Even his and Emily's piano scene was a ton more bonding than Victor and Victoria's. Him being so allegedly in love with Victoria does not make sense from a script pov. A man who met his arranged fiance and got to talk to her for a couple minutes is suddenly in love, but that love only pops for his initial rejection towards Emily for being a corpse.
