yes it can. The power cables may touch the glass
got asrock rx 7900 xtx max 85c hotspot, i love this card
I have a 7900xtx and its great
I've heard there were a lot of problems with the XTX version, mostly involving the drivers. In fact what is holding the AMD cards back from truly meeting their potential are the drivers. I have the 7900 XT version because of that with 20Gig of memory. I am happy with it. What is disappointing is the power draw, they haven't bothered to make it more efficient.
I haven't experienced any driver issues.
I’m trying to find out what the undervolt results are on this specific card. I’ve seen other xtx’s stay around 350 which is near 4080 levels
Which driver issues?
@@nFinity1985 they were poorly written and caused issues from stuttering and overheating to others that simply lowered the potential that is built in.
@@rwhunt99 Kann ich nicht bestätigen. Meine XTX läuft seit Tag 1 (Januar diesen Jahres) ohne Probleme und ich nehme jedes Treiberupdate mit.
I have that card matched with the 7950X3D on an Asrock Taichi X670E with 128 gbs of trident Z5 expo 6000 Team Group T-Force M.2 2280 2TB Gen5x4, My new system is kinda fast now!😁
I noticed the fan RPM's running higher than i expected. Is that because it's inside of a case warming up or just personal preference? Thanks -
That's probably cause the card is mounted verticaly and near the side panel of the case. Don't know exactly what case it is, but that's my assumption :)
I got the 7900 xtx sapphire pulse for a nice price, otherwise the nitro would have been a great choice! Looking at grabbing one of the new 4k oled monitors coming out this year!
Same I definitely want to get my hands on a 240hz OLED Monitor
@@WiLcreativesDo you have one you are paying extra attention to? I've been looking at the AW3225QF because it's like 300 dollars cheaper where I live. They have some issues they need to fix, though.
Nvidia 4090: " F that lil peasants. Imma double my price. Ya'll trippin"
I have a very similar setup, same gpu and cpu and ram exactly. but my frametime graph is always spiking and making my games stutter. how do you get it to stay so smooth?
Do you have your ram set to expo/xmp in bios settings? What games are you having issues in? What Adrenalin drivers are you using?
I had the Asrock phantom gaming 7900xtx but that one ran a lot hotter that this Sapphire thats why i changed to this one is a lot better with temp and with a little of overclock do in it the right way cuase 7900xtx i a little hard to urdestand the over clock it runs super good
The new drivers for AMD improve the hell divers fps by 20 fps or more. Check it out
Why did you cap every game at 60 fps. And dont use trixx. Use the adrenaline software.... Are you new to amd cards? You should try out the beta drivers for fluid motion works amazingly. 100 percent worth it over a 4090.
Iced tested fluid motion frames it’s okay. With some tweaking it will be great. I also have a 4090. The 4090 is definitely geared towards 4K and Raytracing. 7900XTX is great because for the price you get exactly what you need.
@@WiLcreativesTest the latest Preview Driver. AFMF is amazaing now and works just fine 👌
i just broke prior AMD render caps so i guess it's the 7000 and 7000 series training and r&D soon as i can afford it
Would love to see some COD, and Battlefield gameplay with this beast 😅..
You got it! I was working on some more content for this build.
At what percentage were the fans spinning at when you did the test?
My nitro started making a very annoying sound when the fans actually ramped up over 50% which was everytime I fired up a game
Good question I need to go back and check
Real flagship card. Funnily enough I’m looking at the water cooled version for $1500 and with warranty still cheaper than a 4090. Don’t think I’ll be disappointed.
lol right!
Still use it or have you replaced it with the 4090? :)
Oh I still use it. Fortunate enough to have two computers.
Bro how you get forza Motorsport to even run. My game always crashes or resets to the main desktop/main steam window after the intro video. Do you have a recommendation? My setup is Ryzen 9 5900x, rtx 3090, 2TB 980 pro,
I’m running the game through Xbox game pass. Haven’t had any issues. Have you tried reinstalling the game?
No I haven’t. That is going to be the next thing I do @@WiLcreatives
There was a recent Radeon driver update that supposedly fixed Forza Motorsport crashes, so maybe try that first
Buddy... give it another try with the beta thats been released
.. im running the same card and seeing a 20-30 FPS increase
@Will new sub to your channel, a Nvidia guy for years, but curious about your pc build specs??
Welcome to the family! The build specs on this pc is in the description of the video.
Should I get the 7900 xtx Hellbound for 1025€ or the Nitro for 1243€?
Hellhound is better value. Nitro looks nicer, thats mostly the difference.
Have you tried using the undevolting option on the amd software? I’m very as to what that would look like
Not yet but it’s on the list
Amd is not there yet as far as raytracing vs nvidia cards but just turn raytracing down a lil bit
Thank you for the video man. I am about to send my card back due to Direct X errors, games shutting down, 1% lows and ... Any help before I do (really love the card)? I am playing at 240hz but I always feel microstutters.
What hardware do you have and what graphics card did you upgrade from?
@@WiLcreatives from a 3070ti to a 7900xtx Sapphire, 5800x3d. I have used DDU about 4 times already… I was thinking, could it have to do with being on the OC bios? I really want to leep the card but after 1.2k spent, might as well go back to Nvidia 4070ti
@@DemVerse have you tried loading optimized default settings in the bios and only enabling xmp profile for the ram? Also did you install the latest adrenaline driver software for AMD?

@@WiLcreatives thank you
Should i upgrade from RTX 3080 10GB to this one?
Do you care about ray tracing?
What kills in this card apart from performance is it's width. Length-wise, it's only 7mm longer than the Pulse version. Depending on your case, the Pulse might be better, as it's only 56mm thick.
13:20 - While it's not as configurable as Afterburner, you can turn off the charts and just get numbers on the AMD overlay.
The xtx isn’t a card meant for ray tracing
it has three bios settings on outside of card too p.s
Guys, I have a 5800x3d. I am torn between this, the sapphire 7900 xtx, or the MSI gaming trio RTX 4090. I can afford either, which should I get? 1440p 170Hz monitor but I may try 4K in the future.
If I was you I would go for the 4090 for the RT performance.
@@xtremegamer78 already bought the 7900 xtx. It's great! I don't like RT. I always turn it off in games, and the price of the 4090 is nonsense. So the choice was clear.
@seyahtan24 Yeah cool, I've got the same card
@@xtremegamer78Bro I have a doubt is there any difference in image quality comparing AMD and nvidia or both are same?
that price 🤩
Can change RGB to static one color only?
Ray tracing is up to snuff food gaming right now ..the bit on GPU is not. Worth minor visuals. Maybe in a couple of years... But save your money go RED
4k players make up about 3% of the market. 1080b is true most popular followed by 1440. I think and it's focusing on 1440 to get more market share.
Also the cost per frame is 2x for NVIDIA. Why you you pay1800 for a few more frames ???
Does this board have problems with overheating? I heard they have this problem!!
No overheating issues
need 850W PSU or 1000W?
850
For no Stuttering in games - move to linux , amd + linux : amazing gameplay
Is it worth $1000 usd for raytracing?
If raytracing is what you're after this is the wrong card, you should look at Nvidia. The performance in raytracing on this card is similar to a 3090 from last gen on Nvidia.
the real question is can it run GTA 6?
Gives 4080 a run for its money. 4090 is in a completely different race
Delete the adrenalin software and only download the driver for better %1 fps trust me.
I have this card. But i experience error in modern warfare 3. I try to reinstall the whole game. I hope it fix the problem
I was just thinking about installing this game. What error were you receiving?
hey, how are you?
can you help me?

Another detail is that all of the computer's LEDs (RGB) remain accessible.
