I wonder everytime someone decodes vishwaroopam, they use to tell something unnoticed!! Too much of material loaded in this movie. Btw its yet another stupendous work from Rangan😉
Some where or the other I feel that BR took the credits of a Quoran who beautifully explained the nuances of the film(same as BR's review) .Don't know whether it was a matter of co incidence

Fantastic analysis sir. After seen your analysis, KamalHaasan is the best director in world film industry. He was taken the film just like other directors did. How much research he did. Hats off to Kamal Haasan sir and you as well for an awesome analysis. I look forward to see the same for part 2.
Whoa!!👏👏 👏👏 Yesterday I watched viswaroopam after almost 5 and a half years!!, to recollect small details before catching up the second version this weekend. Definitely my comprehension levels, emotional quotient, empathy has all gone up. I had seen it two times back to back last time. All that I was looking out was for whether there is any objectionable content, harming any sect of people.. first time, I was in total awe of this man!! Second time, again I fell for him many times. Well, what can you expect from a die hard fan, who only gets inspired everytime on watching him in all mediums❤️❤️ Yesterday, I paid attention to details, went back to some scenes, paused it , recollected the continuity and then watched.. After watching your analysis, I love the frame in frame angle, and the reflection too. The scene in the climax sequence, where Nirupama sits inside the car, and the car mirror is seen inside the larger frame ,I too thought it's a good frame. Well, am quite naive and new to all this, though am a film buff, and love to watch films of all jonar and appreciate.. I vaguely remember the art director in an interview mentioning that it was challenging to design the sets as they was several reflections shots..also on watching several interviews of Ravi Varman sir, I could appreciate what it is!! I too felt that how does the deep character discloses so much to Nirupama, and also somewhere I felt, her character could have been more smart. I felt she was shown dumb.. Thanks much BR sir for your effort.. looking forward eagerly for Viswaroopam 2.
I watched this movie like 100 times and after 4years now I understand what is VISHWAROOPAM..! Salute Kamal sir’s brain. And thanks for the flashback analysis 👍
Classic movie decoding which is completely different from the other videos... Which I have watched about decoding , reviewing or explaining "kamal hassan's" viswaroopam.
The most technically polished Indian action movie I've ever seen. That shot of the piegeon at the beginning when the credits start appearing is just as poetic as it could get.
Omg.. I wonder how could you come up with such detailed analysis.. Wondering how many times you have watched this movie to bring something like this.. Great one BR Sir. Hats off.. Salute..
i watched this in the theatre when i was 17 years old and i didnt understand anything except that the accents were bad and it was uncomfortable to watch as a muslim. But i always knew it was trying to say something more. thank you for your analysis. if only mainstream movies were like this and this industry was free of siruthai siva, atlee, iamk santosh, susi ganesan, hari, adhik ravichandran and etc
Sharath Nb it is called Film analysis I studied at a film institute there we have separate classes for Film Analysis that was the most important for Director , Cinematographer,Editor etc We have to study the characters ,what director trying to say in this shot?? ,why the shot is kept like this ?? We have to analyse every scene like this, first we have to gain a basic knowledge about the Shots used in Cinematography Like this it goes on and on ...Simple aa sonna have to watch too many good world movies
I listen to Harsha Bhogle more for the joy of listening to his narrative ability than understand a cricket match. I will now start listening to Baradwaj Rangan for his depth of analysis, objectivity and narrative style rather than for the interest of knowing a film.
This is one hell of a detailing involved review.Hats off to this genius reviewer.I particularly liked the way that he compared the art form(films) with science and maths which have to be top notch and errorless.Thanku sir
Xctly sir mny of nrth indian frnds thy didnt undrstnd the movie bcz thy see only bollywud bgrde movies like race3 and here thre r quality flms morovr its a kamal movie mny dnt knw abt his brilliance nice video keep doing it......u too r a genius....
Ragul L I don't think so. For the sake of analysis, he must have watched it many times. its difficult to get metaphors and allegories in a single glance
It's good for making analysis videos but you lose the magic. Film makers intentionally keep such things as subtexts which the viewers absorb without knowing the technicalities. If you go explain all the making techniques, i would say the magic gets lost. Just My opinion.
Terrific. Now I want to watch Viswaroopam 1 again before ll get released. Inna ma decoding @BR could you please decode Uttama Villian? Reason is simple I am not able to watch not more than once especially the historic part is horrible. Why did they concentrate more on flash back n other stuff? When the actor is suffering from cancer and the way he protrays to his son that he has cancer (speechless)
Too good BR sir!!! Lovely analysis!! When watching viswaroopam 1, I felt that kamalhaasan the director and writer stands tall comparing the actor in him.. Typical KH style!!
Great insight. The one thing I always found odd was with the way the film dealt with non-tamil speaking characters. I had seen Thuppakki roughly the same time as Vishwaroopam. Thuppakki had non-tamil characters speak hindi, which was drowned out by tamil being dubbed over. I thought this was a rather clever way of dealing with the issue. Whereas Vishwaroopam had a scene where two afghanis are sitting in a van and talking in tamil. It took me out of the film. But it's weird that it's a Kaml film which took the easy way out and have non-tamil characters converse in tamil

Got to watch this movie recently and it is largely based on Arnold Schwarzenegger's spy thriller, True Lies. I'm surprised the reviewer did not mention this.
I have one question. I do know that some points are better left to the imagination of the viewer in a good film. But what is your take on how Dawkins knows about the tapes carrying the terror message being sent to the antique shop? I’m not able to get a logical explanation for this.
When Rajeev Masand reviewed this, he called it "unbashedly entertaining, although you wish it were smarter" despite being made keeping the Hindi backdrop in mind without be classified as a dubbing (most Northie people still assume, south matlab dubbing. ) Really glad when you called this a "dumb action movie with smarts" because that's what this is. As good as a Ludlum novel. BR for a reason! :)
BR for a reason!!!
For all d people out there. This is how film analysis should actually be like.
Summava kuduthanga national award.🙏👏👏
❤️
Fact
for what movie analysis he got that award?
Absolutely right

As if we weren't already in awe of Kamal's creative intelligence, this analysis makes the already-open jaw drop further down.

What's interesting about this video is that it's very interesting that I don't even realise the video is 17 mins long!
We need this kind of movie review of Indian cinema legend Kamal sir.... I don't have word to describe your video analysis.......
That unnai kaanadhu song and choreography was excellent 👌 Only Kamal sir can dance with such grace

Another decode I made: Vishwanath emergers from darkness as he dances his way to the light, shows how Wisam emerges as Vishwanath from undercover. 🙂
I want review for Uttam villan
By the way your research for this movie 👌
The GOAT of movie critic. Pure genius

RoadRash NT there is a word called cinema nuances, A director must know about these to direct a film
Re-watch the movies directed by such legends in different perspectives. Hope u will have a good time ahead! 😊
